BAe Hawk FG.2A
B52STRATO replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
I didn't know that someone made a Hawk 200, really nice project ! -
I recommend very seriously Illuminados por el Fuego (Blessed by Fire) - Argentina. There is also: - L'Ennemi intime (Intimate Enemies) - France - Steal the Sky - U.K - The Dambusters - U.K - Le Ciel sur la tête (a.k.a Allarme dal cielo) - France (Maybe not available in English, shurely subtitle, but lot of nice catches of Etendard IV and Alizé) - Sink the Bismark! - U.K - Above Us the Waves - U.K - Die Letzte Brücke (The Last Bridge) - Austria

It's simply awesome !! This recall many good times past on this game ! P.S: really like the revenge on Natalya at the end
-
It looks like a Battlestation, less beautiful, but so much more intense and exciting !!

I told him that the world of airsoft is more and more havoc with people...

Painful to watch. But, even without the presence of Man, this eventually happen... as happened before.
-
Good luck ! The most painful was to support other smoke around you while you are holding, but the strongest succeed !

Congratulations ! You can be proud of doing this giant, and still magic, step. I personaly do it at St-Barths rwy 10 in 2006, I got 14 years old at this time. Our first flights will stay in our memories forever, a strange mix of excitement and pleasure, the slight rise of stress on final, that little hand shaking on the yoke, looking straight at the runway number while alternating with the instruments. But you summary it better in this testimony. Again, well done !

After reading an article on the B-57B and RB-57 in Vietnam, the memory came back of seeing a picture several years ago of a G version of the 'Canberra'... armed with a multitube cannon in the bombay, deployed down. The picture in black and white was bad but 'pods' under each wings could be distinguished. Anyone know if this modification was ever used in combat ?

Your first combat flight sim...
B52STRATO replied to Gunrunner's topic in General Flight Sim Discussion
Wow, still active after these years ! I think it was CFS or maybe 'F-22 Lightning' by Novalogic (I still like to drop the B-61 on the Tu-95 base) -
Thank you both for the information ... and the link, of course. This project seems to have been aborted too early, maybe its application was more effective on another platform, especially for a system that offered a shot as possible from all angles, much advantageous than the cross fire from 'Spooky' and 'Spectre'.

I like CombatAce because it is a perfect window to display once the tab "only for 18 or more" closed.

Mentor T-34 Armada Argentina Blue
B52STRATO replied to Ariell's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - File Announcements
This is a nice livery... and just a few days before the thirtieth anniversary of the start of the conflict. -
Good one !! Remember this old classic

Looks exactly like the fast boats use here, in Caribbean, to carrier drugs. Some are captured and then abandoned later, and sometimes sold. But these ones seem to be particularly well equipped, with access hatch at the rear and a kind of 'stealth' forms. Mmmh... Gas engines ?

Rafale wins Indian MMRCA contract
B52STRATO replied to ghostrider883's topic in Military and General Aviation
Even I'm not a fan of the 'Rafale' this could be see as a good news for Dassault Indutries. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel that its ability to be carried played in his selection. Maybe the I.A.F could consider a possible shipment of its new aircraft along the others from the Indian Navy in case of an emergency conflict, as has dared to do the R.A.F with her GR.3 on the 'Invincible', 'Hermes' and 'Atlantic Conveyor' . Only in cases of an emergency situation, of course. -
Look at these medals, it looks like our Generalisimo still love play with Legos !

Idk why but missiles
B52STRATO replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
It may be due to the missile type, the first 'Sparrow' gen or others like Magic I and Shaffrir I was knowed to fall like 'bidons' even after been locked. -
A few questions Regarding the T-45 Goshawk
B52STRATO replied to SkyStrike's topic in Military and General Aviation
As he's with the "Remove Before Flight" safeties, these doors might be a simple inspection hatches. Normally the main differences are an overall strengthening of the cell, the addition of the catapult launch bar on the nose wheel, the tailhook and spoilers on the sides of the unit. -

There's flying low . . and. . FLYING LOW
B52STRATO replied to abyss's topic in Military and General Aviation
I should try to find photos of my great uncle, he had fought in Indochina on 'Bearcat' and keep many pictures of him and his wing men, close to the water, the tip of the blades touching the surface. -
Having recently returned to a specific old book about the KC-135 a detail struck me about the crew of the 'Silver Sows'. Everyone aboard wears a helmet with visor, I have a feeling that this is a copy looking like those worn by the crews of B-52, I could be wrong. But why the 'Stratotanker' crews wear these helmets ? As most of the pictures come from a KC-135Q, was it to protect them from the corrosive danger of JP-7 or to be protected against a nuclear flash ? Someone got an idea or the response ?

Question about the S.A.C crew.
B52STRATO replied to B52STRATO's topic in Military and General Aviation
Thank you, "Lexx", this link is exciting and rewarding about the behavior of S.A.C flight crews, I'm drowning in all these stories since last night ! Several men of exception will continue to fly the old reliable 52 again for a while. In a similar category, there's the testimony of Major Tom Allison, first pilot to have taken the SR-71 over Europe on 20 May 1977. -
Number of... "friends" on Facebook... on a CV ??? We live in a really sad period
