An A400m has crashed at approx 2 km off Sevilla airport this morning. Spain prime minister M. Rajoy told to the press there was about 8 to 10 peoples onboard. This first lost of an A400M involves aircraft MSN23, which was intended to enter service with the Turkish Air Force. It should have been the third on a ten aircraft contract with the TAF to replace their aging Transall fleet.

I'm afraid of talking with complete nonsense about the powerful engine units of that time. But in light aviation we tend to cruise around 80 to 85% on our flat-4/6 or radial-5 and to 75% with the Rotax 100 familly at near AMSL until 3500 ft. Of course this change with your altitude and, accordingly, RPM, manifold pressure, etc. I hope this answer helps a bit.

According to one of the surviving FE the aircraft would have suffered failure on more than one of its TP400. -

For years I looked after a film I had seen very young on VHS and which had deeply marked me. Today I just found out that a good soul put it online, so as to share it with those who could be interested, here is Across the Lake https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z37P5Yny9fQ From 1988, with Anthony Hopkins as Sir Donald Campbell, depicting the last days of his life until the 4th January 1967 when it disappeared aboard his jet hydroplane catamaran Bluebird K7, trying to set a speed record of 300 mp/h on water.

As IRIAF RF-4s made one of the two pre-strike recon flight over the Iraqi powerplant in cooperation with IDF/IAF, will the IQAF, this time, plays some kind of same role ?

Was it not Chuikov that said to the U-5TS developping team something like "Mount this gun on a pig, if necessary, but make it comes into service!".

Release scheduled around late 2015 on PC. Inspired from Road Warrior universe, it will be partly independent of the trilogy (well tetralogy normally) and turn especially around races and improving the Interceptor. I don't know what I could give to see and fight Lord Humungus! Walk tall cool collected but savage. Walk tall bruised sensual ravaged. It's ev'ry man for himself ev'ry woman ev'ry child a new breed ferocious and wild.

Thunderstrikes down under
B52STRATO replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
Interesting to know, thank you Spinners. About the A-5 I wondering how much RAAF should had paid with its operational cost, as with the Mirage IV, including that both were not masterpieces about their payload for "classic" warfare. -

I could see this written in a book under a Thunderstrike picture : finally the Aussies got enough awaiting for their F-111s. -

I would bet on a Panther, the Ouragan wings were lower by the fuselage. -
I thought suppositories were supposed to go in the a**holes, not launched from them. A costly failure for these garish.

Two days ago peoples sent me like a piece of crap on another forum for lifting the theory of a suicide. Eventually for a continuous 3000ft/min descent around 400kt, without radio contact I don't see much alternatives, as with the Embraer 190 from LAM 470 there is a bit over a year now.

A long-range supersonic Swedish Interceptor
B52STRATO replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Sci-Fi/Anime/What If Forum
If fiction wants the JA38 to be "killed" by his brother the JAS39, I suggest Fáfnir.
