Well it's official

As someone who does (Organic) Chemistry for a career, I find all cheesy science jokes funny. On topic, I can wait a little longer if it means a better product. -

SF2V expansion graphic problem
pyro posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Hello everyone, can someone help? Recently upgraded the PC, and reinstalled my stock SF2/E/I/V + Exp 1 and 2 merged install. Everything good. Installed the excellent WFI (which was cloned from stock SF2 Europe.exe), everything good. Installed the also excellent SF2V expansion, and I get large black squares over the terrain. Below is an example. Anyone any ideas? Something to do with 3D settings in NVIDIA control panel? Thanks in advance. Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, Intel i-7-2600 CPU @3.4GHz, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1024MB Driver version 280.26 -
SF2V expansion graphic problem
pyro replied to pyro's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Ok thanks for pointing me in the right direction. For some reason not all of the files in the terrain folders (in part 2) had copied across to the appropriate new mod folder, resulting in the missing textures/objects. Sometimes, it's the obvious things...... I'm off 'downtown' (with appropriate ordinance of course). Thanks for the help. -

After months of hard work and saving, my new gaming rig arrived and is up and running, and SF2 looks bootylicious, runs smooth as a nut everything maxed out.. these are from the superb WFI -
found elsewhere..

Hello all, Sorry for the stupid question but here goes... Well got hold of TrackIR 5, lovely bit of kit it is too.. Got it working fine in my fully merged SF2 install, but it only works in cockpit view, is this correct? It does not seem to work for external panning around the aircraft (or any type of external view). Is this normal or is there something else I'm missing? Did a quick forum search but came up blank. Anyway many thanks in advance

Anyone got an Saitek X52?
pyro replied to Soulfreak's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
If you can get hold of some silicone based lubricant *insert joke here*, from a hardware store, the heavy kind not the spray, that works well and keeps going for about a month or so. -
Anyone got an Saitek X52?
pyro replied to Soulfreak's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I'm using the X52 pro for 3 years now. One thing I keep hearing is that some people think the stick is quite light in terms of resistance. Personally I quite like a light feeling stick that's not to heavy, but others say it's too light and you can have a tendency to over compensate, especially in pitch. I've even put cable ties around the bottom spring to reduce tension. So it's up to which style you like i guess. Anyway, for the 100 or so GBP I paid for it, great value all round -

Now this guy was good... ran me around for a good 10 min. An eternity in air combat. This was after a strike mission so I was guns only. -
