Radar jamming

In real life its caused by the phosphorescence of the CRT display decaying unevenly. -
Not seen any of our Merlins? The old Sea king HC.4's are still a good utility chopper.

I work in the systems dept, where i work and i've tested most antivirus programs. The best for absolute protection is Gdata antivirus. It uses two different engines at the same time, and will pick up over 99% of virus infections. But it is very resource heavy. The best for a gaming system is probably NOD 32, its very light weight and makes a minimal difference to the systems performance. General purpose antivirus, AVG, AVIRA, AVAST are all reasonable, though AVG isnt as good as it used to me. Kaspersky is ok but it has issues with some adware/spyware programs.

Redtop and Firestreak
Hokum posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I have these missiles from an SF1 Lightning, i've tried to import them into SF2, they seem to work fine, but i cannot see them. I have a .lod file and a weapon ini and a weapon data ini so everything is working apart from making them visible. Any ideas? -
Redtop and Firestreak
Hokum replied to Hokum's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I think i cracked it, the flies have a mix of Firestreak and Firestreak IRa2a and Firestreak IR a2a. I've changed everything to Firestreak and they appear and work! YAY! Now my Jaelins and Lightning's look right! -

There was an all weather 2 seater which was proposed though... it never got past the prototype stage though. -
Very nice looking set of sticks, shame i probably wont be able to afford them for about... 18 years... (just had our first child).

I've seen the AN-225 fly over my house about two years back when it was landing at Manchester Airport. Its bloody massive! It makes a 747 look like a Gulf Stream!

Nice spinners, i like the whatif/crimson skies stuff. I wonder is someone could do a Miles M.39? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miles_Libellula Now that would be an interesting plane... -
Oooooooh, this should stir some interesting responses...
Hokum replied to tn_prvteye's topic in Military and General Aviation
The question should be if to go for new F-16's or renew the current fleet. Surely going the referb route is the cheapest? It would mean only new chassis and no conversion training... If you go for new F-16's the difference between that and going for refurb F-18's becomes less. You'll need new parts and crew training on both anyway. How about some Su-30MKI's ;) -
I'm still using my almost 9 year old sticks, and wondered if anyone here still have any of these venerable bits of hardware.

Imagine Israel with Eurofighters or Gripen NG's! Though i think they would probably go UAV?

Not a true engine, but the device is still a heavy lump taking up space. It uses a similar process to the YAK-41/141.

IMO I've never been a fan of the F-35, but constantly cutting back isn't progres either... My Opinion on the VTOL JSF is even lower. Seperate lift and forward flight engines is not a step forward over the harrier...
