  1. OT The First Snow of Winter

. In my little corner of the frozen midwest it is 5 degrees, (-15 to my Celsius friends), with wind rattling the windows in my old farm house, and a layer of ice on everything including the foot of snow on the ground. It will be a slow trip over the river and through the woods when to Grandmother's house we go today. The coffee always tastes sweeter on mornings like this. .
  2. . Very cool Olham! I had seen this one before quite some time ago, but now we have a current link to it again. Thanks Sir. .

. "I want to fly in the Great War, not finance it." AAAAAAAAAAA HAAAA HAAAAA HAAAAAAA! ...priceless HS... .
  16. My Desktop for Tomorrow...

. Very, very apropos Dej. I have set it as my desktop for today as well Sir. Thank you for sharing. .
  17. . OOOOOOOOOOH YES! I've been in that same type of trouble myself Olham. But it was so worth it. BTW, I'll check that water again when I get home and see if I can get some pics showing the before and after difference in the settings. Cheers! Lou .
  18. Songs for the Mess

Oh, good idea Dej! Here's one: Stand To Your Glasses Steady (was sung in the 1938 release of "Dawn Patrol") Stand to your glasses steady This world is a world full of lies A toast to the dead already Hurrah for the next man to die We stand 'neath resounding rafters The walls around us are bare They echo back our laughter It seems that the dead are still here Stand to your glasses steady This world is a world full of lies A toast to the dead already Hurrah for the next man to die In flaming Spad and Camel With wings of wood and steel For mortal stakes we gamble With cards that are stacked for the deal Stand to your glasses steady This world is a world full of lies A toast to the dead already Hurrah for the next man to die Denied by the land that bore us Betrayed by the ones we hold dear The good have all gone before us And only the dull are still here Stand to your glasses steady This world is a world full of lies A toast to the dead already Hurrah for the next man to die We loop in the purple twilight We spin in the silvery dawn With a trail of smoke behind us To show where our comrades have gone Stand to your glasses steady This world is a world full of lies A toast to the dead already Hurrah for the next man to die Hurrah for the next man to die! And here is the clip from the movie: Stand To Your Glasses Steady Lou .
  19. . I wish my ambulance customers were half as easy to do business with as you are Hellshade. Thanks again Sir. .
  20. . A check it is then. And of course you wouldn't want to part with it until you have the new card dialed in properly. I'll PM you. Many thanks Hellshade. .
  21. . I would glady buy it from you for $75 Hellshade. Do you have a PayPal account Sir? .
  22. . Carrick, you wouldn't happen to be the youngest child in your family would you Sir? Just giving you a bit of a wind up C. You know we skinners are always looking for an excuse to paint a new bus. .
  23. Paul Blum's Story: A BHaH Pilot's Saga

. Thank you Elephant, glad you're enjoying Paul's saga Sir. Thought it was time to give his sweetheart Sophie a "voice" in the story. .
  24. . Hellshade, I went in and tried your settings but noticed no difference with my system. However, I then started playing around and discovered that if I turn Z-Bias Clouds up to 4 the cloud popping at the edges of the screen goes away completely, (never really saw much tree popping in my set-up). Also, (and this one may be my imagination or lack of enough coffee so far this AM), I bumped all four water settings up to 3 and it seems to have improved the looks of that feature as well. More tweaking is in order in these settings I do believe. Many thanks for this very useful tip Sir. Cheers! Lou .
  25. . Oh for the want of a bigger check book. Very nice HS, keep us posted on when it arrives and you have it up and running. BTW, what are you doing with your old card? .
