Post a pic of your town
Cameljockey replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Here are some pics of my hometown of Hampton/Varnville, SC (Siamese towns) as "Greenbow, Alabama" in the movie Forrest Gump. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...%3D342%26um%3D1 CJ -
What nationality are you?

My home town Hampton/Varnville's claim to fame is being Forrest Gump's home town. Go here and scroll down to "Greenbow, Alabama" and you'll see pictures of Varnville, SC as it was seen in the movie. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...%3D342%26um%3D1 -

Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos was one of my favorites, as well as Enemy Aces. I still remember a line from one. It was about a German pilot who was scared to death to go into battle. IIRC (it was close to 40 years ago) the statement was, "You can do what you want to me, I'm not going up in that paper mache' coffin!".

System Gurus - video card advice?
Cameljockey replied to shortbutslow's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Look on the back of the computer and it should have a Service number. Google that number or go to Dell.com and put it there. It will tell you pretty much everything about it as far as system specs. -
System Gurus - video card advice?

Al, Al, Al. Here's an article on the subject. http://news.softpedia.com/news/8800GTX-Pow...sis-40450.shtml And a quote from the article...... "Real tests made by the guys at Anandtech revealed that a high end PC that uses an 8800GTX series card consumes about 320W. And Im talking about a high priced Core 2 Duo with 2GBs of Ram here." I run an Antec EA650 that provides more than enough power for all of the necessary stuff, though one that high is not required. 430-480w should be enough (for the whole computer, not just the card). -

Or you could look around for a used 8800GTX. They're relatively inexpensve now, and a lot of bang for the buck. 768Mb of GDDR3 memory. I'm thinking of getting a second one and run two in SLI since the newer cards are way out of my price range. -
I gathered from his posts that Bullethead is a military man and may be busy doing the real military thing.

I'm going to get it now! Later! CJ -
A professionally prepared concoction. Who'd a thunk it. Thanks for the tip. It can probably be had at popular wrench havens (auto parts stores) also.
-
It would roll off the end of the treadmill and take off, or crash.
-
It worked! Now I can have Bugs Bunny send me off toward the Front! I may be singing this song by the time I get back.
-
Thanks Herr Prop.Wasche. I'll try that. CJ

Are you sure that's the path? I went to C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftGames\CFSWWIOverFlandersFields\Campaigns\CampaignData and replaced the original startup.wav with the one that RAF_Louvert posted (after I renamed it) and it still plays the original "Contact, Clear!" I couldn't find any folder name "OBD Software". I can go to C:\ProgramFiles|yadayadayada, and double click "startup" and it plays the Bugs Bunny .wav file, but go into the game and it still plays the same "Contact! Clear!" Nothing against you Pol, but I've loved Bugs Bunny for the biggest portion of my life. It pissed me off when the took him off the air because he was "too violent".

Yeah, what he said.

Have you considered graphite and alcohol? The alcohol helps the graphite get into the mechanism and then evaporates, leaving dry "lubricated" surfaces.

I've got one of those too Rickitycrate. They're great for flying the WWII bombers and for general aviation sims like FSX. It doesn't get near the use that SWFFB does!
