  1. Fascinating stuff Makai! I love it. I get chills just looking at the photos, I can only imagine how it must feel to actually see something like this materialize out of the depths in front of you! Awesome. Just freakin' awesome. I really enjoyed the gallery of paintings on the web site also. I think I may have read the whole site. Great stuff! Unfortunately I don't get the National Geographic Channel. Bummer. CJ
  2. Well, that wasn´t fair!

That sucks itifonhom! I know how you feel though. This was my best campaign in Phase 2, ended also by friendly fire. I haven't even gotten close to the same success in BH&H yet. CJ
  3. Thanks Wrench! It's a kit from Guillow's, a non flying static display. I'm building it to decorate my little boy's room. 1/28th scale 7/16"=1' Length-28 1/2" (72.39cm) Wingspan-45 1/2" (115.57cm) He's got a Fokker DrI hanging in his room now and a Sopwith Camel to go with it (still in the box at present)
  4. Let's see. Most of my time is spent caring for my Wife and our three year old son. That's more than a full time job, but I do find some time for myself. In no particular order.. Flight sims (naturally, no jets) tinkering on my '93 5.0 Mustang Playing bass guitar for a five piece variety band Building model planes cars etc, plastic and wood Building and repairing PCs aggravating the RoF groupies at SimHQ:grin: CJ
  5. Here's my Catalina PBY5A work in progress. CJ
  6. Christmas will be here soon

All you have to do is download it and put it on a disk. Then you have it, just in case! CJ
  7. Graphics woes

Rickitycrate, have you tried Alacrity PC? It does the same thing as Enditall but I find it to be more "user friendly" than Enditall. You can find it here.......... http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/ CJ
  8. A little OFF vs ROF Humor Video

    Climbing to angel's eleven! Roger!
  9. Stability issue with OFF

You are a little lacking in CPU speed and system memory. Lower Spec system example - Minimum recommended to have a reasonable experience: CPU Type: AMD XP3200 or higher (2.2Ghz+) or Intel 2.2 Ghz Duo Core or higher 20 GB of disk space. Memory Amount: 2 GB or more Video Card Make/Type: NVidia Geforce 6600GT (256MB) / RADEON X850 XT or higher Example OFF Slider settings: 352221 Overall Graphic Detail: 3 Aircraft:5 Effects:2 Terrain:2 Scenery:2 Clouds:1 Skins settings: low Depending on system configuration should give FPS around 10 min-40 max depending on settings in workshop Lower settings are possible for lower systems but fps may be poor. CJ PS: Have you tried "Alacrity PC" or "Enditall"?
  10. According to his website, the Pitts S-2S weighs 1500 lbs and the engine generates 400+ horsepower. Rate of climb is 4000 fpm and max speed is 240 mph. Cruising speed is 175 mph. Just give me five of these, armed to the teeth, in OFF and I'll change the outcome of WWI!
  11. Like I said in another thread, that video has been debunked long ago as a fake. If you want to see a real looney toon, watch this guy. I witnessed this in Beaufort myself. Awesome!
  12. Hats off to the Hun!

Bullethead, that video was debunked as a fake long ago. If you want to see a real looney toon, watch this guy. I witnessed this routine at the MCAS Beaufort Airshow in May. Just try staying on his six!
  13. Question to our German Friends

It was a general statement Olham. If you read the news regularly you'll see many (too many) people crying about being offended by something someone did or said, at least here in the States. It has gotten so prevalent that Robert D. Raeford, "Curmudgeon at Large" for the "John Boy and Billy Big Show" has named this country the "United States of The Offended". People need to grow some more skin and stop all of the whining! No one here seems to be offended, but, taken out of context, I'm sure there are some who would be offended by and more than willing to whine about such terms as "Hun, Bosch, Limey, or Frog". BTW Bullethead, I'm also a native Texan in exile. Born in Weatherford and raised in Pasadena.
  14. Question to our German Friends

Whatever happened to the old saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!"? People are too easily offended these days IMO.
  15. Lt. von Feuervogel is back! My personal skin, but I'm not a skinner. It's an OvS skin.
  16. stump will be gone till further notice

Daaaaaammmmmmmmiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt! That sucks Stump! Where are all of the guardian angels when you really need them. About all I've got that would be of any use at all would be an Antec EA500 PSU, a GeForce 7600GS PCIe, and a P4 2.8Ghz CPU, but you're welcome to any of them if you need them. CJ
  17. The one in the black hat with the banjo is my older brother, Darrel. Enjoy!
  18. OT/ A little music for your ears

Actually BirdDog, he's a little closer to you now. He moved to Pawnee where he has his luthiery and music shop. I've got kinfolk in KS too, a sister in Manhattan.
  19. OT/ A little music for your ears

Thanks guys! I'm proud of my brother. He's also a luthier and hand made the banjo, mandolin, guitar, and the dobro that they're using.
  20. Top screenshots needed

    Here's a hot one.
  21. Top screenshots needed

Those are great shots Rabu! The Noop in the clouds is one of my faves too.
  22. Top screenshots needed

I posted these previously but I'll post 'em again!
  23. That "other WWI sim" is an excellent WWI aircraft simulator, second to none. I use it to practice because after flying the planes in RoF, it makes the planes in OFF a lot easier to fly. OFF is my main sim and will be for a long, long time. I just love to fly WWI crates, no matter who makes them. I don't care for the online requirement, but it is what it is. I highly recommend it for all enthusiasts of WWI aircraft. YMMV CJ BTW There is a demo out now. Try it. You just may like it.
  24. I think you're referring to the saying, "Still waters run deep" Olham.
