I did not think anyone used that - its a bit of original CFS3 - I can overhaul it if enough people say so but IMO its not worth using at all. A slider will not make it better - its a s**te texture WM

Yes its a bit confusing I know. Its random in that there is a die roll involved but the bias of the die roll is historical based on year thus: In 1914 - 1915 it there is no die roll - the less aggressive AI is used exclusively. From 1916 onwards there is a die roll with the bias for Aggressive AI increasing over the years til armistice.... Historical mode is simply a way to spice up the AI (so the player sees varying opposition) in a way that is fairly realistic with the constrains of the period that the player is flying in. If we add a random mode (we probably wont) it would be a 50 50 die roll from 1914 to armistace. HTH WM

HITR Known issues Post Patch 1.46...... Updated Asof 20/12/09: 1) Fuel and Ammo (bullets) % no longer functional for the player's craft as we now have a unique instance of craft. Currently being worked on! Hi Guys, Just to let you all know that ammo and bullet loadout options are still very much on our to do list for HitR. Yes its not an easy fix otherwise you would have had it in 1.46 already but we decided to patch the balance of issues before X-mas. So what am I saying? Ammo and Loadout fix will not be available till the new year at this rate, and we still have to find the solution, but please be assured that it is on our list and is being worked on. IF and only IF, we get to the point where its not fixable, 1) we will let you know so there is no ambiguity and 2) it will no longer be on the issues list. This will not be an issue for P4 either: ammo and fuel selection will be in. HTH WM

The answer is yes and there is no choice in the matter - its down to system files becoming locked so cannot be changed once invoked in a manager session there is no setting in CFS3 like this we are deep down in code here. What we have now given everyone, after reading posts on this forum, is the option to have BH&H AI or HitR AI... and an extra option to spice it up a bit - its not a bad decision we have given something extra... you can just ignore it. To play HitR as we intended select aggressive AI and move on! WM -

AI options: Less Aggressive = HitR AI ... always Aggressive = BH&H AI ... always Historical = Prior to 1916 i.e 1914 and 1915 - HitR AI only. 1916 Onwards some randomness.... switching between HitR AI and BH&H and changes only once per manager session And guys no we cannot do any more for P3 AI we are too locked into P4 now - it was not our intention to change AI for this addon so what you have now is a bonus..... Hello - I can say its not the expansion, but before you reinstall try going to workshops and press the "Reset CFS3 Files" button - this may sort the issue. HTH WM -
Its controlled by OFF - by the craft skin res settings in the workshops...easiest is to change it there WM

I cannot believe that downloading a zip file unzipping and running the standard OFF patch installer (same as all patches to date) can give someone so much hassle... I am speechless. Please be aware there is no problem with the zip file, nor the installer...for HitR HTH WM

Yes it certainly seems that the pilots in WW1 did not manage fuel load...and given the short range of the craft they were always refueled to capacity WM

Remember the Internet can easily crap out so a download manager that can auto reconnect is very important when downloading large files. Without a good download manager I doubt you will ever get the file... esp true here in SA and I am sure many parts of the world..... WM

Yes Set Auto Exit Mission to off in workshops. You will now remain in the seat until you are dead - before you would exit OFF on excessive craft damage... HTH WM

Looks like it is caused by the Esc Laf using a special character on the letter e.
