    CFS3 runs at whatever res you set it up for. OFF manager runs at desktop. There is no connection between the Manager and the sim run time resolutions HTH WM

    The same applies: 1) If the skin is completely 3rd party content you can simply upload to the Combat Ace downloads - contact MK2 etc 2) If the skin is a mod/tweak of an OBD skin (i.e. it contains OBD original artwork - even if only in part) then you will need to check with us as I am sure you can understand that the originator might have issues with his work being uploaded as someone else's.... Other than that go wild but please upload mods to Combat Ace is all I ask! Cheers WM

    Here is how I would like to see this done: Of course anyone can and will mod files no problem its the way of the game and fun too: 1) If the mods are totally free of any original OFF content i.e solely the work of the 3rd party go ahead and upload them to Combat Ace for sharing we accept no responsibility if said files cause issues in OFF. 2) If the mods are database files or contain original OFF content - eg skins that contain original artwork etc or sounds that are simply tweaked then again no problem simply contact us on support for a nod (we will check to makes sure its not a legal issue) and then give credit to OFF originators as part of the download splurb - and again we accept no responsibility if said files cause issues in OFF. 3) We would prefer you to only upload the files to Combat Ace download section - so please contact them in this regard.   6. Yes we have noted DII as well (Pol and I were re discussing this today and we both mentioned the DII) so as I say we are looking into this but no promises on time. Cheers WM
  7. Well for an upcoming patch, hopefully 1.3, we do want to fix/improve the N11 as it is notably bad - we will look at the Pfalz too. I certainly am not talking about reworking ANY AI code - not for this Phase at any rate - but simply to fix the bad uns. But we will announce some OFF future plans soon. In terms of QC try selecting Random AI - not all will go low and they should change tactics accordingly. But in WW1 most Dogfights ended up on the deck in 10 mins or so - sometimes more sometimes less. Listen to some of the interviews about the sheer chaos and results of dogfights - many were over as soon as they began: They ended low with no ammo... damaged dead or crashed.... in minutes. It was the nature of the craft they dive better than climb and the rest simply follows form. HTH Cheers WM
  8. We have noted the problem and will fix it. BTW we have no hardline on stopping at patch 1.28a - we are making a hardline at stopping the content for Phase 3. But issues have and will be addressed in patches as we go - in fact we are working on 1.3 patch - BUT IT HAS NO ADDITIONAL SETTINGS OR FEATURES AND NOR WILL IT..... Yep we are still knocking bugs and issues as we go! I will make an announcement soon on what is next for all OFF nutters. Cheers WM

    I wear glasses: 1) Make sure you have enabled light filtering in the Tracking settings preview window and also adjust the light filtering slider - remember trackir is infra red so you can get it to work in pretty high light environs. 2) Make sure no really direct sunlight / bright light comes in from the area behind the monitor. After the above you should be fine HTH WM

    Then you are well prepared now to continue filling in claims not so? And no the number will not be displayed in an upcoming patch as its simply not needed. Basically the problem with the number is everyone is fixated by it - this number never existed in real life - and it does not display now. Moreover you only learn about the number after posting the claim... Finally as long as you put detail into your claim - and now I am not telling you what detail but there are many folks that are up on this - then you will be fine. There will be fewer rejections in 1.28a so maybe stick with it - yes you will need to uninstall and reinstall to go backwards. If making it more realistic like this has ruined the game for you then maybe bypass claims after all, no other sim has this feature, good or bad. And the feature is still there and its optional! HTH WM
  14. With two optional DM packs as separate downloads - Normal and Hard core - so users can swap them in and out as they see fit! These are self installing 'packs' Have fun Guys we will continue to monitor the boards for any showstoppers but as posted elsewhere P3 is now drawing to a close...     1.28a will be uploaded soon and it addresses a few tweaks in the claims confirmations - in addition there will be a few options packs going up: 1) Lower res maps to help players with lower end GPUs. 2) Hardcore DM pack (as mentioned before on SOH) and of course a DM pack that is as i.e 1.28 so that you guys can swap as you see fit. 3) No there will not be a setting in workshops to swap DM - it will be an optional install and yes you can swap between the two (1.28 and Hardcore) via install software. Oh and yep that is the wrap on features for P3 as mentioned elsewhere - we will continue with database and I guess planning for the future! Cheers HTH WM
  18. Thought it time to do an update - we are now drawing to the end of Phase3 work. There will be some minor tweaks to the claims and confirmation procedures released soon (V1.28a) - but remember if you don't like the claims - and I see here that many folks don't - then why not simply switch to easier claims, or no claim form at all, in workshops. With no claim form enabled (bypassed) all kills are counted after one mission and all are confirmed - none are rejected. To do this go to workshops and select in the top of the right hand column - Difficulty - Realism. And yes there will be some historical database tweaks over the next few weeks as well as some cosmetic fixes - stuff that we have left til last. Have fun guys! WM
  19. If CFS3 crashes after a long time (even when paused) or when pressing the M key (for Map) then it's due to either: 1) Sliders too high and exceeding GPU mem. 2) A problem with your PC Ram. OFF uses a lot of RAM and will use a lot more of your available RAM than most PC games. HTH WM
