Does AnKor's mod work on OFF?
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Thank your for starting this thread Widowmaker! And thanks to all the rest for sharing your settings and experience. I had taken a break and had hoped to run WOFF but this rig is not up to it. So I was reinstalling OFF and came across this info. It has me excited I'll say. -
For Olham: A Glimpse at RB3D
Rickitycrate replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I was thrilled with RB3D and all the others back in the day. Definitely fun and good times, a dream come true in some regards. OFF BHAH falls into the same category for me only to a greater extreme. WOFF/OBD seems to be promising more of the same and just may be the high-point of WWI flight combat simming. Time will tell. My money is OBD they have given me much and I have never been disappointed. -
Dear oh Dear... We Need WOFF
Rickitycrate replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hi Widow! Say, who is the they in your "their" own forum on OBD site? One thing I see is that a good many of us have been playing Skyrim/Elder Scrolls games. I wonder if there might be interest in either forming a Guild for TESO or joining up as a bunch of OFFers with an existing quild. I am a MMOPG newb. I think I would rather have guild mates that I already know somewhat and have respect for. As to forming a guild I would not know where to start or how such things work. Any thoughts? Or guild recommendations? Thanks, Rickitycrate -
For Olham: A Glimpse at RB3D

I remember breaking a Wingman Warrior while playing Wings Of Glory. I had 4 people standing behind me.... man did they laugh. Snap! -
Thanks for sharing your updates of goings on. For me, work and property upkeep. You know, all the real life stuff that seems to happen to us all at some point. As for gaming it's been modded Oblivion and Modded Skyrim. Finally playing with mods after so many vanilla go arounds has really added to the pleasure of my gaming experience. Why was I so reluctant?

Played the crap out of unmodded RB3D. I broke 3 joysticks on that one, such fun. -

Hey lads! I've got a ballpark estimate of the release date for WINGS, is that what we call it for short? Anyway, since I am sooooooo...... looking forward to the spring 2014 release of The Elder Scrolls Online I calculate that both games, sorry Olham, will release on the same day creating a mind numbing situation of which one is going to suck up my time and existence the most. These 2 releases are all I look forward to for future gaming as they will be awesomely huge and most excellent. I look for new word of TESO every day and I can't understand the complaints I've seen about being teased with pics and vids of Wings progress. I for one like to be teased with goodness and have my expectations elevated. In the case of both games my faith is in the devs. I am in both cases an unapolligetic fan-boy. There's my 2 cents for ya! Best wishes, Rickitycrate -
CaptSopwith, do you think it is Vista compatable? Sounds like good bit of work you've done.

It will come out on a wonderful day. The sun will be shining and the birds will sing. -
Hey Hellshade thanks for the post I had no knowledge of this game and I am a big Lovecraft fan. The reviews sound promising.

OVS, good for you mate! You are young enough and fit enough to pursue something you seem to have a passion for. Serving the community at large is not something you will ever regret.

Setting Up a Blip Switch in OFF
Rickitycrate replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
OlPaint I am lucky in that I seem to have no conflicts or problems with my X-52 and CH pedals. The computer found the software for the peds and I locked the twist feature on the stick. I was amazed that I did not have to fiddle about. All that is left is to map my buttons. -
Setting Up a Blip Switch in OFF
Rickitycrate replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
This is a wonderful thread guys. I've just set about getting an old pc set up as my simming/gaming computer. I'm all for immersion as the rest of you. I've an X-52 and was wondering how I should map it and the blip and fuel mixture ideas are on for sure. I also am now using rudder pedals for the first time, CH Pro Pedals $10 Goodwill purchase (like new), which I like thus far. Do you all anticipate that our set ups will be the same for WOFF? One difference I can see is using a flight yoke for the Gotha. -

Hi new moderators! Best wishes to you... please be kind -
A lot of good old sims there guys. I played most with fond memories. Still have many of them around somewhere. One I loved for immersion was Dawn Patrol by Empire Interactive http://www.rolandandcaroline.co.uk/html/dawn_patrol.html Nice thread. We are really in for it lads when Wings Over Flander's Fields is on our hard drives. I wonder if we will end up calling it "Wings" WOFF, WOFF!

Hellshade thanks for the updates. My anticipation is Skyhigh. I gratefully have the weekend OFF so I'll be Skyrimming to my delight. Early press review scores are coming in at 9.5 and 9.7 out of 10. There is talk of game of the year but I don't care much about that as I am more inclined to think of it possibly being RPG of the decade. I've been checking on the PC requirements and it's not so bad that I will also get it for PC as well as PS3. I'll have it in my furry paws tomorrow. Marriage, in game, maybe. We'll see. Why buy the cow when you can steal the milk under the fence? I do think that the idea of a marriage partner, can be a male character also I understand, is that you can have a companion for your quests. Todd Howard has stated that Bethesda has tried to debug the game and in the process have found some amusing glitches that they decided to leave in for our amusement. He knows it's a game, we might forget that, hehe. The Elder Planes Phase IV: SKYHIGH

My OFF: BHAH flying time has not been what I would like it to be. My long standing problem has been the fact that I have been using a laptop all along. The trouble as you may suspect has been with overheating. My budget being what it is I have been on the market for an affordable desktop pc strictly formy flight simming setup. I have acquired a desktop pc that specs out very similar to my laptop. While that is not great it is not so bad of a thing as I thought OFF ran rather well but for the overheating. So with the advantage of the improved cooling I have hopes of being back in the OFF skies on a more regular basis. My point of relating this info is to ask for help or opinions about possible RAM and graphics card updates. The info I have for this pc is as follows: HP Pavillion (yeah, I know) a6750t Windows Vista Home Premium x64 Intel Core Duo E7400 @ 2.8GHz 64 bit O/S Currently 3.0 GB Ram with 2 open slots nvidia GeForce 9300 GE graphics card Direct X vers.10 Forceware vers.175.78 dedicated video memory 128 MB Total available graphics memory 1407 MB System video memory 0 MB IRQ-16 BUS PCI Express x16 Current Windows experience score of 4.0 Gaming graphics rating is 4.8 I just don't know how to determine what card would be appropriate and give a nice performanc boost. Would increasing the RAM another 2.0 Gigs be helpful? As you may imagine I am hoping that with some modifications this new box might handle P4 in the near future, he,hehee. I can hear Uncleal right about now, can't you? Well I'm on a tight budget and always hopeful. Any thoughts or suggestions are very welcome. Just today I loaded OFF:BHAH and it ran okay at slider settings of 2's and 3's without tweeking the graphics card settings. I was getting FPS of 59.

Thanks Von Paulus! Looks like I have a number of options.

Bullethead, Hellshade and all I understand your enthusiasm for SKYRIM and I am right there with you. Since I will be playing on a PS3 I am very interested in the bits I've read/heard about the possibility of some of the user created mods being made availible for console downloads. 11/11/11 approaches.

Skyrim.... I've played Morrowind and Oblivion so much. I linger in the worlds and do not try to finish the games. Skyrim will be a place for me to adventure for years to come. It's the only game other than OFF:BHAH that I have pre-ordered. I got a PS3 and a 42" HDTV for the purpose of playing Skyrim. Nice thing is I get no grief from the wife as she is a big fan too and has Oblivion on her own PC. Until 11/11/11 (and after) I will be learning to play guitar with Rocksmith. It's a fantastic bit of programming, educational and entertaining. I can recommend it if you have a desire to play. I'm the hero of Kvatch don't you know, hehe...
