Hi guys. Since some of you have become members at SimHQ to place your vote maybe visit the OFF forum there and contribute some of your opinions and fine writing. It's not CombatAce but it does seem to have OFF flyers that are not active here. You may feel like you are in the heart of RoF territory but we co-exist pretty well. Just a thought.

That N28 was owned and restored by Cole Palen and flew at Old Rhinebeck according to this link. They found some of Mr. Palen's writing on a piece of fabric during this restoration.

Thanks guys. BH that's me covering him. Problem is I just ran out of bullets. Later on I was headed home and my engine cut out, I thought I was out of petrol and was dead sticking for no man's land if I was lucky. I wasn't going to make it so I tried to start the engine and she cranked up and kept running. I landed at the first friendly airfield and came to a stop. I took a few minutes to look around and then I tried my guns. Bingo! Ammo reloaded. So I cranked her up and headed for home. I'm still doing new things and being suprised by our sim. That was the thing in my case Uncleal. I didn't expect to escape because I was flying DiD at the time. It's nice to know it's possible even in DiD to bust out and get back to the action.

There were personal blessings to be sure, ie. the birth of children. In many ways I consider the 90's to be the "false" decade. Sorry to say the falsehoods continue to grow. I always hold out hope for a better tomorrow.

Yep, I thought it to be an Ace for sure but when I did labels it was just a default. Flying the late war and coming up against DrI's, DVII's and AlbDV's is kinda scarey and exilerating. Haven't done much late war myself but I had to start a campaign with the N28. So far she can hang in there against the E/A A/I I've encountered.

After all these months and hours I have reported my first kill claim of a DrI. Actually, it's maybe the second time I have comeup against the Dridekker. So to celebrate a few pics.

Winston, sorry no. I don't recall any other details of that flight. Was not DiD for sure I remember those. I'm imprisoned so I've just been pleasure flying. May have been the N28 early assignment in the 94th.

All I know is that landing now is a new ball game. I was making my approach and could not hold course from the cross-wind. I had to go around and make a different approach, into the wind. I quess that is in disagreement with your observation Winston.

They are a wiley bunch those devs. of ours. What kind of shennanigans will they be up to next year I wonder.

Creaghorn, in those conditions you needed to be silent and concentrate on your driving, the girlfriend needed to jabber all the way to control her nerves. If you guys didn't have a heck of a fight maybe this girl is the one to marry?

Yep, there's a war going on. Man that was a close shave, a near run thing. That horrible feeling of not knowing if your kite will keep it together long enough to make it back across the front. That happened to me not long ago. I was brought down the same way but did not make the front. My best DiD pilot, captured. But then I got the happy message that he escaped 20 days later. I could hardly believe it.

Glad to hear you made it safe OvS. I hope your nerves have recovered. Good times for you and the family to be had now. The trip back should be better.

Windchill, seems we never know what we might see in OFF. That's why I often pause to take a look/see. Good pics. foriegndevil, real world can get in the way sometimes. Work is a better problem than some. I hope you get some more flight time soon. Cheers guys!

Winder, you are one of a kind I think. May you and your family be blessed. I don't want to pry open a can of worms but it does seem you are letting little hints of P4 come to to light. I can't help but think Team OBD has some interesting top secret "Black Project" type stuff in developement. I do enjoy having further developements to look forward to down the road. I'm not asking, just saying....thanks.

Nice pics Lou. That shot from the pit with the Aldiss really shows your high AA settings. Nice clean lines. The Nvidea cards give a lot of options but then I'm always wondering if I have the settings at the best for my rig and this sim. Playing on a laptop my goal is to eventually get a powerful desktop with good cooling for OFF and games.

Good luck with that mission Olham, but don't bust yer balls mate.
