  1. Emoticons are easy friend, Compose your text and the simply select an emote and left click it will show up in the reply field as a word not the emote image. Then when you click post it shows up as the image. And here's to Bullethead
  2. Sieben,Oh yeah, that's nice! 8x, I envy you. Give us some more when you get the chance.
  3. Questions regarding historical AI

    Beer for breakfast, again.
  4. Sieben, no the AA setting in the CFS3 config box never shows where you set it. You're not doing it wrong. You just need to trust it. At 8x you should not have any doubts if it is set or not. If I could run at 8x I would but my FPS suffers. My pics shown above are with AA at 4x. Best wishes in doing screenshots. Play around with the view controls and when you think you have an interesting situation or pic opportunity press pause. Turn off all visual aids and swing that camera around for the best angles to catch the light, interesting angles or action. Use the zoom function and do some cropping with your program, I use paint, also consider resizing your pics to conserve on your upload file size. I generally resize to 80%. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I know it all. It's just that I enjoy taking pics in OFF so much and would like to encourage you. Have fun!
  5. Which AI for DiD?

Any assessments of A/I I do will be in campaign as that matters more to be than QC. I'm starting out with "historical" and it will take some time and a number of missions to firm up an opinion. So far I've been taking hits but not shredded to pieces by the terminator. I see better elevation from the A/I but so far not as aggressive and the furballs last longer. So nothing new that no one else has reported.
  6. Silly pics of yourself

T&FO, hehe, reading T&FO underneath that picture of you at first I thought it meant "Thanks and F**k Off". But you're nicer than that, right?
  7. Thanks Crossbones, you're very kind. Team OBD makes it possible for me to enjoy myself.
  8. Some screenies after HITR patch.
  9. Which AI for DiD?

    Historical sounds right
  10. HitR update 1.46 - fuel

Now I'll let you guys get back to work on that P4 Friedrichshafen G.III. I like your thinking JFM.
  11. Blast!

Seems a lot of US beer is in 12 oz. these days, signifigant shrinkage!
  12. Blast!

The occasional brit beer seems to agree with me as well.
  13. Blast!

I was captured and I'm in the clink planning my bust-out. A friend of mine sent me a rumcake you see. But hey what's the hurry, the brits are giving me food and heat and I'm learning about homebrew from an old german artisan. Meanwhile I get to check out the new planes and HITR features. No DiD, enjoy HITR Stiffy.
  14. Locomotive on airfield

    Good work Morris.
  15. Which fighter AI do you prefer ?

I would vote after I have much more flight time logged with HITR. No opinion at this time.
  16. Back in the air!

Very good Stiffy I hope you get on well with the add-on and new TIR and give the Boche holy hell.
  17. Interesting and unique pic Mike. I like it.
  18. Anyone know this film?

Lafayette Escadrille was the last film directed by Mr. Wellman. His movie Wings won the first academy award for best picture. I have the book "Wings" written by John Monk Saunders including plates from the movie and published in 1927 on my bookshelf. I have the movie on VHS and can recommend it highly. The organ music might get to you after a bit but it's a silent fim and does have some actual WWI aircraft. That dumbassed book I referenced for Lafayette Esc. does not have an entry for "Wings", nice one.
  19. Lou, is that book also known as "Falcon's of France"? I have that one. Very nice ribbon you found Lou.
  20. Found an old book I' had lost

Great book. Helped me a lot when Lou was running his Name the Plane contest. Funny thing is a recommended the very book earlier today to someone in the Pub. FYI, there is a companion tome AIR ACES of the 1914-1918 War itself a very fine book.
  21. Anyone know this film?

Checked my book WAR MOVIES and it said that it was a lack luster production because the studio kept it to a small budget. Directed bt William Wellman himself a veteran of the Foriegn Legion. The flying scenes are kept to a minmum. Typical hollywood of the late fifties.
  22. Anyone know this film?

I'll watch it soon and report to you, maybe. Hey, I do remember that the movie showed French flight training school including penquins. It certainly has it's faults but is better than nothing. Worth having for a couple of bucks but I would not spend 420 or so for it. Under $10, not bad.
  23. Bad weather just kills my FPS

I see much the same regarding FPS/clouds but then some cloudy days the FPS are stable. I think you can effect the weather in WS upper left corner if I recall, I have not messed with it. Being the resident Forrest Gump I can say this, "computers are like a box of choclates...". Best wishes. Jim
  24. H.I.T.R. - Amazing-Phenomenal-Genius

FD, do you see the new planes? I wonder if you actually have it installed at this time. You did not mention what planes were involved.
  25. Brett Farve

OvS, what you say is true but then Favre has that reputation as well. I'll take my Vikes beating the Saints by virtue of Favre and the offensive weapons and the pressure Vikings D applies to most QB's.
