A heart warming tale. Great GF BTW! You're doing something right. Thanks for telling us about your OFF evolution I only wonder if you will struggle to pay for the add-on pack when it is available? -

Stump all you need is a couple sponsorships, Castrol, LFG, AEG, Bosch and Helga's House of Hotcakes. Just kidding of course. Looks like she'ld be fun to fly. Good luck with her. -
Well phase 4 is not out yet. There's still time. I'm beginning to worry if I'll be able to afford this coming add-on. Seems like more content than some "whole" games are released with.

You are right Von Bauer, of course. I look forward to learning it's limits. I know the devs will model that weakness regardless of I might say in jest.

Rickitycrate replied to redalb2253's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hey! Look at this new guy just quietly sneaking in here. That's not right. You need a hearty welcome and a slap on the back. I do hope you got it sorted out and are enjoying yourself. Uncleal is a font of good advice. If you have other questions they may already be addressed on this forum, it's a big place, or at the OFF webpage. Checkout the pics of the new planes we're getting soon. Exciting times around here. Best wishes, Jim -

Ras, entering the names of your squadmates can be a tricky business. I tried to follow instructions and had a devil of a time. I finally figured a few things out on my own and got everything to my liking now. Next time don't fly missions until you are happy with your setup. I had been getting all kinds of terrible messages to reinstall, delete all pilots, can't load maps etc. It was my worst fear as I had trepidation about doing these changes in a perfectly functioning sim as the devs had made. You see I am new to this although it may seem elementary to many. I did not have to reinstall anything and only deleted the pilot I was messing aound with and tried again until I got it sorted. The main thing causing me trouble was, if you have a modified roster and you have a different number of pilots than the original roster you need to also change the third line down after the list of pilots or N/A's to reflect the number of actual pilots. If you have 14 named pilots and 2 N/A's then that third numerical line should be 14. If 16 named pilots then the line should read 16. If 11 then 11. I think the total number of pilots named and N/A combined needs to total 16. I found this to be the case for me. If this is bad information let me know and I will remove this post to not confuse anybody. -

Particular thanks to Dej for helping me get the Pilot file save sorted out. I was making it to complicated. I did not realize I could navigate all the way to the file through Notepad. Anyway I have the date correct and my Jasta mates are in there now. Thanks guys. Olham you big tease. She's a sexy beast and I want mine! I have just a few hours to get a flight in, seeya! -

Following Creaghorn's instructions I get to the Pilot Dossier and change the date but I cannot save or save as. Maybe if I start with yesterdays date and just abort through to todays date? Any advice? What is the proper file type? Well, I advanced myself through yesterday with no time logged so that should work. I am now at today's date. -
click file save as, name the image in the box, then click file type and select jpg.

OT What Job do you do?
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
well I humbly submit my back ground. I worked for 3M Company for nearly 30 years. Started off in the Automotive Graphics silk screen printing business for them as an press operator, became a supervisor and a Protective coatings specialist. Joined a pilot plant operation for the New Products division and worked at making DNA filters for the research labs around the world. Became the Quality Assurance Lead. Took an opportunity to work for the 3M Aerospace Lab. We developed adhesives and primers, I was a major contributor in the developement of a Water-based primer for Boeing Co., we made the QPL and the product went into manufacture and is being used in Europe as far as I know. Started out as an entry level technician and left as a Senior Master Lab Tech back in '04. We put our house on the market eventually with hopes of selling and moving to Hawaii. Things being what they are I'm still here and for a little pocket money I am a contractor of dog care. I take care of others dogs anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks or more. I enjoy the dogs but I really need a job. Thanks for sharing your work background guys. -

Baldric, I think if I were to find myself in a scramble with the DFW I would long delay take-off. I would switch to the observer position, watch and wait for opportune times to take some shots at the E/A. Let the ground fire chew them up and not let them get on you by getting airborn. After the E/A get damaged by groundfire why not take-off and let the Observer finish off the wounded ducks. Just one approach. -

Okay SD, it is not mine, other than I found it. I subscribed to Photobucket so I could host images to share my OFF experience with people over at SimHQ. While I was at Photobucket I did a search and found the animated gif there. I have no idea of it's origins. That's my confession. -

Velvet, here are the rules http://www.hetzer.talktalk.net/rules.html Stiffy your answer is there too. It reads: External Views: Not allowed, except to take screenies while paused. All flying and fighting must take place while in the cockpit with cockpit visible. Padlock: Allowed. Inferior to TiR, which is most certainly allowed and highly recommended. -
