The campaign is so awesome..
Rickitycrate replied to Rossmeister's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Oh yes, my mind was tapped into my warped side just enough to have the music of Erich Zann flash briefly. I am a huge fan of Lovecraft but when in this forum my mind is on another "plane". Nice to know I'm not alone here with my Lovecraft appreciation. Warp, sure go ahead. Do what you want and have fun. I don't think we are a group of "hairy tough nuts" here. Fly DID if and when you want. I've never seen any real judgements made in this forum about anyones settings. I've been flying pilot never dies alot because I'm learning a new stick and been out on photo shoots to make screenshot postings. When you consider all the options the devs have given us there can't be too many guys flying with exactly the same settings. It's your game man, do your thing. -
How do your pilots die?
Rickitycrate replied to Duce Lewis's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I fly like an old lady so I never spin-crash or bust-up my crate mid-air. I don't think I've ever been hit by friendly flak although I can see how it could happen. Seldom if ever crash with wingies. I do crash with enemies from time to time. I like to say "hi" and have them hear me. I got myself a HOTAS and am learning to use it so I've been flying QC for the most part lately and there is much to do to get ready for winter. Snowed here last night in Minnesnowda. -
Obama is not at fault on this. I don't think it makes sense to him. But it does seem IMO that the prize is intirely too political. But it is in the hands of those few who determine the award. It's their choice to do what they want and maybe in the choices they make the award will become largely meaningless. Or perhaps I'm just too narrow minded. Seems so many things are losing their meaning. Things like "here's a prize for what you are going to do" perplex me. I see today the prize commitee was asked for clarification and they stated the decision was made based on what he has aleady done. Okay, their ball, game and rules. Derk, I think the reaction would be the same, probably stronger if it were Bush, just a differenet group of people reacting which would not make things better or change the premature/unwarranted aspect. Conservative Americans are not the only people questioning the decision.

Now I'll be even more superstitious
Rickitycrate replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Olham, you may be more supersticious than before but I think you will keep using the same statedgy. -
No baseball. It's becoming a more international sport each year. Problem must be that the players actually go on to make money in the pro's if they are good enough.

The Noble Prize was a consolation for striking out on the Olympic bid. I heard speculation on tv that he got the Noble to help give him credibility at the negotiation tables. So maybe it has become a political tool. Maybe soon it will be up for bids on ebay or found in a Cracker Jack box. Those Cracker Jack prizes aren't what they used to be.

You say choke I say chock just be careful when at your hardware and you ask for caulk Fun thread. Nice to consider what may be in the future of OFF. Those devs are dreamers too. Bring back the mechanic.

Question to our German Friends
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
You're right on Lou. Spam is from our great state and Hawaii is the Capitol of Spam consumption. In Hawaii they serve a Spam and egg McMuffin at Rat Ronalds. It's in all the grocery stores and you don't have to hunt for it or buy it in shame. I think the Spam produts are going to do very well on the mainland when the big spenders get their way with the VAT tax coming our way soon. -
Guess what my Mrs as brought me?
Rickitycrate replied to Red-Dog's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Seems he's been busy since it came. Maybe he's thanking her. Or maybe he went up, found things to be so real he never came back down. Lost in the clouds, an OFF legend. -
Er ist da! It arrived! "Blue Max" returned home!

BTW, my good little wifey is as I call her "a postal authority". It's good money and now she drives the LLV instead of the beater we bought for her to deliver with. -

To the victor goes the prize. Very good. Like OvS I had my money on you too, haha. Maybe next time I'll catch you. Enjoy the medal in good health. By the way it looks very much like the one I bought ten years ago. -
If they can read English and have a computer they should be able to see very clearly what the reasons are for non-purchase. A survey.....what the...? Makes me think they don't read their own email let alone the many forums that make the problems clear.

I think she just realized that you deserved the TIR5. My wife is supportive of my OFFing too. She knows what joy it brings me. Anyway, good for you. You are now in the cokpit. I found that I like to move my POV forward to enhance the sense of being there. Those offices were small. -

New guy alert! Hi and welcome to our OFF world. You are having a proper start it seems. Good to hear of your enjoyment and happiness. I think if you are like many of us the game/sim will get even better with time and experience. You have much to look forward to. Let Olham know your town and country to be plotted on our OFF Pilots map please. See sticky for clarification. -
Question to our German Friends
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I do believe that New York itself was a Dutch settlement. Stuyversant (sp) traded some baubles with the natives for Manhatten island or some such. So yes there was a strong Dutch influence in the 13 colonies. I somehow suspect the origin is Dutch rather than Brit because it does seem to me that the Englanders used the term Yankee as a derogative. Or perhaps it was coined by the Brits from the Dutch as Olham suggested. -
Question to our German Friends
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I find that this topic is a reflection of the maturity and respect that the forum members possess for the history and diversity among our members. Frankly I think where no offence is intended none should be taken. OFF brings us into the historical period and we engage in the period in various ways. When I am "playing " the part of a Brit flyer I use what my Minnesota mind believes to be Brit terms from the times. I wonder if I offend with my stereotypical language. Then I remember I am among men that know what I am trying to do and so I don't worry about it. I must say that anyone with the nature to offend others in this forum have not stayed here long. Or perhaps they were to easily offended? The German is my enemy because I'm a Yank. In real life a certain German in this forum must know I have a brotherly regard for him. I wish to extend that regard to all OFFer's as we do have a common bond. Being a community that was exiled from another home I am very proud to be a member and associate of such a fine group. -

Good looking Red Dog Squadron. I think Minnesnowda benefits from the Gulf of Siberia. -
