The new patch DM is
Rickitycrate replied to Broadside uda Barn's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
If it can't be turned off Mike maybe you will never see it anyway. Have you seen it so far? Prolly not. Maybe it was being transported to another airfield and was not secured. Just one of those things maybe. -
Nazca Lines in Belgium
Rickitycrate replied to Hasse Wind's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Not quite the Nazca plain but interesting. Might mean something the alien invasion force. Who can say? While flying over blighty I had a chicken eye open for crop circles but none so far. I've not seen a ufo either but they 're out there for sure. Thought I saw a ufo, turned out to be some guys motor. -

Is there a file you made for us or do you expect me to hashout my own version? Hmmmm? Just wondrin' I can if I must may take 4 or 5 days but I might get 'er done. Wait a minute the moron chip cooled off long enough for me to right click and save picture as "CampaignForm". Thanks again Homeboy.

More Immersion/ Eye-Candy ideas
Rickitycrate replied to Luftace's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Would it be too late to have a pilot in each plane we fly? -
Just wanted to welcome you Iscin. May you get your disk very soon and get it loaded and operational asap. Should you have any problems or questions someone= anyone smarter than I in this forum will be very happy to lend a hand and get you airborn. My SpadV11 seems slugish?
Rickitycrate replied to Red-Dog's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Your Nupes were lighter and more agile than the Spad VII. So differenet tactics for flying and attacking. Boom and zoom, hit and run, maintain some altitude. Might not seem like a logical progression in aircraft developement but that's historicly how it went down. Motor technology I think was the determining factor. More horses and speed reduced the nimbleness. At least for some and for awhile. The DVII was so good because it had the horses and yet was fairly nimble. -
My Saitek PZ35 Pro Flight Pedals Arrived!
Rickitycrate replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Lou, since you mention the chair, again, and as how you live in the great state of Minnesota I can say that Target and Wal-Mart stores have variations of the chair. Also remember to bear in mind the Goodwill stores and maybe paying $100 less for the same thing. Some of the chairs available now are wireless. Unless you are 12 years old you want a chair that has a pedestal and armrests are nice. Perhaps a handy fella could easily figure a mount or base to raise up one of the models that sits on the floor. One last point when shopping for a game chair.. frankly some of them are uncomfortable and lack proper back lower lumbar support. So ya might want to sit on it before spending the big ones. -
Oh sure he always flew on the level didn't he. Why would he get that tri-wing twitching about and upset his breakfast?

More Immersion/ Eye-Candy ideas
Rickitycrate replied to Luftace's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Olham, so you resented the C/O in that old game? Sounds like a good immersion factor to me. Seems many C/o's were unpopular with the men. Well at least according to hollywood. -
Dang! Look at that detail.

I wrote this for another thread but then I did not want to go so far O/T. It covers something I've mentioned before so please forgive. Here I go again. Sound of the wind and other sounds are amplified by feeling them in a rumble chair like I use. You don't have to even run it loud. I hear what you guys hear but I feel what you guys don't. A force feedback stick is immersive if not really representative of real life it does increase your sensory inputs. A FFB stick may affect my accuracy but I'ld rather have the sensation it provides than not. So a rumble seat, game chair, Butt Kicker what ever you might call it increases the sensory inputs immensely and more true to life than a FFB stick. So, you hear Archie barking all around your rickety assed crate and your engine maybe takes a piece of shrapnel and starts to run rough, you know how that feels-anxiety, oh bloody 'ell, imagine that you feel the effects of this. The percussion of the closest Archie bumping your wire, stick and canvas bird about. Your steady humming and smoothe vibrating engine suddenly lurching, coughing and spitting with you praying the vibration doesn't totally stop because when it does, she's dead. And you? Well I wish I could have all of you over to my domicile one at a time to see for yourself. It may not be for all. But in my ever so humble opinion you just don't have a virtual WWI cockpit without this. Complements OFF BH&H very nicely I say. My best to you and thanks for reading, Jim p.s: please don't start showing up unannounced
