What nationality are you?
Rickitycrate replied to Herr Prop-Wasche's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes, much of Fargo was filmed in Minnesota. Some scenes were shot in one of my favorite restraunts. -
Im Having a little bit of trouble deciding what to do career wise, HELP!

I say follow your heart. It's on you as a man to make your choices and not to later hold it against your folks that you did not do what you wanted to do. If it all turns out to not be for the best well it's on you, for better or worse. Don't live a life of regretting what you you could have done and wanted to do but didn't. You may come to resent your good folks for holding you back. Once you are married and have kids these things only gets harder. I pray the Lord bless you in your decision. Best wishes. -

My mother's people go back to Kent England. Mary Chilton wa a young lady aboard the Mayflower and my mother's side is desended from her. Maternal family names include Chilton, Newton, Chrysler and Farrar, others too perhaps. Me father always claimed the Handy family came from Scotland. I find no proof of this and instead find Handy's are from England as well. Funny since dad put down ma for her being a brit. Dear ol' dad was german on his mothers side I'm not sure of the name. He claimed we were related to Der Kaiser. Another funny point too as Der Kaiser was a member of the British Royal Family. -

I get the impression that in the United States that Minnesota has the greatest number of OFFers. -
Very strange doings there BigJim. Makes me wonder if you are patched up to the latest version 1.30c I think it is and then the new mini patch.

It is installed to the default C drive. I am running Vista 32. No problem installing FB. I did a reinstall of FB but still no joy for AEP. -

More fun stuff. It's new to me. I will be spending lots of time at Youtube watching these nuts. I do now "get" so many of the jokes and sayings that have been used in this forum. -

This sounds really interesting to me. There you go again with interesting and useful things for our simming, thanks Homeboy. I will investigate.

Frankly I get frickin' pissed off more times than I care to tell. When reading posts and reviews in other forums and webpages. There are so many misinformed statements and comments or outright lies about OFF being a lesser product or experience. I even read it was "arcade". Can you imagine that of all things? There are few enough of us that care for this genre. I wish everyone could at least give it a try. It is sad really to read of other peoples comments in other forums regarding their search for that special WWI sim, they are describing OFF BH&H, they just don't know it.

I find the funniest stuff is based on real life. This piece was spot on. Almost too funny if you catch my meaning. -
I have a few Enemy Ace comics and a very nice hardcover of Aces High vol. 1-5. All good and fun stuff. I'ld like to find more.

It does seem we are the privledged few.

I do think we as a group have recently come to a better regard for taboo subjects. I for one am generally proud of our behaviour in this forum. We are human though and need a little forgiveness from time to time. I have visited some other forums and have seen how truely negative things can turn. It is hard for any forum to meet the needs of all members and sometimes it helps to discriminate (ignore) posts by those whom you generally have an issue with. All flyers in OFF and any WWI enthusiats are valued here I find and I do hope that anyone that feels alienated will at least from time to time chime in, say hello or whatnot or whathaveyou. You're all Aces in my book, and I do have a book.

He's just too excited as am I! Later. -
Well by now most of you know the routine with me. I got a peice of gear for next to nothing at a second hand store, again. CH Yoke. Any of you guys using one for OFF I wonder? I tried it and it works, no FFB though so that's a bad thing for OFF. I think it would be great for heavy WW2 bombers. If any of you could recommend a sim that would make good use of this I'ld appreciate your suggestion. I have not worked at getting my cheapo Thrustmaster peddles to work yet but maybe that will work too. Peddles were $5, Yoke was $3, just saying.... times being what they are.

Nevada, Area 51, Groom Lake could be interesting. Remember Boston has the USS Constitution. -
That's a good thought CJ, thanks.

Hi Broadside, say you got yourself a good deal there, not bad at all. I don't know about giving lessons but for some guys 2nd hand can be a good financial alternative. There is some amount of trading and gifting in our forum as well and that is terrific. By the way my setup for flying is at $10 because I paid $1.99 for my Logitech FFB stick. Markl, Thanks for the maintenance pointers. I can see what you are saying. The Yoke is nice but it will not see the amount of use that my stick does. Seems MSFS X is in my future. I want to fly into Honolulu and Kahalui Hawaii. I'm hoping to fly in park the plane and stay there.
