There is so much to do Between Heaven and Hell. Many, maybe most of us fly scouts and look for those furballs that are so exciting. I love that myself but I do like to take some time to just muck about the OFF world and see what kind of trouble I can get into or whatnot. I tought to take my pilot Richard Teacrate up in a 1 1/2 Strutter in QC. Took off and the huns in their Alb DII's came swarming in as expected. We circled around and traded shots at one another. I brought down one DII but in the process I had emptied my ammo belt. I switched to observer position and the pilot flew away from the action to the next waypoint. I decided to stay put and enjoy the view. Soon my squad mates had formed up behind me and close behind them 4 DII's. I had a great time taking in the situation. It was a nice feeling to have those squadmates with those rear firing guns. Eventually a DII came close enough to open fire with the rearmost Strutter. It was interesting to see the action so close but at a safe distance. The DII's would breakoff or dive to gain speed and come at us from below. Not much success with that. After awhile I decided to go ahead and mix it up with the hun. I took control of the stick and brought her down clost to the deck. I determined to fly in such a manner as to position my observer to get some good clean shots into the enemy. In short order my good observer brought the hun to crash in a small wood. I post this only to give you some consideration to fly perhaps a different style or role in our OFF world. I seem to always see or find something new. New for me this time included the maps in the Strutter to be found with F7. Maybe they are there in all craft all the time? I had not seen the map quite like this before but I still have much to learn. Here's the pics: -
I think it's important and I know that OBD will be filling some of those holes as they are able to. Something more to look forward to.

Do we have an Artificial Horizon in OFF?

That's right Uncleal. Shows you what we know. Just a little bit more than squat. Hehe. -

Well I'll just have to take my chances and sample some. If you don't hear from me don't tell the c/o what I'm up too. I'll then report back and let you know my fate or the fate of the Cutty Sark. -

Thanks Lou, think I'll give it a go on the rocks. Would the same be true for 30 year Gin? I really don't know. -

Okay, since we seem to have some experts, may I ask if 30 year old Cutty Sark is drinkable or should I send it down the drain? If drinkable what would be the proper means? -

Reminds me of a QC a had yesterday. Shot up some Alb DII's, ran out of ammo and put her down in a field. After I rolled to a stop a saw a DII come crashing down right in front of me! Boom! Caught me off guard and was awesome to witness so close. One of those "wish I was running fraps" moments. OFF and role/playing. I think many of us approach our DiD flying as a roleplay. IMHO further developement in roleplay aspects would be interesting but for now our minds kind of fill in some of the blanks and that's not a bad thing either. -
Update Status - a wee roadmap
Rickitycrate replied to Winder's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Winder. At first I had wondered, P4, what can you do to change or improve BH&H? Well, with the news of the cloud fix I have a new respect for OBD's skills and devotion to the cause. Seems you are never completely satisfied. It is so nice to have a future to anticipate. I am glad I hitched my wagon to the OFF war horse. Many thanks and best wishes, Jim -
Does my bum look big in this?

Steve, I understand where you are coming from and do much the same from the early years forward, but I do lead. I have only flown the "older" crates in QC so far. And to answer your query: No honey, you don't look fat. You always look good. The others are jealous, that's all. -
That's a beautiful crate. What is the armament and number of rounds she carries?

Well, you and your Albitri look like trouble. -
I have no idea but somehow I feel quilty. Ha!! I remember now, some of us opined that Pol sounded like Ringo. My big mouth said he waass Ringo. I took it too far, Pol, you know I meant no harm. I can't take it back tho. Sounds like Ringo. Just in the spirit of keeping it light.

Tick off the "always leads" box in workshop maybe. Now they are trying to keep up to you instead. -
The registration number you will need to have will come with the plane add-on pack. I got something right once. I'm so proud of myself. It's a great day! hehe

Oahu very nice indeed. Flat for snorkling... very good, I love to snorkel. For those that don't know the Hawaii t.v. news weather segment is usually 2 minutes long and covers the surf not actually the weather. After all it's 82-84 F almost everyday brah. -

Hey Broadside, Hawaii my man I envy you. Mahalo! Maybe living there is old hat for you or whatever but I love it there and miss Maui terribly. Maui No Ka Oi! I realize there are other OFF peeps from Hawaii but it made my day to think of you joining the OFF family in paradise. Welcome aboard and have some fresh Ono for me.
