Rickitycrate replied to MK2's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hey, thanks Rabu. I printed up a dozen for now and will carry them in my truck. There is an airport nearby, hobbyshops and various bulletin boards. They are laid out well for legal sized paper. I'm going to post some in my house, I like 'em. Thanks for your efforts. I'll do what little I can. I think we can hit this campaign from all angles and it's a matter of doing it. I go forth in good faith and hope for the best. Again, thanks for your work. -
Der Bordeaux Rote Freiherr ist glucklich noch einmal. Sorry for the poor use of langauge. But you know what I mean. Sehr gut!

Okay you critics, let's see what you can do. Me, I have no talent. As a matter of fact Hauksbee I was thinking much the same thing regarding the t-shirt thing. Why not use screen grabs. Maybe a friendly contest on the forum? -
Yeah, these are spot on! Thanks so much. I really like the idea of helping folks to learn of our sim.

Wildfowler, I'm glad you figured it out. Good decision on your part. You will enjoy. Say, if you find a good deal on moron chips let me know. I've been in dire need of an upgrade for the longest time myself. Best wishes.

Rickitycrate replied to Winder's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Winder, thank you, thank you. We are the addicts and you are our dealer. I think your decision will lead to more sales of the sim. It seems it may be a slow burner but it must be growing with all the new recruits that we have reporting for duty here. Yes, let's all keep the faith and soldier on. Oh I'm a happy boy! -
*HELP* fellow Skinners!

I thought I saw this today while flying a Roland CII in campaign. OFF stock plane, no alterations. A graduated illuminating of the planes side as the sun hit it. -
OT Your top 3 aircraft of all time?
Rickitycrate replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
1) Spad XIII My older brother made a model of the Revell 1/28 kit when we were kids and I really thought it was something special. 2) P40 Flying Tigers caught my imagination when I was I kid. 3) Corsair My father was a difficult man to like, he felt the same about me, but he loved BaaBaa Blacksheep. This was something I could relate to. So rather than have any meaningful talks we would rewatch his tapes of the show. That was a good time. -
P3 Current Status and the future of OFF
Rickitycrate replied to Winder's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
CJ, before I had trackir I did pretty well and I flew DiD. A generous soul donated a trackir to my cause and I am just now flying DiD campaign with it. I just related the experience in another thread. I knew I had view limitations without TrackIR but using TIR is the best proof of how handicapped you are without it. My situational awareness has now opened up more informed tactical choices I can make. -
May 1916 my flight of 3 Roland CII's are patrolling the front noting troop advancements, yeah right. Those boys are not leaving those trenches anytime soon. I'm flying with the latest patch and one of my first missions using TrackIR. The view is splendid as it's a sunny day and I am relieved to not have to fly deep into enemy territory. I find that my Walfisch's windows are now somewhat practical with TrackIR. I have the TAC running and see white specks at my 12 o'clock, high. I continued on watching to see what color they became....... red, and 6 of them as best I can tell. I decided to keep us close to our line and to descend. The E/A stayed aloft but pretty much overhead. For the first time I was able to really keep an eye on the E/A and fly defensively. The situation was not one for fighting with too many disadvantages. But my how I loved the ability to see the situation and make moves accordingly rather than be blindsided and then trying to sort things out. I was able to reach the waypoint and then headed for home. AA whizzing by but not picking us apart. I see below a bridge being shelled and then notice the smoke from a train engine. I flew low to grab a pic. The last few railcars ended up in the drink but the most part of the train carried on. So no dogfight or air combat but plenty to do and enjoy. I can't imagine I'll ever tire of this. The sim gets better and better and TrackIR puts your head in the game. That's the story behind this pic. No big deal. Just me being a happy OFFer. Olham as you know I usually fly DiD. I think now I could perhaps not use TAC so much but with TrackIR spot and follow the planes and then use zoom in and out as binoculars to better identify the planes. I'm glad you are giving DiD a try. It is different and satisfying for me. Do you find it more suspenseful like I do?

Good grief Olham don't retire. You haven't won the war yet. Duty calls. -
Cheers ! to you.

I find the new patch a welcome relief in the area of A/A accuracy. Low over the front I saw a lot of tracers buzz by and then my Roland CII took some hits, did a little damage but I was able to carry on. The tracers looked brilliant. It's interesting to pause the sim when being fired upon, switch to outside view and then rotate your view and see the tracers and trails that are all around you. The train in the pic just made it across the bridge, well but for the last few cars, and then the bridge blew up. It was shelled.

New Home Page Looks Professional and High Quality
Rickitycrate replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I thought I liked the old design but the new one reeks of WWWI atmosphere. The new pics and graphics of squad insignia and manufactures logos make it more authentic feeling. Very nice and quality work. Pol's work I believe. Good show.
