  1. Belgium

IIRC, that's the Phase 1 Hanriot I don't think OBD owns the rights so they'll have to create their own It was a poplar crate
  2. Back in the Saddle

Thanks Olham! I've met with the same result She'll stall pretty easy if you bank her too steep I'll have to try the high speed bank Anyone torn up their top wing yet?
  3. Grounded until further Notice

Merry Christmas Widow! I hope you have a joyous time with your family And hopfully there's a Snipe in the not too distant future too Peace,
  4. Back in the Saddle

Good advice there Bullet I shoulda taken her up in Freeflight 1st, but I just barreled into campaign right off I'll have to learn her finer points the hard way I guess ...but 2nd Lt Rupert Jenks is still kickin Yeegads!!! it's a Scramle! I'm raising a St Pauli Girl in your honor as we speak Rick This rounds on me gents Thanks for the welcome back M8's ...now tell me 'bout that Dr1
  5. Back in the Saddle

Yes, I agree She seems a little weak in the ailerons but that big rudder has a lotta kick I had a DVa pass underneath and she snap turned and dove real quick Visibility will take a little getting used to Maybe take a look at TIR and make a few adjustments there
  6. Hmm, interesting to see someone with the same issue I ran a Poll a while back and I was the only respondant that voted Friendly Ack Ack as a leading cost of death I tried setting AA to Easy too, and still got blown outta the sky Reset both cfs3 and OFF and this pilot got knocked down twice ...surviving the wreck at 3 hours What AA is knocking yiou down, friendly, enemy, or both? Think I either have a weird install issue or AA is just a feature with large variation from PC to PC AA was murderous for me in P2 also Thanks for responding appraiserfl
  7. My best pilot was Leutnant Horst Blucher He lasted 13.8 hours, closest I've gotten to 17 in a long while He had about 38 confirmed and 5 medals ..but met his end in the usual way - hit by friendly Ack-Ack down low chasing a Spad Quite frustrating, I haven't flown for 2 weeks or so Haven't downloaded HitR yet but I'll get back in the cockpit sooner or later
  8. Vote for your favourite sim

I added my votes today Too bad we can't see the results til the poll is completed though
  9. Its out?

When I 1st saw the DH5, I thought "That's a Bullethead machine" Thinking of taking her up? Don't worry, I'll have your back up high in my sweet li'l Nieup 28
  10. Snow on the Bayou AGAIN

I went to school in Western Michigan in the early eighties I didn't find the temperature or snow accumulation much different from Connecticut What shocked me was the wind I remember be lifted to my tiptoes by a gust from the back once And having to lean so far forward to walk into it My winter jacket was quite worthless too I had to buy one that sealed tightly round the neck But nothing was worse than skiing on Mt Snow (Vermont) 30 feet up on a chair lift, -35oF wind chill, and the lift broke down every 100 feet it seemed
  11. OT: Inbound !

  13. Snow on the Bayou AGAIN

Ah yes, 1994 ...my shoulders hurt just thinking about it At the time, the house I lived in had two 2 car wide driveways Shovel a foot of snow 1 day then wake up the next morning and there's another foot lying there ...ouch! Next year I bought a snowblower btw. Nice house Bullet!
  14. Don't open this unless you can stand looking at those funny single winged aeroplanes And Britsters, just pass on by the Spit I found it downright painful ...but everything else is cool http://home.comcast..../Edwards09.html
  15. warping

All objects accept aircraft appear at 8 miles on the TAC Aircraft generally appear at 4 miles as Bogies (White) ...then turn red when within 2 miles Warp is disabled if any (enemy) Bogies are present Keep in mind, TAC only shows horizontal diatance The actual 2 & 4 mile distances are spherical around your position
  16. OT: WIP..Dr1drawing

  18. Are you sure? Looks like he's saying "Who is this man???"
  19. Aiming circle

More like the whole flippin family! After getting hit repeatedly by frienly AcK-Ack, I decided it was just butchery ...hence the name Blucher Johann, Franz, Gerhard, they all got blasted outta the sky Say wouldn't this make a great face to model Olham's moving AI heads on?
  20. Aiming circle

Hmmm Dicta Duce ...maybe I'll name my next pilot Oswald ...Oswald Blucher But not too soon I hope Shhhhh! I'm quietly sneaking up on my 2nd best pilot in BH&H so far Reseting both OFF & cfs3 has really helped This bloke has only been hit by friendly Ack-Ack only once ...and he survived
  21. I've been sitting on the fence waiting for a good sale on Band of Brothers The $79.99 price was a little too steep Histrory shop dropped an email today with a store wide 20% off sale ...then take an additional 20% off Just picked up BoB for $51.18 - Cool Beans! I was waiting for $60 If anyone's interested, here's the link: http://shop.history.com/detail.php?p=72114&v=All#tabs Price shown is 20% off, you have to ask for the additional 20% Sale onlys lasts Nov 23-25 If they ask for a code, it's "HistoryFF20" By coincidence, I just picked up the other BoB yesterday at Best Buy ...Battle of Britain $15 for the collectors edition
  22. Aiming circle

I think we've all been there at 1 point or another Here's a few tips: 1. Always clear your tail before attacking (TAC and/or visually) 2. Stay high in the fight 3. If your opponent dives, let him go (esp. in a tight dogfight) 4. Gain tactical advantage before attacking (height & numbers) 5. If you get damaged, turn & go home 6. Protect your wingmen (the more of them around, the less pressure on you) 7. You can be more aggressive on your side of the lines, but when crossing into enemy territory, be more conservative Best method is to attack the highest opponent, drive him down ...then hit the next highest guy, etc. The victories will come, best not to worriy about them til the OFF Manager rejects your claim HTH,
  23. Is there a way to connect 2 PC's directly together and fly joint missions? If so, can anyone detail the nuts & bolts of getting a mission running? Interface/Keystrokes, etc. I met a co-worker who flys cfs3 I thinking I'll load P2 on my laptop & plug into his PC
