Now I'll be even more superstitious
Duce Lewis replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
A salute to the Rittmeister He'll no doubt harass his captors so much they'll wish they could give him back All my medals seem to dissappear once a pilot is killed or captured too -
OT Just occasionally....

Question to our German Friends
Duce Lewis replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I found this on YourDictionary.com Yan·kee (yaŋ′kē) noun ☆ a person born or living in New England ☆ a person born or living in a Northern State; Northerner a Union soldier in the Civil War [*]☆ a person born or living in the U.S. Etymology: < ? Du Jan Kees (taken as pl.) < Jan, John + Kees, dial. form of kaas, cheese; orig. (Jan Kaas) used as disparaging nickname for a Hollander, later for Dutch freebooter; applied by colonial Dutch in New York to English settlers in Connecticut Originally the Dutch had a small colony in New York I believe they called it New Amsterdam When the Brits took over they renamed it And as a Connecticut native in New England, I guess I'm 100% Yankee Never took it as Derogatory, in fact "Connecticut Yankee" is used here ...albeit a bit dated The South may have spoken it in anger, as the North said "Johnny Reb" But if someone's trying to kill you, it's not hard to understand name calling As far s the use of the term "Hun" Atilla the Hun was a fierce warrior who humbled the mighty Roman Empire If I was born a 1000 years from now & someone called us Yanks "Pattons" I don't think I'd mind My $.02 -
Glad you're enjoying the sim jaa Best advice is to stay high in the fight Tunnel Vision is a killer If you opponent dives ...let him go Turn and go after the next highest target IF hostiles are above you, don't engage immediately Stay in visual range and climb till the advantage is yours This strategy has many advantages 1. You damage many aircraft and reduce their effectiveness (as Hellshade said) 2. Driving the hostiles down to the deck helps your wingies out too The longer they stay aloft, the less pressure there is on you 3. Height advantage leads to success most often HTH,

After struggling with my MS Sidewinder Joystick, I've finally found a solution I have my JS set on a glass top end table next to my desk Sidewinder FFB is strong and it tended to slide around a bit Finally made a trip to our local hardware store looking for some rubber material Ended up in the Flooring Dept and found a soft spongy doormat It's about 1/2" in. thick and is quite soft and tacky I knew I was on the right track when I had trouble sliding it off the rack Placed it on the table then the JS ...presto instant suction cup I even tried to reposition the mat a little and it wouldn't budge, JS hasn't moved either So if you're having trouble with a slippery JS, the solution may be as close as your front door HTH,

Yeah, I'd thought about using some sort of tape But the end table is glass inlayed on finished wood I may want to use it for it's intended purpose someday so I opted for the mat It's acually an indoor mat for in front of the stove or something Probably so spongy because it's anti-fatigue Whatever works!

It's a love/hate relationship It's infuriating when the ravenous hounds cut you off ...or worse But when those 2nd & 3rd flights of HA show up, they're delighted to have em around

I usuually fly Summer/Fall 1918 and get a steady diet of Se5s, Camels, & Spads Installed 1.32g mini patch and the created a new Jasta 11 pilot Surprise, surprise! I ran into 2 flights of Nieuport 17's Not sure if N.17's were around on June 1st 1918? Met Nieups again on my 3rd mission Anyone know if this is correct?

I saw different versions of Photoshop Can you tell me what versions are up to the task? -
Occasionally you'll see an Ace's victory tally While each's Ace's final toatal is probably well known ...getting each date is likely very time consuming as Rickety said

Sounds interesting but my experience is limited to MS Photo Editor and Paint Is Photoshop very intuitive to learn? With the individual skins coming, this would be a nice capability -
Wow this game is brilliant - a few quick questions
Duce Lewis replied to jaa's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Welcome aboard jaa, glad you're enjoyin OFF There is a 2 stage process to firing ordinance 1. You have to select the next weapon (bombs, rockets) 2. Fire the weapon I can't remember the actual commands as I've remapped everything Goto Esc\Controls\Weapons Commands and you'll find them The Select Next Weapon is easy to forget Many a time when I flew Brit, I remember diving on the target, hitting the fire button and nothing happens I always selected the ordinance right at take-off afterward HTH,
