Yep, controls at the bottom back you up on that There's a hard left rudder at that point Thx, Edit: I agree Lou, as we were simo-posting
  2. American Campaign...

That's pretty much my thoughts too Ironically the USAS ordered 600 more N. 28; at wars end Most probably the birds in Dawn Patrol and Hell's Angels I find the wing issues a little vexing No one ever died in a N.28 wing failure Earlier Nieups and Abatri had much more serious wing failures with lower wings breaking completely off Yet of the 3, only the N.28 was spurned
  3. It's Time To Play,"What's My Plane" !

Not sure if it's me and my bad eyesight ...but is the topmost AC illistraion drawn backwards?
  4. A Question about `puters

Now there's a good idea! A fact based decision
  5. Losing a wingman

Squadron losses are purely random Ther is no relation to your combat results Aces die on their historical dates of demise Look at it this way: If you shoot down n Ace, he survived the crash If your M8 dies, he folded her up on the runway
  6. A Question about `puters

OK, We all do what we need to do to get OFF working I just didn't want Roger to think his PC would overheat when he doesn't even have his DVD yet Rog, 99% chance you'll be A-OK temp wise
  7. Haven't Received OFF yet!

  8. Archie

I 2nd that sentiment IMO that fact that the OFF Manager knows where you crashed/landed is the biggest chnge in BH&H Cross it and you HAVE to make it back, no matter what happens over there
  9. trackIR question

It's been a very long while since I purchased TIR but I don't think you have to do anything There is nothing in Workshops for TIR Just select the default cfs3 profile in the TIR software and use that You'll no doubt want to modify it to your tastes, just save it as a different name HTH, EDIT: And btw, welcome to OFF!
  10. A Question about `puters

I ran OFF P1 on a 1.7 GHz Machine with 512MB RAM BH&H is more complex so I'm sure it require more than my old clunker But I say give it a go on the rig you've got You've already ordered everything so I wouldn't bother upgrading the rig til you know where you're at btw. uncleal is the 1st I've heard of anyone needing an open case and an external fan HTH,
  11. Not sure if this has been posted before There's a lot of WWI info here I recommend the Aces section near the bottom http://www.century-of-flight.net/Aviation%20history/airplane%20at%20war/splash.htm It's open to the WWI page but if you go to the root there's info on WWII, etc.

#16 is a DFW CV From Wikipedia The C.IV had a single-bay wing cellule and was powered by a 112 kW (150 hp) Benz Bz.III. It was soon replaced in production by the definitive C.V with a two-bay wing cellule and either a 112 kW (150 hp) Conrad C.III or 149 kW (200 hp) Benz Bz.IV. Predictably, the more powerful Benz engine gave significantly better performance. The C.V's main designer was Heinrich Oelerich, and it was produced in larger numbers than any other German aircraft during World War I. About 2000 were manufactured in DFW and about 1250 licence maufactured by the Aviatik (DFW C.V (Av), designated also as Aviatik C.VI), Halberstadt, LVG, and Schütte-Lanz. The D.V and its related designs were used as a multirole combat aircraft, for reconnaissance, observation, bombing by Germany and Austro-Hungary during World War I. They were also used by the Ottoman Empire in Palestine. In the hands of a skilled pilot it could outmaneuver most allied fighters of the period. It remained in service until early 1918 though 600 were still in use by the Armistice of 11 November 1918. Most were thereafter scrapped according to Versailles Treaty in 1919.
