  1. Ok, thanks Louvert. Good info
  2. Interesting stuff. Was palms or stars given for each kills every time? Or useally? Or did they give palms for each kills in early years of war and later not so many?
  3. Not sure. It might be that those allied wound stripes was given to enlisted soldiers. I havent seen any document that flying men got those. German wound badges (Verwundetenabzeichen) was established 1918.
  4. Interesting info. Thanks Dej for that. I cant talk much yet about the medals system code but we will let you know once we are that point. But yes please freely send ideas. As if they are based to historical fact and might be possible to code we could and will consider all these good ideas.
  5. OT Darkest of Days

Yeah i thought same thing. Why there always have to be some futuristic guns. Who wants to shoot from machinegun some poor roman soldiers with spears. But i saw also quite potential to make ww1 mod of that game! The graphics and physics looks great! And the ww1 scenery was quite great looking!
  6. Hi, I have read few biography books of ww1 aces, The Red Baron- Beyond the Legend by Peter Kilduff ISBN-10: 0304352071, and now Black Fokker Leader Carl Degelow - The First World War's Last Airfighter Knight by Peter Kilduff ISBN: 9781906502287. So im now quite addicted to read more books about life of the famous aces in ww1. So please add here books you would recommend. Please remember add also ISBN if you have it.
  7. New Noop anyone?

Beautiful job! You have done the silver paint look very realistic! Well done!
  8. ..for Olham

When i first time saw this, i was tottally stunned. Looking those aces in moving picture who you had read about many years. I have recognized many famous pilot from that scheme. There is also explained something about the scenes, but not sure are the all names correct. So How about people, send some names here and time of the scene.
  9. My advice is to make the markings much desaturated and using fuselages texture and overlay the color to it. People useally who start doing skins use too bright color for start, like i did, but in the game when you flying in the clouds and see the a/c colors and compaired to terrain colors. Mostly you need desaturate colors more than you first think. And yes use baseskins but use texture even its example bright white band in fuselage. The black and white colors are hardest. I useally needed 6-10 layers in white or black fuselages. Also take time to learn effects the photoshop offer. Always use new layer for each details example dirt. And yes make the skin look dirty! Anyway i think you will get more authentic look immediately when start do very desaturated colors and then raise the saturate leven a bit and go to test it ingame. Cheers Arto
  10. New USA Spad X.III's

Very impressive work once again. Cheers!
  11. Very nice! These are looking really great! Only one little correction about historical details. MvR was flying albatros d.II against Hawker in famous dogfight. Also his markings was probably only white band in nose. No red scheme yet at that time. Never mind... it look very nice!
  12. Just to say thanks.

I happy to hear you like the game. welcome to forum! best Arto
  13. The Hard Stuff

I like "Black Bush" whiskey, Isley whiskeys, Bombay Sapphire gin, Fisherman friend licorice liqueur, Napoleon Mandarine liqueur, Finlandia Vodka... actually all goes :)
  14. Thanks Olham, I did the screen for you and other alb fans, like im too. Well actually the pilot was taken from old b&w photo and he was front of his tros so i usead parts from different places. That alby is from the game screenshot :).
  15. Also in jasta 5 was all painted fuselage of that bavarian scheme. The pilots name was Wolf if i remember right. I dont have profile picture here now, but i try to find it. There was others too using same scheme...
  16. Sorry late reply, but i think you have done very well the checker pattern. The hardest part is albs fuselage, becourse it twist the skin many places in fuselage. Good job Olham!
  17. Wine thread

I think it might be called also liquer store. In Finland all over 4,5% alcohol products have to sell by Finland covernment owned liquer "alcohol" stores. So supermarkets can sell only basicly beer and ciders. Cheers Arto
  18. Wine thread

I work in alcohol shop so i know wines pretty well as i see them every day :). Still im not gourmet or pro with wines. What taste best is best, was it cheap or pricy not matters... And i forgot those wines from Alsace are all my favorite.
  19. Wine thread

New Zealand sauvignon blanc's, German rieslings, Italien ripasso vines, South African Pinotage´s, South American pinot noir's.
  20. German ace experts

I cant remember for sure all models, but im pretty sure i did DV skin for Poralla. It might be dv or dva if you sayd the fuselage was natural wood or yellowish.
  21. AWESOME Superpatch!

Well you can plain me and Pol for putting "german" art cover to main menu :). Cheers Arto
