You thought that one was good... I LOVED his invention using a 747 and attaching ram jets so he could fly in space.... a 747... yeah right... meanwhile me only being an A&P mechanic wouldn't know anything about the capabilities (or lack thereof) of the 747 regarding structure... etc. Ahhh... the joys of being insane. Like the drunk sitting at the bar, he knows everything, or has an answer to it all.... even though he never leaves the bar except to go to the bathroom. OvS

Trust us... you haven't... you only missed out on the cave carvings... ;) We're well beyond anything we could have produced with RB3D's technology...even with all the cool stuff they are still making today. It just doesn't compare to what OFF offers. Yes, I know... Pat's WFP was the ultimate with all the great planes, and the longevity covering the entire war, but the only thing that slows us from doing that with OFF is time. OvS Yeah.... and don't ever forget... YOU'RE ONE OF THEM.. :) I couldn't have done it without you!

Dude... not sure you read the title page.. the header.. the topics... heck.... the whole forum but this is a WWI based forum.. dealing specifically with aircraft... not anything close to cars aside from the old Model T we used to have in our game. BUT... if you want, you can try our modelers and skinners section. I don't know if that will help. OvS

Nothing looks worse than new paint on an old plane. 5. HAVE FUN!!! Good luck... oh... and... 6. if you need help from "an inside guy"... my paypal account # is... LOL! -

Combat Ace skin Contest for OFF: Win a 23" Dell Monitor for best skin!

None of you stand a chance... I AM ENTERING, AND I WILL CLAIM THE PRIZE!!! Mu-hahahahahahahahahaa!!!!! April fools!! OvS -
No. I think we all assumed that, but OFF's specific clouds won't hurt being on 5. I keep them on 1 anyway... they look fine. I'm lazy, so I keep forgetting to boost them up. But from what I remember, I did not see much difference between 1 and 5. Try it. OvS

Recent topic deletions... sorry to have to do it.
OvS posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
OFF Members and Community. Unfortunately, I've had to delete 2 topics over the past 24hrs, that were meant in good nature (well one was) but should have been thought through before posting. One was offering purcahse of an obviously pirated or copied version of the movie "The Red Baron", the other was an open invite/solicitaion to Beta test the new RoF version. The first was obvious... it's illegal, and OBD Software has an "obligation" to you, our customer, to provide a clean and well presented forum to enjoy. While it's not in our right to protect you from buying anything, it's certainly in our right to remove anything promoting an illegal act such as this. As far as the RoF Beta testing... I know it was offered with all of the best intentions, but you are all paying or possibly paying customers for our software. It is in our right not to allow solicitaion of other WWI Flight Combat games on our site, especially of a competetive nature. There are a TON of non-biased Flight Sim forums that material of that nature can be posted. But this being a specific OFF Fan/customer/community based forum, it doesn't belong here. Yes, talk of RoF is absolutely acceptable, however, please limit that as well out of nothing more than repect to us, the OFF Dev Team and the guys making RoF. This is not the place to compare, accuse, tear apart, promote, whatever, anything related to RoF. It's not fair to us, or them. We love flight sims as well... how do you think we got to this point, but again, we are now a commercial venture, and would appreciate that you take that into account before you post solicitations for or bash any other WWI Combat Flight Sims on this forum. Be respectful. I'm sorry to have to do this, but at the same point, I offered to do this job and will adhere to the book, and take advice from other forum moderators while doing it, which I did today. All the best, and thanks as always for your direct understanding in this matter. Please continue to enjoy this great forum provided to us by the CombatAce guys. OvS -

LOL!... The Nova.. ah... the nova... well, she's dormant in my garage and I have not found the time this winter to work on her. BUT... I did manage to completely overhaul the entire underside, paint and all. All new bushings, gas tank, lines, brakes.... all new. I've got the front disc brake kit waiting to go in, and some sheet metal work to do in the back. So it's time to get started again on my days off. Just yesterday I cleaned out a lot of crap around the car so I can start working on it again. I have all the parts... I just have to put it together. I decided to make it a flat black Rat-rod, which should look cool considering it's a wagon. Thanks for asking. OvS -
Looks like a good starting point. I like the amount of ground 'clutter'. Would be nice to have a few more quality sims to fly. :) OvS

Yeah, sounds like something 'Fat Bastard' would do. I really hate that guy. Udet should have been given control over JG1, not Fat Bastard. From: http://www.firstworldwar.com/bio/goering.htm "He shot down one more Spad for his 22nd and final victory. The respected historian and author, Norman Franks, noted that many of Goring's kills seem to have occurred over British lines, a rather suspicious circumstance." I agree.... suspicious...

As an old RB3D MMP Jasta 23b member, I remember those days as well. I think we could do the same with OFF, however, on a smaller scale. Possible 6 v 6, Centralize the map a little and do it by section. Although limited, and certainly not up to the 50+ active flyers as RB3D was, the detail and immersion of OFF does very well with MMP. We would just have to re-write the rules a little. We can make it work if we really want to... how do you think RB3D got to where it was. ;) OvS

Olham, If you get this to work, which I hope you do... please let us know as I'd like to make this post part of the Knowledge Base, and also make a copy for the 'Multiplayer' area. This way folks that want to set-up LAN parties with OFF, can do so with good instruction. All the best, OvS

Just a note to let you know that we are trying to build a usable Knowledge Base for you guys. This was, folks with like issues can access the FAQ's as well as the Knowledge Base for answers... and an archive as well. So if you thread was moved, it was because it was a often posted problem, or had a solution that others can benefit from. All the best, OvS

If it was that easy, we would have. You can trust our purchse system, it's good, and has already serviced many folks on this forum with little issue. All the best, OvS

I'm confused about Ace skins and have a question
OvS replied to MK2's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yes, one of the problems we faced was simply not being able to assign a specific skin to ourselves, and not to the wing. Hopefully someday we can work it out. Now about the Yank area. The Huns in that area are unfortunately thin on aces and ace skins for that area/time period. If we do another release, we're going to focus more on area like that to add in more detail, plane types and aces. There just weren't many in the southern areas like Marne, and Alsace. MK2, I don't know who said that, or where it was posted, but it was wrong. BHaH, as Shred has already pointed out, has a massive amount of ace paints assigned to individual pilots/aces. Many even move with the ace as his career develops. The Dr.1's, other than some J11 skins, were done by Makai. His work is fantastic and very detailed. So you saw them active in the game. We didn't get them all in, but we certainly got more than we ever expected. :) All the best, OvS -

Yes, this is true. As Winder once put it, changing the clouds setting doesn't help the FPS at all. So you can leave them on high.

Oh God... his head... it's... getting... man... it's growing... and wow... it's HUGE!!!!

MvR flew the all red Triplane from about late February to April 1918 until he died. He flew a few variants of the Dr.1, starting with the F.1 version, which was grayish/turquoise. Once it was approved for flight, his first Dr.1 was mostly Olive Drab and red as seen above. He then switched to the all red version, with MALTEES crosses, then in mid-march, he changed to the the all red with Balken crosses which he was shot down in. We have him in the later of the two. OvS

A hell of a guy!! Brave, tough and dedicated... Airborne! Hey, I see our families have something in common... dropping into France and wreaking havoc. ;) 3 of my Uncles were Airborne. 1 was a Red Devil (82nd AB 508th), and the other two were 101st. Here's my Uncle Ben who was in the 508th in full 'mess' dress.... nice boots eh? ;) They were great men.. even at such a young age... unlike the disrespectful trash that walks the streets of our cities and town today. :( Nov_19_001.bmp OvS

THE RED BARONS GREATEST FEAR!

yes, that's correct. Just pressing the Ctrl C drops the Lewis and auto loads it. And yes.. only 3 mags... better to hold back than take pot shots with the Lewis. OvS
