Creaghorn this is amazing! I cant believe someone has reached so many flight hours. Congratulations! My biggest survivability problem though, is enemy Archie. How do you avoid enemy AA fire? 70% of my pilots so far are dead because of Archie and ground fire and 30% from enemy aircraft fire.

Oh yes. I have tried some repaints in FS9 and thats why I recall it as "shinyness" control.

These grey looking images is the Alpha Channel. They are used mainly for skins which represent metal surfaces (and metal surfaces reflect a lot of light) and not canvas (thats why we dont see them in OFF).

Just noticed this thread as I had been away for quite some time. Whatever happens, we will be here to support you guys. As for the reviews of OFF... I think that there should be payed even more attention on getting more and more sites/mags to review OFF. I would definently buy an add-on pack for OFF. In my opinion though, the OBD team must set sails for a somewhat different approach to WWI sim development. I think that you guys should try to get completely unhooked from CFS3 and make OFF a totally stand-alone program. I dont know how easy this is, (I dont think it is) but you have to consider it! OFF is the greatest WWI sim to this day. And it gets better with every patch. Keep up the good work!

I totally understand what you talking about. I have never noticed it though.. And I have a slight suspicion that this is not the skin's problem but CFS3 problem to model the sun illumination correctly.

Normal DM is the most accurate from my point of view. You get flamers only with careful shots at the engine area. Flamers were not that usual you know...From Bishop's 72 victories only a few were flamers.

I recently made freetrack and since then, my aim has become worse, (but the game 1000 times for immersinve of course!), and finally, I only fly one mission per day, and if the pilot dies, I spend a day or two without playing OFF. (self-punishment for being stupid) . So things are pretty slow with me. But my current pilot is going good, and when he becomes an Ace, I am going to put him on the killboard

If you are the flight leader, just hit Shif+W and climb on your way to the waypoint target.

Aye you joined the finest squadron of the entire war my lad! I crossed the channel from St-Pol-Sur-Mer with an N17 2 days ago after configuring my freetrack. Wanted to enjoy the 6 degrees of freedom by sightseeing. I got near the cliffs of Dover, but it seems that I crashed onto them, while making a fly by at 300 yard distance....

Nice pics everyone! I especially like the 2nd pic from Rooster though. Hey man thanks. It works like a dream! I am trying to reduce the CPU load of freetrack which is about 10% for my P4 processor. The fps at campaign mode have fallen by 10 and so had to lower the graphic settings from 5/4/4/5/1 to 5/3/3/5/1 to keep up to old fps values. Will figure something out....
