Polovsky,question about campaigns.
Parky replied to Luiz Carlos's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Luiz, UncleAl understood your question perfectly. Trying to make sense of his answer however, is where it can get a bit challenging. I think I understood the part about scalps hanging from a lodge pole. The rest of it I'm still working on..... Cheers, Parky -
OT anyone over 40 remember this?
Parky replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
The only channels you could get back then in the UK were BBC1 and BBC2. Don't recall ever having seen that particular show. I do remember this one though I've been tempted over the years to undergo some form of analysis to determine if Bill & Ben are somehow responsible (due to some form of subliminal suggestion) for my having been compelled to put together and maintain my own Grow-Op. Come to think of it, I'm surprised I can remember anything that took place any earlier than this morning. Cheers, Parky -
Hmmmm, I just looked, but unfortunately there isn't an option in Workshops to do away with domestic/RL committments. Winder is good.....but he ain't that good.....lol. As in all aspects of life, priorities must be maintained. A good many of us have been in your shoes I'm sure. Fortunately, some of us old farts are way past having to nurse a child through their "formative" years. Mind you, my 21 yr old (and the 19 yr old) require a fair bit of attention nonetheless. The only difference is it doesn't involve them torturing the cat or sticking something in an electrical outlet..........usually Hopefully once things slow down on the domestic front, you'll have the opportunity to spend some time on the western front. I find it's much calmer there......lol. Cheers, Parky

Dawn Patrol (TSR) miniatures campaign pictures.
Parky replied to MK2's topic in WWI Flight Sim Discussion
Wow, Quite a bit of time and effort involved there. Most impressive indeed. Looks fabulous! You really must create a new rule though. NO open beverage containers on the board!!! Thanks for sharing this stuff. Fascinating to say the least. Cheers, Parky -
Was it collisions or breaking up wings?
Parky replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
No Force Feedback Herr Olham??? -
The OFF team has you covered. You can choose to completely bypass the claims routine via an option in the Workshop settings. In fact, the last couple of patches have made the game so adjustable to personal tastes, you'd have to be incredibly fussy not to be able to find a comfort zone. Something for everyone. No matter how easy or how hard you want things to be, the levels of difficulty can be changed with the click of a mouse. If you're a fan of the genre at all, you owe it to yourself to at least consider adding BHH to your collection. Cheers, Parky

LMAO!!!!! In fairness to poor old Billy, Windows7 looks like a winner to me so far. As with any OS, it won't be for the seemingly endless supply of MORONS who insist on downloading those lovely "free" programs that are always available in abundance. I just spent most of the weekend repairing two systems whose users decided "Antivirus 360" was a must-have utility. If you see the aforementioned program, (or another one called Spy Falcon Anti-Spyware) steer well clear of both of 'em. You've been warned. Cheers, Parky

Yep, I'll bet my Vickers that most of the young chaps who flew these crates were far more concerned with survival as opposed to kill totals. I know I am.... Cheers, Parky

Catcher, Awesome vid!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Showcases the brilliance of BHH very nicely! You certainly are no slouch when it comes to aiming that payload. Should take 'em a while to repair that mess.....lol. Well done old boy!! Cheers, Parky

If this is with regard to a recently purchased BHH DVD, you might want to send an e-mail here: support@overflandersfields.com Cheers, Parky -
Hey Richard, Don't you have to go rehearse for the next "Hell's Kitchen" episode? LMAO

I hate to go against the grain here...

Something definitely wrong. I just came out of a QC.....6 Tripes against 6 DRI's. It appeared to me that both my wingmen and the enemy pilots had been into the same jug of methamphetamines.....served with a side of real pissed OFF. Total chaos. Put a few rounds in one EA who broke high and somebody sawed my wing off.....lol. This all happened in about 18 seconds flat. Sheer insanity!!! How many different ways can you spell phun!!!!!??? Cheers, Parky -
Air Combat Survival Tactics post 1.26 patch
Parky replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
No tips for survival here. It's not one of my strong suits....lol. I do however have to comment on just how much more difficult survival has become after the latest updates. It's no longer a matter of pumping rounds into a seemingly disinterested AI opponent. I've encountered AI behaviour that leaves me absolutely gobsmacked after these latest patches. Unbelievable improvements!! Surviving 17 hours is gonna' be virtually impossible without a great deal of common sense, self-restraint and a "discretion is the better part...." approach. I imagine that's very much how it was in RL back then. It doesn't get much better than this if you enjoy a really tough challenge. Not sure if it's my imagination, but I think Pol must have tweaked the FM on the twin gun Tripehound. Been having a ton of fun and real good success flying it. In short, what works for me is the Tripe!! Cheers, Parky -
Yep, I can confirm BHH installed and runs flawlessly in Windows7 on my current system. Seems to run better in Win7 than it does in XP. That could be partially due to a freshly installed OS and only a few other proggies being present on a designated and uncluttered drive, but it does run very smoothly. It's much too early in the Beta stages for me to wholeheartedly recommend it, but I'm really quite impressed with the it so far. Haven't run into any issues yet. Keeping my fingers crossed. Cheers, Parky

Well, my matchbox arrived in the mail some weeks ago. I've spent most of my available spare time out in the back yard, smashing it and setting fire to it ever since. Throw the Sennheiser350 noise/wife-cancelling headphones on, and nothing short of a 7.2 earthquake can snap me back to reality. Whatever further improvements (if any at all) are made to the matchbox from here on in, I'm sure they would be welcome regardless of the source of inspiration, wether they came about as a result of constructive input, feedback, or sheer developer based determination and creativity. In fact, even if they didn't come about at all would be fine with me. My matchbox is quite flammable and very smashable just the way it is. Cheers, Parky
