You can wake up from your dream, now, Leutnant Starke.. "Wake up now. Wake up. You were just dreaming again," like I used to wake a dreaming daughter. (As the staffelfuerher shakes the young Leutnant from his dream)

A couple of pics of the "Terror in the Sky" Thanks to RAF Louvert for the skin. I hope I can keep it grom getting too many bulletholes.

I believe it will change over on or near Nov 5 when we get the two man Strutters. For now, we can try and survive or wait a few days... I just finished my first flight and it was artillery spotting just north of Albert. Of course the Hun were in the way and I made a mistake that almost cost me. While pouring the rounds into a Halb Dll, it was smoking enough that I let it go, figuring it would crash. In the meantime, I engaged with another and shot it down and filed a claim. But, I put up the Tac and found that the crippled Halb was flying back to his lines, smoke trailing him all the way. I should have finished him , for now he will live to fight another day. I believe Siggi said he had a scramble. Must have been because we started at different times on Oct 29?? I'll be waiting until tomorrow for my next flight. Isn't it something? here is the first day and I don't want to push my luck.

I'll be in the air shortly. I guess I am like one of those anxious young 'uns that was so and is so prepared to die?
-
That is good news, Siggi. And the web site looks very nice. It will be interesting to see the numbers as they are recorded. I shall start out today, even though my personal plane is in the hangar getting a new paint job. I'll use one of the other "crates" Many thanks to you for getting this started It just doesn't seem right that you aren't flying with us Widow. Perhaps you will join as a replacement when the time is right?

We've got a cracking bunch of fellows in our squadron and we'll be coming at you day and night, night and day. Well you get the picture..

Sending out samples for Christmas? Thanksgiving? My grandfather was a baker after his stint at farming which didn't turn out . But he could make a heck of a French donut, I think they are called

You bet, and I am very excited about the Tripe and the twin gun version. My favorite airplanes.

Retired about 9 years ago, but still working some part time at a fisheries station nearby as night watchman. The job lasts about 6 weeks. For additional income and as a hobby, I make fish decoys (carvings) of fish that are used for spearfishing, but mostly as a collectible. One can do a search on ebay for fish decoy and see a wide variety of this. I also do a little work as baliff at the local courthouse. My main career was when I worked for the State of Minnesota as a forester and then transferred into law enforcement. For 25 years I was a conservation officer (game warden) and loved the job, but retired early.

I fear I was thinking about the New York Yankees and the baseball world series. Put me down as William Christian Rasmussen, then. After my grandfather who was a WW1 vet in the US Navy.

Old Tom looks real nice there, Stiffy. I might be getting a new paint job meself.

A truly amazing career that will stand for a LOOONNNNGGGGG Time -
Ax, it was a most miserable headache when I tried to join up on MP a number of times last summer. And I appreciate the help I received. I posted a message day or two ago that I would soon give it another try, but if its anything like what I went thru last time, well then I just have to say, I know you fellows are having fun as I find online flying a very thrilling thing. I do it twice weekly in FSX. And can't remember if it was you, Sitting duck or someone else who said it had something to do with my "ping rate" . Heck if I understand that stuff, but once the cold Minnesota weather sets in, I'll be giving it another try. Great Pictures by the way

Does this mean we have to limit our "indulgence of a little cognac" before a flight to ward of the effects of the castor oil, Cap'n? Rest assured we'll look just like this group.
-
I'll be giving it another try sometime later this fall or early winter. I sure appreciated the assistance all of you fellows gave me this summer, but we just couldn't get it worked out. I was one of two that was having aircraft "crash and burn" when trying to get into MP

Knowing there has been some discussion of this type of video in the past; it has nothing to do with flying and should not be offensive to anyone...I am hoping. So, those especially from the area of Minnesota and the midwest, this will or should hit "home' with you.

Pratice Flight for the upcoming Campagin

Nice pic, Carrick. "Practice makes perfect" it has been said. And I need lots of practice -
Siggi, no problem here with what we choose with regard to Camel or SE5- or the auto mixture. Personally, I haven't been able to get much more speed when trying to make the adjustments at the higher altitudes with the mixture settings. On standby

Stiffy, check out post #46. We'll be flying in RNAS #3. Other info there. Start your engines---for warm up that is

Took a ride in a Ford Tri Motor late this summer in the co-pilot seat with windows open. It was a warm summer morning and the breeze was hitting me in the face and was able to rest my elbow just like you would if driving a car with the window down. It was out of Blaine, MN at the Golden Wings Museum which has a great bunch of old aircraft. All privately owned by a Greg Herrick, which some may have heard of. This Ford Tri-Motor if I remember correctly was used in a movie that was released this past July. Can't remember the name of it now, but I believe one of the stars was Johnny Depp and it had something to do with Frank Dillinger or Al Capone? THis is the link to the museum if interested. http://www.goldenwingsmuseum.com/

And I put in some time in the Strutter today. My gunner was also doing a little practice.

Looks good to me also. This should be interesting. Ras

I have ony been able to advance time by hours and not by days. It takes quite a bit of time to advance it in small increments. I have the settings in workshop on the maual setting, but is there a way to advance the time ahead by a few days or weeks if one would wish to do it? Thanks
