  1. Yes, a gentle PM has been sent. Thanks
  2. Yes, Olham, I have downloaded some skins, some of which are yours. There are certainly a nice lot to choose from. One of my favorites is the one RAF Louvert did of the Sopwith Tripe and I have yet to post some pictures with it. I haven't had much time to fly as of late. But by personal skins, it might be one that is fitting to a profession, hobby, or personality. I carve wooden fish decoys as a hobby and side business and in FSX I have a special plane (Spartan Executive) in green and sillver with the words Fish Decoys by Ras on it. THe other fellows really get a kick out of it, though something like that would probably not be appropriate in OFF. Though a plane with a symbol of a fish on the side of it would be something that would be cool. Like a fish with its mouth wide open, ready to take a bite. Thanks again.
  3. Yes, Duce, those of us that don't skin, we may have to bribe or "buy" a skin?
  4. Congratulations to everyone, and a special thanks to the "producer", RAF Louvert. It was very informative for me and many others I am sure.
  5. WHOA, THis is mind boggling. Great pictures you posted and thanks for sharing them.
  6. Unless I missed it, I haven't found any new skins for the Sopwith Tripe, which is the favorite among many of us. Though they may not be as colorful as the Hun aircfraft, if there is something I/we could fly the Tripe in with some brilliant colors, it would be appreciated. Nothing nicer than to look outside and see the sun reflecting off a brilliant green or blue, or black , or ANYTHING but a drab green or brown. Thanks for your consideration
  7. That is a mighty fine looking Tripe, Lou. Much appreciated. I'll be flying it later tonight. I would be at it right now but taking care of some grandchildren. Speaking of which, I have a 4 year old that just loves to pull the trigger...CONSTANTLY. Even with the unlimited ammunition setting, the gun still freezes
  8. You skinners are all true artists. I'll have to start new pilots for each one!! That will be a real joy. Looking fine!! Thanks a lot
  9. That sounds great Lou, and WM. Even though its not realism, I need some color in my life.
  10. We've been hearing about all the rain. Stay safe, stay well, and fly outta that place. Good Luck
  11. Great video, Lou. And though I prefer rock and roll , the music is fitting. At the end, you could have landed next to him and had a smoke and shared a little cognac. I've done some movies with FSX and appreciate how much thinking and editing it can take for something like this. Well done
  12. Radio, good to have you here, and never apologize for the English. We, in the USA are for the most part illiterate when it comes to the spoken word. I always commend the Euopeans and others for their command of the English language in addition to their own,. FOr me, though, I cannot answer your question. Thank you
  13. OFF the Meat Grinder

I know what you mean Deadangle. I must have 150 hours in OFF and I can't last more than a couple of missions with full realism. I've read about tactics and have a fair amount of experience in combat flight sims...which I almost think has been a detriment. So I fly with realism at -30% and had reached 15 hours with 11 kills when I finally "met my maker" and had to start over for the 73rd time.. I wouldn't doubt that I have had that many pilots already.
  14. I was looking back at some great movies made by some of the fellows. Jammer 28, you were just one of our producers among others and sure hope you come back around again
  15. I am a reader of fiction as long as it can remain "historically accurate" to some degree. I just finished reading "Blue Max" and "Blood Order" by Jack Hunter, I think it is. I am now reading a book called "Ace Minus One", by Timothy Morrisroe. It is absolutely fantastic, the kind of book that is hard to set down. I found it at the Aerodome web site in case anyone else is interested. If anyone knows some truly outstanding fiction with regard to WW 1 aviation, please let me know. I know there is/was antoher thread on books someplace but I didnt' think it would hurt to start this one about a truly great read http://www.theaerodr...&sub=6&cat_id=6
  16. The Hard Stuff

Oh yes, I know George, but haven't seen him around for years. Never found it locally and forgot all about until now. Sometimes Southern Comfort which is quite different
  17. Don't you just love it? I found myself twisting my head and neck to your every move, Lou. Nice video and thanks for putting it up for us to see.
  18. I've been flying for all sides in the flat lands, and looking for a squadron (Germany, Britain, or France) that is flying in the forested and hilly regions that will stay in those areas. I found a Sopwith Strutter squad that was South of Nancy I believe but looking to fly in a scout squad. I know many of you have been there. What are your recommendations? Thank you
  19. Thanks everyone. I knew it showed the squadrons on the map but it seems they move around so much...but then I never last that long before I get shot down anyhow.
  20. battle damage to aircraft

Gave this a try and game did not load. It would take me right back to QC combat screen. So I tried it with other pilots, and other aircraft. Still same happened. So I am thinking these settings are not for everyone. I am one that sees no damage most of the time. Once in a while I see some but have never seen a bullethole.
  21. Reason for screen name....

Ras is just a short nickname for the last name of Rasmussen. Plane and simple, though I always wanted to use "Fishman" because I do a lot of that
  22. Great stuff. Laughed so hard, I loved it. And if it had come from Churchill with differnet verbage, or Roosevelt, it would and could have been done just as well.
