And it's a beauty. For those of you newcomers, that is the job of RAF Louvert. I'll try and take care of it. Sure was good to get back into my favorite plane. Not to forget the Widowmaker who also made a great skin for me, but it turns out I misplaced it somewhere in shuffle of computer problems. I haven't given up looking yet.

Well, almccojr would have to explain it in detail , but for one thing, I did not do a clean uninstall of my registry and some other items. I had always thought I was doing that, but was far off in what it all entailed. I made some notes so that if I ever have to go thru this again (forbid that) I would hope I could handle it. Thanks again.

Each and everyone that helps out a fellow flier/comrade should be applauded. A great community of members. I hope to get in the swing of things soon. My apologies for my statement. It is like an addiction. The more you have it, the more you want and need it. I am going to leave it alone for a while and will check back once in a while for any thoughts or ideas.

I often believe I can be the unluckiest fellow on earth; and at times I can also be lucky. I have health, a wonderful family, but a fricking problem with OFF. Once again I salute you fellows for assiting and I know I am not finished yet. But, rather than spend many, many hours with this, I will look to ROF and WOP and the upcoming other combat sim--is it SOF? There is a point of no return and I am soon approaching. Many of you know that I was on a roll within the campaign Did when my older computer crashed. Then I replaced it and 2 months later I suffered water damage to my house and did not have a desktop computer for about 80 or so days. So, am I pissed off? Am I frustated? Heck yes, .. Have I lost patience? Yes, But if you don't hear from me again, it is because of the loss of patience. But I will always remember the assistance given me. So long.. I hope not

This has probably been discussed earlier, but in my turmoil of not having any luck with installing OFF in my new computer and Win 7 system (some have had success) I am wondering if P4 and Win 7 will be compatible? Or tested in Win 7? Thankyou

Nothing has worked.. Again. But perhpas others will learn. I did all that was suggested. This time I was able to click on the "accept agreement" when I went to play or fly CFS3 briefly. As soon as I clicked on the agreement, the screen disappeard as quickly as it was touched. So for kicks, I decided to try OFF. On the opening screen I got this message:" DX File 1_2, then Run Time Error 444, then Object doesn't support this action.. Still I went into Quick combat and set up a flight. I got the music, the words , "contact" the it continued trying to load for a few seconds with the screen where you see Eddie and the Baron and then it bumped me back to QC. I then left the game. Thats about it fellows. Thanks for the help again. Perhpas I will look for the dvd and see if that would work

All of you fellows have been great. And you all need to know that if this isn't figured out; that I hope you understand though I am very frustrated; I am also very thankful for those like you that can share their knowledge/

Hoping you have some luck. I had installed the demo of Wings of Prey which had some Direct X9.0 files on it....but also did as was suggested earlier and downloaded the 9.0C (can't remember what it was called now) file so I have been caught up with all the suggestions. I just hope the p4 is Win7 compatible. If it is not, I won't be able to accept issues such as this. It plainly is NOT TOLERABLE.

Have the older non DVD version. HAve it in to play, it pops up, that is the first screen that used to allow you to play CFS3 and as soon as it pops up, it disappears. Installation goes fine without a glitch.

Still a "No Go". Nothing has changed. I've done all that has been suggested. I still can not run CFS3. I GIVE. But if there are any other ideas out there, I would try, otherwise its over

I found the Directx 9.0C Redistributable but what do i do with it? I don't want it to interfere with Directx 11. If there is any chance of that, won't mess with the system. Your help is appreciated

Everything else is working fine, such as FSX and another flight sim (not to be named) so I have always went with, "leave well enough alone"...I feel that it is just something simple that I have been doing to make a relative easy mistake. But, having said that, because of issues with my old computer in the last 9 months of its life, I probably installed OFF/HITR and all of its patches about 4 or 5 times, to the point I could do it with one eye closed. But that was with XP and as I said, patience is only so long, then I will have to turn to another program. Gawd, how I hate to give up OFF, but I will. Headaches aren't worth an hour of enjjoyment here and there

Yes, i did thanks. Gave it a try two times actually. Don't have XP any longer. Have Win 7 Home Edition on new computer

Direct x 11. Ati Radeon 5770. DXDIAG , Intel Core I7, 2.80gh.. everything in the diagnositcs said ok...i don't understand hardly anything I read on it though

I had my fingers crossed and had hoped this would work. I went back and did a clean install, even used CC cleaner ..re installed. Both times when I tried to run the game, I double click on the CFS3Win 7 remade shortcut and the game "picture" that would allow me to fly it briefly-pops up but disappears in a split second..just like it did before. I get to the point that it isn't worth the effort. I have probably spent 5 hours trying to get this going. After a year or more of enjoyment of OFF and then some months of HITR on my old XP system, I doubt I have the patience to continue. Unless someone else has suggestions, it looks like I will go try out that darn arcadish style Wings of Prey and enjoy looking at he scenery and also back to FSX. SO I may not be back except to check on Phase 4. Hopefully it will be ready for Win7
