  2. Looks good to me...let me know when to report to the field. Royce
  3. OT Classic British Lavatory Humour

WM- A bit too "over the top" for my taste..but I always enjoy the British accent and slang. Perhaps I missed it...but why would anyone find that offensive? Royce
  4. POINT OF INTREST

    Sounds terrific.
  5. This sounds very interesting and immersive. I'll sign up as well IMHO..I like the last man standing aspect of the "competition". Gives everyone a genuine reason to be careful with their pilot. Everyone could choose a side and a unit. If you are eliminated early, your out, until the last man is left and wins; and then a new group, area and unit is initiated. For those "killed" early on..they would go back to their normal simming until the competition starts again. Is that basically it? Regards, Royce
  6. Wels- "grab the kids and see it through go and join the potato queue" >> wait out the raid, and get the children on line to a bomb shelter. That is what it means. Royce
  7. New Nvidea driver

Against my better judgement, i.e. fixing what is not broken...but always wanting to extract the max from my GPU's for gaming and simming, I installed the latest drivers and they work fine with OFF and the other PC games I play. Just an FYI as well. Royce
  8. 1- PC gaming ( OFF..FO3..COD..All CFS WW2 builds) 2- History (When some thread of historical study peaks my interest, I drill down..) 3- Golf 4- Motorcycling 5- Wines 6- Poker 7- Boxing 8- Collecting old travel books in no particular order ;>)
  9. Found this posted over at Delphi Forum...very historical and quite interesting. http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/30011 Regards, Royce
  10. Dawn on the Western Front

WM- A twelve year old writing like that is really amazing..he has true talent! Now tell him you've been mucking around on his PC..let him blow off a bit of steam at you..then tell him there's a forum board waiting for chapter 2 Regards, Royce
  11. Advice for a first campaign?

Is this the same Gromit that I remember from those "old RB days"? You've landed at the right 'drome in anycase. ;>) Regards, Royce
  12. I too am an Alsace sector fan..enjoy the more "relaxed" flying and the mountainous scenery. Been hanging around the dromes there for a long time ;>) Royce
  13. All fine with Avast full scan. Royce
  14. Playmate of the Month...

RoF has had excellent marketing, advertising, and "sim PR"...IMHO. Whatever the value of the product maybe. Clearly they had/have allocated a budget for these sales expenses. With the amount of exposure I have seen on the websites and in magazines, it is clearly producing product awareness and probably sales. Customer satisfaction, however, is obviously another subject. Royce
  15. Anything that "ups" the immersion factor..I enjoy. >> For the total immersion that you desire, you might need to print out rabu's maps and laminate them (so you can write on them again and again with a chinagraph pencil, and then rub it off to use the next mission). Carefully plot the in-game airfields with a pen (don't need to be computer savvy to do that), laminate them, the write in the waypoints in chinagraph and take off.<< I have done this in the past when I had the time; and it's very enjoyable, challenging and immersive. Also I imagine that those pilots we try and replicate/simulate, didn't get nicely printed maps of their missions. They probably took whatever they were given, depending, "marked in" any landmarks or intelligence available, and off they went. Seems like Rabu has provided just that opportunity with his maps..IMHO Regards, Royce
  16. Pol- As always..outstanding care and support for this outstanding product!!! Regards, Royce
  17. BBC Wings

As I read the site..this plays on only European DVD players? Is that correct? Regards, Royce
  18. News From The Front!

Terrific information. Very much a "daily newspaper" feel to the War. Personally, I love this.. Royce
  19. Stickshaker- Just as an FYI...if I am not mistaken, about a "1,000" years ago in Red Baron, I believe someone made a model of the Junkers D.I for a modded version of that sim. Could have been "Revenge of the Jastas" by Von Helton. Perhaps it is still available over at "Wings Of Honor" repository for d/l and or perusal. Regards, Royce
  20. Recon Photos etc

Facinating Recon photos..especially the reverse! RFC 16 Sqn: The Squadron was formed at Saint-Omer, France on 10 February 1915 from elements of Nos. 2, 6 and 9 Squadrons. It immediately began fighting in the First World War under Hugh Dowding. For the rest of the Great War, the 'Saints'[1] were deployed throughout Northern France and operated a mixture of aircraft including Bleriot XI, Martinsyde S.1 and Royal Aircraft Factory B.E.2c on offensive patrol and tactical reconnaissance duties.[2] Disbandment occurred on New Year's Eve 1919... http://www.wtla.airwar1.org.uk/no%2016%20sqn.htm Captain William Allcock RFC's diary 2 Sqn personnel mentioned Sep 1915- Feb 1916 Maj Becke CO Lt Arthur Whitten Brown (observer) (POW 10/11/15, later flew the Atlantic in 1919) 2/Lt K D P Murray Lt Herbert Bainbridge Russell (observer) later pilot with 23 Sqn POW 26 June 1916 Lt A L Russell (pilot) POW 5 Jan 1916 Lt W E Somerville (pilot) POW 5 Jan 1916 Capt "Caruthers", probably a reference to Capt T Carthew DSO Sgt Craven 2/Lt B C Rice (observer) 2/Lt (?LC) Chapman (observer) 1AM Bowes Lt E M Gilbert (observer) 2/Lt Harold William Medlicott (POW 10/11/15 later shot escaping 21/5/18) Lt Nulue (observer) 1AM Harris 2AM Aston Capt Sandery ?
