OT Classic British Lavatory Humour
cptroyce replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
WM- A bit too "over the top" for my taste..but I always enjoy the British accent and slang. Perhaps I missed it...but why would anyone find that offensive? Royce -
Sounds terrific.

Volunteers needed for DiD campaign.

This sounds very interesting and immersive. I'll sign up as well IMHO..I like the last man standing aspect of the "competition". Gives everyone a genuine reason to be careful with their pilot. Everyone could choose a side and a unit. If you are eliminated early, your out, until the last man is left and wins; and then a new group, area and unit is initiated. For those "killed" early on..they would go back to their normal simming until the competition starts again. Is that basically it? Regards, Royce -
Moving poem, need some help for translation ..
cptroyce replied to Wels's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Wels- "grab the kids and see it through go and join the potato queue" >> wait out the raid, and get the children on line to a bomb shelter. That is what it means. Royce -
Against my better judgement, i.e. fixing what is not broken...but always wanting to extract the max from my GPU's for gaming and simming, I installed the latest drivers and they work fine with OFF and the other PC games I play. Just an FYI as well. Royce

WM- A twelve year old writing like that is really amazing..he has true talent! Now tell him you've been mucking around on his PC..let him blow off a bit of steam at you..then tell him there's a forum board waiting for chapter 2 Regards, Royce -
Is this the same Gromit that I remember from those "old RB days"? You've landed at the right 'drome in anycase. ;>) Regards, Royce

All fine with Avast full scan. Royce -
RoF has had excellent marketing, advertising, and "sim PR"...IMHO. Whatever the value of the product maybe. Clearly they had/have allocated a budget for these sales expenses. With the amount of exposure I have seen on the websites and in magazines, it is clearly producing product awareness and probably sales. Customer satisfaction, however, is obviously another subject. Realistic map navigation in OFF!
cptroyce replied to Dirk98's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Anything that "ups" the immersion factor..I enjoy. >> For the total immersion that you desire, you might need to print out rabu's maps and laminate them (so you can write on them again and again with a chinagraph pencil, and then rub it off to use the next mission). Carefully plot the in-game airfields with a pen (don't need to be computer savvy to do that), laminate them, the write in the waypoints in chinagraph and take off.<< I have done this in the past when I had the time; and it's very enjoyable, challenging and immersive. Also I imagine that those pilots we try and replicate/simulate, didn't get nicely printed maps of their missions. They probably took whatever they were given, depending, "marked in" any landmarks or intelligence available, and off they went. Seems like Rabu has provided just that opportunity with his maps..IMHO Regards, Royce -

Stickshaker- Just as an FYI...if I am not mistaken, about a "1,000" years ago in Red Baron, I believe someone made a model of the Junkers D.I for a modded version of that sim. Could have been "Revenge of the Jastas" by Von Helton. Perhaps it is still available over at "Wings Of Honor" repository for d/l and or perusal. Regards, Royce -
