  1. LvR's DVII

Wow,I knew this sim is very accurate but this i didnt expect.Very good job
  2. LvR's DVII

Verified.Indeed I get the same wrong skin..
  3. I have to say its such a shame that you can´t get books like this in Germany. If you search, and i searched the last 14 years,it looks like this: you just get three or four different books at best. And two of them are about Richthofen..Its easier to find a book from 1930´s than something new
  4. UDET - THE FLYER

Also VERY interesting:Ernst Udet-Das Wunder des Fliegens.Propagandafilm with Udet´in action!´,footage of his apartment in Berlin Wilmersdorf  with all the rarities he collected over the years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs5cDYbCXIA And this short clip from 1956 of Eddi Rickenbacker in front of an old Spad:
  5. Ok..Whats going on with the DR1?

Not sure if it has something to do with it but for Phase1 and 2 you had to install a CFSUpdate.exe (upgrade CFS 3.0 to 3.1)and than ACUpdate(upgrade to 3.1a)first before OFF install, so i used them for Phase 3 as well..
  6. Shred,is your library WWI related??I thought I have a good amount of books(mostly from 1930´s)..
  7. Ok..Whats going on with the DR1?

Widowmaker, have you also installed the ACupdate.exe?
  8. Udet´s Fok D7 is quite known so i was surprised that the OFF skin of his plane has a Black/White striped upper wing instead of Red/White.So i searched a pic showing Udet standing at the tail of his Fokker and i have to say it doesnt look black to me.Take a look: If the darker stripes were black than they would have more the color of the wing-struts.The Struts are definitely black.Or Udet´s boots are also black. But to me the color of the dark stripes is similar with the color of the fuselage. What you think?Greetings
  9. Thanks guys for reply. Yes its a tough task to find out what colors they had when all you have is black and white.Just thinking of Voss´s Dr.1..Green or yellow cowling..puh..We never know for sure.Anyway You made a great great research job for this game!!
  10. Hello everyone.Below you see members of Jagdgeschwader 1 on a meeting in 1933 (in Munich, i think). It´s taken from the book ´Der Rote Baron´ by Joachim Kastan (publisher Klett-Kotta). I tried to in identify the names of the persons seen here but got stuck. My suggestions are: 1.(?) 2.Obltn.v.Doering 3.Lt.Schulte-Frohlinde 4.(?) 5.Obltn.v.Wedel 6.Lt.Just(?)/ObstLtn.Bodenschatz(?) 7.(?) 8.Lt.Groos 9.(?) 10.(?) 11.(?) 12.Obltn.v.Boenigk 13.Goering 14.(?) 15.Udet 16.Lt.Wenzel 17.Lt.Maushake 18.Vzfw.Niemz(?) 19.Lt.Janzen(?) 20.Lt.v.Raffey(?) 21.(?) 22.(?) 23.Lt.v.d.Osten(?) 24.(?) 25.(?) 26.(?) 27.Lt.Tuexen(?) 28.Lt.v.Schoenebeck 29.(?) 30.Lt.Laumann 31.(?) 32.Offz.Stellv.Aue(?) 33.Lt.Kueppers(?) 34.(?) 35(?) As we have many experts here on the forum i would be really glad if you could help me a bit.As you see i´m not sure of some of the names so feel free to leave a comment or suggestion but please only topic related  . Greetings and Horrido,Der Mo.
  11. Awards system

Hey that really great because the new medals and their certificate do look like they did back in the days. Here an example.. ..of the certificate for the Honor Goblet given to Hans Pippart, who had scored 22 kills at the time of his death on August 11 1918. Looks quite similar,he?
  12. Hmm..maybe the Aeorodrom is a better place for this.I have to admit the picture is quite low quality what makes it difficult to identify any of the guys. But its a really rare pic so here we go.I think the Richthofen veterans called themself ´Die Eisgrauen´(IceGrey) and they came together every year till the mid 1960´s.Does anybody know something about that?Greetings
  13. Udet prefered civil dress.Even at the ceremony for Richthofens 15.anniversary of his death Udet showed up in civil so the following day Bruno Loerzer kindly urged him to wear uniform more often.Udet had just entered the NSDAP in the year this photo was taken.Meanwhile he was flying crazy comedy-aerobatics at the Tempelhof as Professor Canaros and went to the States. Ps:Franz Ray never was in JG1,but thanks Olham,Greetings
  14. Yes i also noticed that on the famous`Red Heart`Albatros of Werner Voss.Sadly i forgot where i found this pic on the net.
  15. Me too..I had just discovered OvS´s Super Patch for RB3d (Western Front patch i think) and played it for a month when i tried to find out if TrackIR will work with it.Thats where i stumbled across OFF Phase One,at the TrackIR page.A week later Phase 2 came out which was a pretty good timing for me.
  16. Right Siggi. OvS if you go to war against cats.....thats poor...Save your energy for the Tommies in the air, they deserve it for real
  17. Hello Olham. If you find a day-by-day diary of Jasta 11,let me know.I only have a diary from the entire JG1 in the book called JAGD IN FLANDERNS HIMMEL by Karl Bodenschatz.Diary goes from June 1917 to Nov 1918 with pics of all the members of the Flying circus. But maybe you know the book allready. If not,you got to see it(i do visit berlin almost every second week... )I also have the Jasta 12 book you mentioned. It gives you a good inside look with jasta 12 but the diary from 1918 is missing as it got lost in WW2.Lots of photos and information.Recommended
  18. I downloaded the Curtiss Jenny and Handley Page ,for use with BHaH, at the Combat ace dowload section.I did not find any instruction where to put them so i copied them into the aircraft folder. At least it made sence to me since there are all the other OFF planes inside. But it doesnt work that way.Can anybody give some advise please?Greetings
  19. A Breguet? That would be a nice opponent in OFF.Udet ripped them a lot.
  20. thanks for the info stumpjumper, will keep one eye on that.
  21. NICE to see we have some bassplayers here in the forum.I play the bass for 12 years now.Upright and electric bass(fretted/fretless).Rock pop jazz .Touring all over the country.Greetings
  22. Tough to be German

With my Albatros DII i cannot outrun, outdive, outclimb or outmanouver the N17 at any altitude. When you try to outdive, the Albatross gets stiff like a bus when reaching only 200km/h while the N17 does what it wants to without getting stiff or loosing its wings.a bit unrealistic.Hard Opponent.best to avoid them when you are outnumbered
  23. DiD players.

What a great idea.i never use anything else than DID because with my lacking english i didn´t know what DIE ON DeathROLL means and when my pilot was dead he was ..dead.simple. NOW i know that i can refly a mission with DODR but in phase 2 we were told to ignore that,so i got used to it and never went back.i just fear that this list may become obsolet when people start to send fantasy kills just to see them self on top of the list.we need some kind of control(screenshot of carreerboard etc.)
  24. Anybody here Play SH3 or SH4?

currently i only play SH3 with wolfpack and Mediteran Pack as i am more interested in german u boot warfare than going againts japanese REISSCHUESSELs.
