Loss of wireless connection

actually the filters are only necessary if you have DSL. Don't think your cable modem should be affecting your phone lines... -

Loss of wireless connection
steve58 replied to Rickitycrate's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
Hi Rickitycrate -- if you get a 5Ghz or Dect6 phone, that should eliminate the interference problem. I imagine you have a wireless router as well? I have a D-Link DIR655 (2.4GHz). Its set up to search for the "best" channel (sub-channel) and it gets along beautifully with my Uniden 2.4GHz phones. I can use my cordless handset within just a few feet of the router and never have any problems. You might want to check to see which channel your router is using. Try changing it or let it pick which one it likes best... -
I pre-ordered 2 copies of Windows 7 for the wife's and my PCs. It is my understanding that both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions will be on the retail DVDs...

...wow. Just been reading through some of the posts on SimHQ. I feel like I made the right choice in not buying RoF right off. Maybe (probably...if they remove the internet connection requirement) down the road, in 6-12 months, but right now...no way...

Neoqb released a free Fokker DR1 download for FSX some time ago... http://www.neoqb.com/fokker/ A quite hefty 140MB download....

I've noticed that the Edit button is available (to the original poster) for a time after an initial post, then it goes away (at least that's how it works for me). May be a forum feature…. For example, I can see the Edit button on my (10:12ET) post

Matrixgames offers several freebies for the strategy player: http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tt.asp?forumid=149 and if you're into baseball, they just offered up PureSim Baseball 2007 http://www.matrixgames.com/news/581/PureSi...ilable.for.Free! The Matrixgames forums had a similar (free games) thread way back. If you want to sort through the thread, there are many freebies listed. Mostly strategy type games, but free. Some examples, Field of Strategy, Free Civilization, and more...

maybe a controller conflict? Didn't Homeboy post something about setting up multiple controllers way back? If you can't find anything searching through the forums, maybe try PM'ing him....

Exploding Aircraft and Error Message

Sounds like you might need to do a re-install... http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=40952 -
A small screen in QC that would let you see the 3D plane with the selected skin...
-
Thanks for the 3D model info Rabu and Paarma. I only played around with it a bit but didn't see any way to slap on different skins. (I see an option for skinmesh (*.x) files whatever they are, but don't see any .x files.) Thanks...
-
fyi…Another easy way to view the .dds files/skins is to use IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.net/). You must also download and install the plugins. What I'd like to see is a utility (or in game feature) to see a 3D view of the planes/skins…

Well this can only help sales of BHaH. Just a little browsing on the internet and I can already see a lot of potential buyers backing away from RoF in a hurry. Connect to the internet each and every time they want to fire up RoF even in single player mode? If they were holding out for RoF, where else can they turn now but to BhaH?

GoGamer Memorial Day sale -- CFS3 for $4.90 (+ shipping)
steve58 posted a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
...for anyone looking for an extra copy... http://www.gogamer.com/viewproduct.htm?pro...p;extid=May2209 Showed estimated shipping of $2.99. Less than $8 for a copy of CFS3....not bad. Note this is a timed sale (ends in a couple days) -
Took about a week for mine (west coast to east coast), but I paid with a CC. Not sure if they'll wait for your check to clear before shipping, but with any luck you should be getting shot down within a couple weeks for sure....

You're in the forums for Phase 3. Try here http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=211 and here http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=39024 Also check out Homeboy's Command Key Chart. He did it for Phase 3, but it should work for P2..

big problems with installing - please help!
steve58 replied to iamjohnsname's topic in WOFF 1 2 3 / UE - General Help
Installing BHaH doesn't/shouldn't affect your CFS3 install, so its not surprising that you can run it. Did you follow all the install tips in this link: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=37490? Also look over the FAQs: http://www.overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm#...on_and_settings Its possible you may have a bad BHaH DVD. Try contacting Polovski... p.s. one other thing you may want to try. Copy all the files on the BHaH DVD to a temp directory and see if you can install from that diectory... -
Hi Rickitycrate. Maybe its because version 3.90 is still a beta? Some betas apps do expire. I see they now have 3.90b2 available. On the download screen, scroll down to the "English WinRAR and RAR release" area and try downloading version 3.80. I downloaded/installed 3.80 last March and can still use it. You may/probably should completely remove the 3.90 version first...

Found the Zep download and love having it in the missions that PD-1 and RAF_Louvert have created (Thanks guys!). I realize its not official, etc. But is it just me (my rig?) or does this happen for the rest of you? Everytime I BBQ a Zep, the tail section blows off and orbits the rest of the zeppelin wreackage as it sinks to the ground? Very odd (but certainly better than no zeppelins!)

This is how I'd do it (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or missed anything): 1. Use the Uninstall feature in Control Panel to remove CFS3 (Vista: Control Panel -> Programs and Features. XP: Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs). 2. I believe you can just delete your BHaH directory. 3. Then go check your PC for leftover directories for CFS3 and BHaH. On my PC (Vista64) I have files/directories in these directories. (Maybe someone with an XP install can add in the directories for XP?) · C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Combat Flight Simulator 3 · C:\Games\BHaH (my chosen BHaH install directory, yours may be different) · C:\Users\<your PC name>\Documents\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields · C:\Users\<your PC name>\Documents\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0 · C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields · C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Combat Flight Simulator 3.0 Delete any of these directories/files that remain. 4. Then I'd run a program like CCleaner to go and remove any Registry entries (CCleaner allows you to save a copy of your registry and you should!) and reboot. NOTE: One thing I did notice was that I do actually have an entry in my Vista: Control Panel -> Programs and Features to remove the last patch (patch 9 V1.30c) so I'm assuming others may as well. So the question to Polovski is should the patch(es) be removed first, then the BHaH directory?
