I installed Phase II on a Vista PC (64-bit no less) and it ran fine. I suggest that for any executable (whether its for the CFS3 install and patches, OFF P2 install, the config executable, etc), make sure you install/run that executable as Administrator. Are you using Vista or XP?....not really clear from the posts. Also wouldn't hurt to post your system specs....

Try disabling the Vertex and/or Index buffer. Whe I first installed BHaH I was getting great framerates, but was getting the jerkiness you described. I poked around on the old SoH forums and http://www.polovski.com/ and found a suggestion Polovski made about trying to disable both buffers to eleiminate the jerkiness. Worked for me. Dropped my framerates a bit, but its now smooth. So far I've got both buffers disabled..haven't had time to see if I only need to disable one of them...

Back on the old SOH forums, seems I remember reading about a small mod on changing the label text for EA to something like <+>. It might have been for P2. Can it be done for P3? and how?? Thanks

I have Vista64 SP1 (Home Premium) running on a Core2 Quad 9450 2.66GHz, 4GB Ram, nVidia 9800GT w/1GB vRAM and a 1 TB hard drive. I have OFF patched to 1.3. When I installed CFS3/OFF P3 I made sure to click on "run as administrator" on every executable. I had to install CFS3 since I had the older CDs (v3.0); then patched it to 3.1a. I let it install into its default directory. I installed BHaH in c:\Games\BHaH. I set OFFMANAGER.EXE and CFS3.EXE to WinXP SP2 compatability. OFF BHaH is running on my system (with some pretty decent framerates, but a little stuttering when in Chase view). Granted I am having some issues with it right now (see http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=38921), but it is running. Just installed v1.3 so not sure yet if I’m still having the not saving kills problem.

Well, not sure about the rest of the forum users, but I can't read the error msg! I see a big black screen with a small error msg screen. How bout posting just the error msg screens?

Polovski -- just tried your suggestion. Got the same errors after creating a new pilot and flying a mission in a campaign. Guess I'll try a wipe and reload in the near future....

I get a series of errors like this: Error saving pilot dossier or log file X=33 C=2 GSquadronPilotsNum: 10 Seen it at least twice so far.

OK, I've now had this series of errors a couple of times (don't thing the numbers were the same each time). I think (not 100% sure) it was during a campaign. Homeboy -- couple questions for you. Did you actully make any changes to the Texture Limits and Z Bias areas? My eyes aren't good enough to tell... Also, I see that you modified the settings for CFS3.exe in nVidia Control Panel. Shouldn't that be OFFManager.exe?? I'm still trying to find the sweet spot settings for my rig (Intel Core2 Quad 9450 2.66GHz, 4GB Ram, Vista64 SP1, nVidia 9800GT w/1GB vRAM). I get some good frame rates (40-70s), but I get some screen stutters. Thanks...

OK,l browsed the docs (CFS3 and OFF) and didn't see an answer, so I'll ask here. In the TAC [aircraft view], red=EA, blue=friendlies, white=unknown. What do the black boxes indicate? Destroyed or soon-to-be-destroyed? or what? Thanks...
