  1. I GOT IT! my OFF CD

Congratulations on joining the war. You'll get many endless fine hours of flying and fighting in the skies over France. My condolences to your significant others. Hellshade
  2. I believe there was a lot of feedback from the players to change it to the more realistic, less spectacular crashes. For awhile there it looked like every plane that crashed was carrying a small nuclear device. In truth, they had about 20 gallons of aviation fuel and that's about it. However it's possible some of the modders could make something if they were so inclined. The big challenge there will be the fact that most of the mod makers are people who strive to make the sim even more realistic. Not sure how much luck you'll have but it never hurts to ask. Hellshade
  3. Virtual Drive

I have the CDs, but I used a 3rd party hack of the cfs3.exe that runs without checking the CD. Best option I could do for now. I hate keeping disks in the drive. I did the same thing for Oblivion. Hellshade
  4. Flying time still not correct?

Speaking as one of their customers, the reason I am such a big fan of OBD Software is because of the tremendous support they have given to this sim. Many of the options added into the Workshop were put there because OBD was responding to customer feedback. Multiple AI aggression levels. Multiple AA skill levels. Different accuracy levels for Main and Rear guns. They even had multiple Damage Models that they were supporting for awhile until it became overly cumbersome to do so. They also made changes to FM of certain planes. Read the patch notes. All of it was in response to customers wanting to tailor their experience to what they felt was most realistic. It's not that they aren't interested in feedback from their customers. They've already put out numerous patches due to customer feedback to make the best product possible, including the 1.32 Superpatch which is basically a preview of what P4 is going to look like. But there are only a few of them, they are working on P4 in their "spare" time since they all have regular jobs that pay the bills for them and I imagine like any human being, they might get their feathers ruffled once in awhile. OFF is certainly not making them rich, so they aren't doing it for the money. No product is perfect, but they have done better than most. It has been suggested that you try flying missions without pausing the sim or using the Warp option and then your time will be correct. Have you tried this yet? Hellshade
  5. Full effects

I fly DiD settings - full effects, as you call them - in all of my videos EXCEPT I usually (not always) have unlimited fuel and ammo turned on during Campaign missions. Nothing worse than getting into an awesome dogfight I'm trying to film and then running out of gas or guns. But I try not to spray the sky, so I doubt I'm burning through 500 / 1000 rounds anyways. I would definately try an SE5a Viper if I were you. It's a very stable gun platform. Doesn't spin easily at all. It was my favorite for a long time. My favorite A/C now is hands down the Sopwith Triplane. Manueverable, great view and very forgiving. But the DVII, SE5a, N17, DII and Sopwith Pup are all fairly well balanced planes as well. Anytime I wish to feel completely incompetent, I try a Sopwith Camel. Quirky beast. RAF_Louvert apparently has mastered those things, but so far for me, no real luck. He's a better pilot that I am. Hellshade
  6. Flying time still not correct?

The time has always been flawless for me. It always tells me right after I die that it's time to make a new pilot. What more could I ask for? Seriously though, I'd trying running a few missions without pausing or using the warp option, just to see if either of those time altering mechanics are somehow messing up the Workshop time. Hellshade
  7. Where's Uncleal?

He sent me a private message helpfully answering a noob question I had posted. He's lurking about somewhere. Hellshade
  8. Watch this space!

FM? I would like a modded FM. Where is that file hiding at? Hellshade
  9. I'd like to see a bunch of "Random" options added to the QC Workshop. That way you could set up a Quick Combat as follows: Enemy Plane Type: Random # of Enemies : Random Advantage/Disadvantage : Random # of Wingmen : Random Enemy Altitude difference : 5k below player/ level with player / 5k above player / Random Yes, I know that's what the Campaign is designed for, but not everyone always has time to fly Campaign Missions that may or may not result in combat. It would be a way to get your OFF combat fix in, guaranteed, in about 5 - 10 minutes. Hellshade
  10. A vicious battle in the skies over the town of Proville, France. Battle for Proville (6:31) 1080 HD Mods: Creahorns Sound Tweaks II Creaghorns Ammo mod - smoke trailers only Herr Prop-Wasche's Damage Model 2 disclaimer: no citizens of Proville were harmed during the making of this video. Enjoy, Hellshade
  11. Windows 7 - 64bit edition - if it matters.
  12. Whoot! Now Over Flanders Fields has two videos posted on the TrackIR official website on the supported products page! Hopefully that will give our favorite WWI flight sim more exposure and draw in a few more fans. Here is the link to the site so you can see the videos they posted. http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir/03-enhanced-games/game-over-flanders-fields.html Thanks to CJ for pointing out that the TrackIR site had no video to represent OFF:BH&H. Well done sir. Hellshade
  13. I think you are correct sir. /sigh. Why do they all have to pixelate the hell out of stuff? Drives me nuts. Hellshade
  14. Watch this space!

Indeed. I made sure to put in there some video footage of how much damage both an Alb and some of the 2 seaters can take with exceptionally long bursts that still did not result in a fire. The only reason I put in some quick kill shots was so that folks wouldn't get over confident thinking they were always going to be able to take a lot more damage than they used to before going down (potentially in flames). The fights are definately longer laster and harder usually. But the key word is 'usually'. Don't get too cocky because you can still get flammed in a heartbeat with the right hits! Great work HPW! Hellshade
  15. Herr Prop-Wasche has finished his Damage Model 2 mod for Over Flanders Fields and it is quite good. Here is the video Overview of the mod. If you're not exactly sure what it will do for you, check out the video and see what he has in store for us. Herr Prop-Wasche's Damage Model 2 Overview (2:13) 1080 HD Enjoy, Hellshade
  16. Watch this space!

I was able to finish the video Overview of HPWs Damage Model 2 mod late last night. The wife took the kids out for a few hours and that gave me time to get it all done, including the voice over, without any distractions. I'll post a link to it here as well as in the video sticky section. Herr Prop-Wasche's Damage Model 2 Overview (2:13) 1080 HD He has done a really great job and it's definately worth the time to download and install. Well done sir! Hellshade
  17. And that's exactly what I would prefer all of the Devs were doing. Only you guys can make P4 a reality. I appreciate the laser like focus on making the best even better. Things like this can be accomplished by the community. Thanks again to Camel Jockey for bringing the TrackIR site to my attention. Hellshade
  18. I'm trying a new video upload site. I'm comparing two of the same exact video "Plan B" (0:41) on both youtube and metacafe and I think metacafe is a little less pixelated and grainy than youtube, at least in full screen mode. What do you guys think? Is Metacafe a better quality site to view them on or do they look about the same to you? Plan B (0:41) 1080 HD - on Metacafe http://www.metacafe...._fields_plan_b/ Plan B (0:41) 1080 HD - on Youtube Hellshade PS The more I look at them both, the more I'm starting to think they look the same. /sigh. I hate how youtube turns highly detailed videos into watercolor art.
  19. Those are some beautiful pics guys! Nice work. Hellshade
  20. Watch this space!

N28? I only see up to N24s listed, even with HitR installed and fully patched. Am I missing something? Hellshade
  21. Churchill in UFO cover-up

I personally think that the aliens have already found us. However they were looking for other intelligent life in the universe and, judging by what they saw, decided to keep looking. Hellshade
  22. I filmed an 8 v 6 dogfight between Camels and Fokker DVIIs. After reviewing the footage, I thought it also made for an excellent demo of TrackIRs benefits in Over Flanders Fields air combat because there was a lot of looking around and it was pretty intense. So I grabbed just the first two minutes of the fight because it does a great job of showing off OFF:BH&Hs capabilities : AI Dogfighting skill, scenery & terrain, aircraft models and raw white knuckle flying excitement. I have submitted it to TrackIRs website in hopes they will add it to the Over Flanders Fields supported product list and we can be better represented there. Here it is. TrackIR OFF Demo video #2 (2:07) 1080 HD Enjoy, Hellshade by the way, this one has a number of mods combined in it. Creaghorns Sound Tweaks II and Ammo Mod HPWs Damage Model 2 UK Widowmakers Fokker DVII Red and Black skin
  23. I have submitted the following video to TrackIR website as a clip to be shown for using TrackIR in Over Flanders Fields. I'll probably do a second one eventually as well. This was just a few good scenes patched together quickly. I hope you like it. TrackIR OFF:BH&H Demo clip (2:08) 1080 HD Enjoy, Hellshade
  24. Watch this space!

HPW, Does this include a new Flight Model as well or is that an entirely separate project, sir? I can't wait to get my hands on this version for the campaign DM. I find the fights to be considerably more challenging when used in conjuction with Creaghorns smoke trailers only ammo mod. My apologies for the delay in getting your video out bud. I've knocked out a few quick video only ones, but yours is going to require full audio and that's pretty much an all day project. Last weekend was a total bust. I'm slated for Sunday to be completely off so hopefully I can finish crafting it then sir. Hellshade
  25. Churchill in UFO cover-up

I'm not worried. I figure any race of beings (real or imagined) smart enough to be able to traverse vast reaches of space to get to us either has no ill intent or is smart enough to realize they don't need to attack us. Just wait another century or two and we'll destroy ourselves. Then they can have the planet all to themselves without even putting up a fight. Unless of course they are just waiting for there to be a certain number of us (say, 8 billion) so they can begin harvesting us for food. Hellshade
