  1. OT--Prometheus

She recently played a gypsy in the 2. Guy-Ritchy-Sherlock Holmes.
  2. Found this picture in a website Carrick has posted today over at SimHQ.
  3. Yes, such pics are rather rare. What asthonished me was to see, how they have just nailed a few rather thin beams together to form a "crane" for the engine - great improvising those days.
  4. OT--Prometheus

So, in short: you didn't like it?
  5. Albatros fuselage artwork

Not in OFF, Shredward - or there must be missing skins in mine??? I guess you have already installed WOFF, and there - you revealed it now - it must be.
  6. There is even a Ford Model T available in QC. But a driven aircraft is more impressive surely. No better way to confuse the enemy - especially when you drive on the right!
  7. OT--Prometheus

I have only seen the trailer so far - that looked very promising, at least for the pictures.
  8. Albatros fuselage artwork

Boning's is the right one with the stripes. Thank you - great info, Quack! The artist really took quite some artistic freedom. I bet he added a beer mug to the monk's right hand. In the left he should be carrying a bible, but it looks more like a filled glass to me. Oh, please have a good look - I would also like to know more detailed about this Albatros and it's paint sheme.
  9. Okay, thanks - and now: what about the beer?
  10. Albatros fuselage artwork

The figure reminded me of the monk in the city arms of Muenchen, Bavaria. Could it be, that the artist has interpreted the monk very freely, and added a beer jug? Just an idea.
  11. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Update 15 June 2012 - 00:05 h Berlin time (= GMT + 1) FlybyPC, Scotland added - at last! Man, I'm sorry - I know you are here with us since so much longer - you should have made a noise. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  12. That's all you say? No cheering? No drinks?!? Tch!
  13. My Home is my Castle

Flyby, are you from Scotland? Damn, I couldn't even find you on the OFF Pilots Maps - am I senile, or are you really not in there yet??? In that case, please send me a PM with your town, and I'll add you at last - sorry about that!
  14. It's Olham's fault

Well, this is a crime I can live with. No need to link it - everyone can easily do it.
  15. Don't cry, OlPaint - they are all crash-proof, and will still appear on the pilot roster for the next missions. I don't know how they do it, but they hardly show a bruise. Only the Kaiser is very upset, because each scout costs about 70.000 Reichsmark. (A bargain it would be today, wouldn't it?)
  16. My Home is my Castle

Mosquitos??? Even in Scotland they are??? I've never been there yet, but will go one day. I only know Scotland from the great film "Local Hero".
  17. Corsair, I meant only a very short "warp", when you are almost at the last waypoint. It is only to make sure, that you hit the waypoint, which is hard manually. And only if you hit it, the mission will be regarded as successfully over; and your wingmen will fly off to their 2-mile-mark. I have made fine landings with my Jasta 2-Halberstadts.
  18. Don't know about others, but this fact is one of the strongest "immersion points" in "Over Flanders Fields" for me. The fact, that all the nations' air services are all doing their own timed operations, and that I can meet them, if I leave my patrol path and fly somewhere completely different - this fact only makes it like a real world. A reality factor I have so far missed in any other sim. Teaser! Swine!! Beast!!! You guys make me crazy with your carrots on a fishing rod!!! Raaaahhhh - hahahahaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
  19. Corsair, the last waypoint before the field is essential. You could try it and use your "warp" to get to it. And then you will see, that your wingmen all fly away in the same direction. Now you can either follow them, or land and wait (let the engine on, to prevent an exit). If you fly with them, they will lead you away 2 miles from the field. Then they turn round and make their landing approaches. Very rarely, they make a good landing. More often, they crash into tress or each other. But sometimes one or two make it. Bertincourt is a field where I saw great landings happening alright. That is a heartwarming sight!
  20. My Home is my Castle

I never had Haggis - but I would definitely try it. When the Scotch can survive, I can also. And who knows - perhaps it is even very tasty?
  21. My Home is my Castle

HPW, Haggis is a bit further north, beyond the Roman wall, I think. But you should try Shepperd's Pie! Hmmmmmm! .....
  22. Every now and then, an OFF flyer observes problems with his install. Files may get corrupted in many possible ways, and it is often hard to find out what it was, that ruined your day. A friend of mine recommended the use of a Back-up Program. With such a program (in my case ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE) you can back-up a partition, or even a whole drive. Now, although I usually have all games on D:Games, I put "Over Flanders Fields" on my C:Bootdrive. The reason: OFF writes files into other Windows folders on C:, and so, if I want to back everything up, I need these data too. Now I make a backup every three days or so, of the whole C: drive/partition. After three backups, I delete the oldest one; so I always have 2 backups of C. Whenever anything goes haywire (not only with OFF files - it also saved me, when I had Windows problems after updates etc.) - I write the Backup back onto C: and the problem is solved. The handling is very easy (my friend said, he recommended ACRONIS to me, because it was idiot proff - fine friends I have.
  23. My Home is my Castle

No need to apologise, Widow - that's one thing I like about the British - their humour. Even if it is often rough - it is also most often hitting the nail of truth. I learnt to know you in a "stampede of ranting humour" - I wouldn't recognise you any other way.
  24. I have seen other flights landing, but no idea about their takeoffs. Hasse Wind's advice is best - ask them there; they should see it then.
