  1. "Mmuahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!!!"
  2. You should wear red - red has a warning touch. This one's especially for Lou:
  3. What? You opened a beer tab? Can someone lead me to the wat... erh - beer, please?
  4. Each of you guys would have got my vote in an election. Good luck, Moderators!
  5. Please read every word of my post, Human Drone - that was not what I asked anyone to do. The difference of posting there or not is, wether the 'official forum' is alive or dead. We can make it alive.
  6. Evolution

I wonder what Manfred would say to that???
  7. Evolution

My very first air combat game (it cannot be called a simulation) was "Their Finest Hour" von LUKAS Games. The Battle of Britain in pixelated Messerschmidts. When I see the "screenshots" today, I can only wonder about how much my phantasy must have added!
  8. Calling Uncleal

Now let's not make too many words; his head is big enough already; in the end his "radar antenna" * may not fit anymore. (* TrackIR clip device) By the way, he was here most all the time; and Dave had already recognised him.
  9. Horrah!

Now that is great to know, Shredder! Come over to the mess, let me buy you a drink. We have Port, Ale or Brandy - make a choice. I'll have both.
  10. Calling Uncleal

Why it is "der Baum" (the tree - male), but "die Eiche" (the oak - female), and then "das Mädchen" (the maiden - neuter) - that's beyond any explanation. Yes, he was very famous here, and the main evening news had a report of his death, with the stations and achievements of his life. One of those voices beyond just "good quality".
  11. Who IS Uncleal?

Good one, Mike - there may be an "UncleAl" in many of us occasionally.
  12. Horrah!

Oh yes, indeed. Von Paulus could serve you some very excellent port, I guess. Let me invite you to a virtual Andechser Klosterbräu - a very tasty Bavarian beer.
  13. Horrah!

Ditto to the words of my Portugese friend!
  14. Calling Uncleal

Thank you, Human Drone, and don't feel ashamed - German is twenty times harder to learn than English. Thirty times rather. And "danke schoen" and "Gesundheit" are good to start with.
  15. HPW FM 2.0 is now available!

Okay, okay - I will definitely download it, HPW. Your previous work was very good IMHO. I don't mind if you slightly downgraded the D.II - it might have been too good before.
  16. Who IS Uncleal?

Hihihi - true, JFM, that's one of those things that could get one wondering...
  17. HPW FM 2.0 is now available!

Ah, yes, Hasse Wind - I remember it, but can make you a better one now. As for the stalling behaviour: the Pfalz D.IIIa did show a stall in tight turns, at least at low alt. (Or there they were dangerous). If it was completely eliminated, that would be wrong.
  18. HPW FM 2.0 is now available!

Just one short question to make sure: you have now REALLY finished all that work on the various FMs, HPW? Cause, I liked what you had done for some planes in the past, and if you are really ready with improvements, I will joyfully download the whole package. I guess there is an instruction with it?
  19. Who IS Uncleal?

Hauksbee, he was officially invited by admin Dave, to return - under his old name even. No need for masks and covers - only for SOME good will and behaviour. .
  20. Who IS Uncleal?

Not bad, Dave... Well, I hope he reads this, and will return as we know him best: as UncleAl - the unmasked 'Kinderschreck'. Mmuahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!
  21. Calling Uncleal

You mean, that Unc made all the way from Florida to Berlin, to let the true Olham disappear forever, and then to take over my computer incl. my pin number, only to be able to still be around in Combat Ace? Oh, and of course he would have studied all my posts I ever wrote, to get my half-educated "Deunglish" right. Well, that would be true devotion!
  22. Death of the Red Baron

    The resemblance is striking, indeed!
  23. Just checked it. General von Hoeppner became Kogenluft kommandierender General der Luftstreitkräfte) some time in 1916. He made this job from the "Grosses Hauptquartier" (big headquarter), which changed it's location several times. February 1916: Charleville-Mézières August 1916: Pleß (Silesia; now Poland) January 1917: Kreuznach and Bad Münster (Germany) March 1918: Spa (Belgium) Edit: Oh, and, ah... yes, Lou, that's how I also see it - two places, same war.
  24. Well, almost. For the German flyers, St. Omer or Bailleul would probably not be the right places, but I see what you mean. Thinking about it, I don't really know, where the KoGenLuft von Hoeppner had his quarter. Metz? Valenciennes? Does anybody know?
  25. Calling Uncleal

He'd find that hard to do. His language is like a fingerprint. Hey, this is a very friendly invitation of Dave, Unc - come out from behind the bush. No need for incognitos - just try your very best civilised behaviour; and try hard.
