  1. The markings on this map from September 1918 could have been made for bombers or aerial reconaissance. I thought of bombers first, because the main railway line in the red marked corridor is all marked with a pencil; so the main target could have been the railway, and the secondary target Cuerne aerodrome. If anyone knows more about this map, please tell us. .
  2. Lou, I was a bit worried about such an early end for the young Ritter - I wanted to see, how he would get on further north. He will eventually - if he still lives then - be in Northern Flanders, which will get really tough. Dej, I guess such immoral guys like JR would have found it hard in the time back then in Germany. Although - if he was so rich, he might have been possible then too.
  3. Damn, this time you misled me fine, Lou - can't say anymore; won't spoil it for other readers!
  4. I never had this problem, but my TrackIR often only starts at second attempt. When I use "Crapp Cleaner" before to check and clean "Registry", then it starts fine. "Reset OFF Manager" should help (first thing to do) - the Manager can easily get confused by wrong entries or files. If that fails, you should also reset CFS3, as cptroyce said. It is hardly ever really necessary to make a re-install.
  5. Ah, good old Jasta6! I did my "Full DiD Campaign" with them in the time you are flying now with them. I guess you are based at Ugny-l'Équippee right now? Enjoy the peaceful time, Andy - it will get harder and harder later on.
  6. New Sounds for you...

Okay, I'll check, Andy - thank you!
  7. New Sounds for you...

Did you improve any Albatros/Mercedes engine sounds beyond of what Creaghorn had already done?
  8. Mixture Control

Lou, I love to see, how immersion means for you to get as close to history as you can. And this RFC watch is a lucky one - it will not be lying in some museums drawers, waiting to get exposed some day that may never come - it is still getting used! I love it! And these cockpit watches were expensive, valuable parts back in those days. Cecil Lewis or Arthur Gould Lee - one of them took the cockpit watch from the special wooden casing, before he left his wrecked aircraft, and he wanted to keep it as a memory. Only one or two days later he received a written order, to return the cockpit watch!
  9. If you have difficulties in your dogfights, or if you want to improve your flying while fighting, these rules by two of the most famous Great War Pilots could help you - read & remember. Dicta Boelcke - English http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dicta_Boelcke Mannock's Rules http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Mannock#Mannock.27s_rules Dicta Boelcke - Deutsch http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luftkampftaktik
  10. Mixture Control

Lou, I knew your set up already from earlier photos, but now I noticed that stop watch. A nice detail for collecting your correct flight times, I guess?
  11. A fine work - the Terrier is wearing a CO's cap, it seems?
  12. P40 found in a desert.

Many aircraft went down in far out terrain, like the Lockheed Lightning "Glacier Girl", which landed on ice and snow in Greenland; or the Consolidated "Liberator", which had flown 400 mile out into the desert, where it crashlanded. Touching pictures.
  13. MAW Effects

I don't think you could see any lights from the enemy's trenches. Even lighting a cigarette had striktly to be done low, so snipers couldn't aim at you. What you had were white flares, bathing the pockmarked trenchscapes in a false light for a minute. They fired those every now and then to make sure the enemy wasn't underway in the cover of darkness.
  14. Check the preview movie - the QC even seems to be improved.
  15. MAW Effects

Some craft have them already now. But not my beloved Albatros... Any chance, devs?
  16. redpiano, to warp to the NEXT waypoint, you need to make sure it is assigned. Cause if you haven't passed the previous waypoint via "warp", the warping will bring you to that one. To select the waypoint you want to warp to, you need to have the TAC up. The command for shifting through the waypoints is "Shift + W", if I remember right. (See key commands chart by Homeboy in the Stickies above).
  17. This is a brand-new HAFU video - the note reads: Three RAF aircraft, an R.E.8 ("Harry Tate"), B.E.2f and a B.E.2c take to the gloomy skies for a patrol over the front lines. All three aircraft have been built (or in the case of the original 1917 B.E.2f, restored) by The Vintage Aviator Ltd in New Zealand, specialist World War One aircraft builders. For more info see: http://www.thevintageaviator.com Plus (OT): Spitfire TR.9 Trainer This video brings you an incredible Rolls Royce sound!
  18. Here is something quite different. This video is NOT made by me, but by Koncadia. He (or she) made it already in 2009, using a Zeppelin mission from the downloads. The Shape of Things to come - "Attack of the Zeppelins"
  19. Wasn't meant as a critique - just a tip among brothers in arms.
  20. Pips, the propeller turning speed might be visually effected by the frame rate of the camera. Like the stage coach wheels in Westerns, which even seem to be turning backwards. As for the gunners, I thought they always had to stand up, when using the guns. Firstly they had no turning turret like WW2 bombers, and then you could only fire downwards below your tailplane, when you were standing, I guess.
  21. Hellshade, I wouldn't want to be an opponent of you - you're shooting so well. I noticed, that you usually fire very short bursts - but against SPADs even you need to fire more rounds. Damn tough to kill, aren't they? I had to laugh, when you chased the SPAD and checked behind you, and almost flew into the French. Shiloh, in your vid I liked the view down on the Fokker formation very much! You could learn about shooting from Hellshade. Try more deflection shooting. A SPAD moves fast, so you need to fire your rounds a the spot, where the SPAD will be, when they arrive. I had to let some steam off today, after lots of carefully flown sorties with my two "very serious pilots" in Jasta 14 and Jasta 15 in the Marne region. So I took my Jasta 10 pilot for a flight in northern Flanders - where the real tough action is. I fly him still without all aids, but not too careful, to be honest. Here is a tableau of his deeds on 30 May 1917:
  22. Thanks, Shiloh - and yes: never underestimate any opponent, until he falls.
  23. Just found more Gotha photos from "Operation Türkenkreuz" on the website of Thomas Genth. There was also one Gotha nose art - a death head - which looks like on of Hans Rudi Giger's graphics. (Giger made the original "Alien"; he also made many graphics of that kind). http://www.thomasgen...oalb__e_s_.html
  24. OT: STALKER dev team making F2PMMO

Where exactly did you meet that "thing in the sewers"? I wonder, cause I have killed all and any monster in STALKER.
