Today I searched for Mccudden's book "Flying Fury", only to find rather expensive copies, or - the few cheaper ones - in rather bad condition. Is the book long out of print? And of so - why is it? When we can get the book by Julius Buckler in translation by Norman Franks - how can McCudden's book be out of print? Market saturized?

Redpiano, I guess, that's what they are working on, and why they postponed the release, I guess - because they want to improve many, many aspects - and they will do. So far you mostly came across quite negative, redpiano, you complain about this and that, and when you have issues no one else ever had yet (which may then be a result of wrong actions your end), you still beat the drum, when you don't get helped fast enough - perhaps you consider to also write about something you DO like? From time to time?

Guys, when Creaghorn goes deeply into the sound re-creation, I can assure you it will be great. He is a sportsman with good endurance, and so modest, that he will only come out with his sounds, when they are brilliant.

Sounds like you're not yet an OFF pilot, DBR, but want to become one? Well, anyway - welcome to OFF! You should try all sliders on "5" except "Terrain Detail", which looks great already on "3", and "Scenery Detail", which may be on "2" or "3" - if that works fine, you could still raise them. In "Workshops", you may also select for "Ground object density" = "low" or "medium", which might also unburden the CPU. With all these measures, OFF still looks perfectly fine - no losses really; just a little less "finesse".

Very strange - I never had that problem. In "Workshops", there are the options "Realistic Sound" and "Ambient Sound"; plus: you can make each seperate sound (engine, guns etc.) louder or lower.
