Ditto to both last answers. As for a download version, it seems to open doors wide for product piracy, if I got that right. Many other games + sims reacted to that with necessary online log-ins. Or they give away their basic sim for free, and then sell each and every plane seperately. OFF never did that yet, and I appreciate that way. Old fashioned? Yes. Like the whole idea of re-flying WW1 air combat.

Well, it's easy to find, if you type your search words into the frame at YouTube. Here is the Focke-Wulf 190 A type:

Well, that's the end of Rise of Flight.

Yes, as long as you don't fly below sea level. Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!! -
Guess you meant this aircraft. Very interesting too: they have a Heinkel He 100 fighter there; also a Heinkel He 162 "Salamander" ("Volksjäger") jet fighter; and more than one Messerschmidt Me 163 "Komet" (one in Japanese colours). There are even more interesting planes - have a look yourself.

Don't despair, Widow - I guess most English speaking people won't understand the words. -

I am glad, that the OFF devs had and still have a more logical concept of advancing their sim - logically and one firm step after the other. But: OFF is really so good, that it doesn't need to "laugh behind their hands" about any bad mistakes by any other team. I would in fact regard it as tragic, if a sim, with so much enthusiasm and time and energy - so much love - put into it, should finally fail due to wrong decisions or whatever. As a fan of WW1 air combat simulation, I could only feel sad for any such sim, if it would go down. I hope it will be possible, that they can both peacefully co-exist. They approach the whole stuff differently enough, so that I believe they should be able to. -

MAKO, it is a cameradery and marching song - even with a nice music - but it's the spirit of the song, that it was specificly THE SA-song, what makes me sick about it. -
Song in a YouTube Video causes nausea to me

Wow, that was a quick reaction: the video is not available in Germany anymore! Now I only wonder, if you other nations' sons can still get it shown? But even then - I'm glad it is "off limits" for the Germans now. -
Damn - then it will come out together with P4! You know P4 will be released in TWO WEEKS?

Okay, here comes. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=nNqal0ketgg And let me make that clear: I don't know much of fighter pilot Gerhard Barkhorn, and can't say anything about him. He wasn't even asked about the music, of course. It's just the use of this song, that makes me sick. -
Hey, I never felt lonely with all you OFFers in the forum. And when you have a look on the Europe map (post #1) I am anything but lonely. Hasse Wind might feel lonely up there in northern Finnland - not me.

The Trenches - Photos of well-made Dioramas

You're not telling me, that the French would post a GERMAN TANK outside that museum - in their own capital??? -

Oh yes - I visited the "Imperial War Museum" - could spend a week in there! -
After a fine fight against some SPAD VII from Escadrille 75, we got jumped at by no less but 9 more of them. There were obviously several aces in that squadron, and they kicked our butts. I was forced to put my damaged Albatros down near a country road east-southeast of Sivry-sur-Meuse. That was between the villages Moirey-Flabas-Crépion and Beaumont-en-Verdunois, at the road D125, as I could see in Google Maps. I could even walk along the site with that golden Google mannikin from Google Street View, and so I took a picture. Now it is a ploughed field in Google, while I landed on a meadow. But the invironement looked much like the real area in OFF. I love checking, where something happened. If you note the longitude and latitude from the inflight map, you can type that into Google Maps, and you'll get the site where you had been in OFF. I love it!

Visit your opponents' crash sites or places, where you had to put your kite down
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I have crossed twice through the Champagne, when I traveled through France, and I liked it. As you say, the farms are still far apart from each other, and I found space, and the modest beauty of a less god-spoiled landscape. My native homeland, Ostfriesland, has a similar charakter, though it is all flat heavy and rich clay and marshes. You need an eye for the details to enjoy it. Here is a photo that always strikes me - it tells perhaps something about the space and loneliness in the Champagne - a French soldier's grave that has remained untouched since the Great War. Here is a site I just found about the Great War in the Champagne: http://www.greatwardifferent.com/Great_War/Defence_in_Champagne/Defence_in_Champagne_01.htm . -
Just found this pic in the web. Doesn't the guy at the right side look much like Voss? Could he be a brother?

Yeah, indeed! Well, when you're gliding down, you can often still determine, where you want to land. Somewhere should be meadow. But then it may look better from higher up, and could be full of holes at closer sight. I think it was MvR who had once picked such a bad landing spot. -
Thanks, BirdDog, that was detailed and clear.

Update 9 February 2012 - 10:58 h Berlin time (= GMT + 1) Kaische, Germany, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread

Don't feel admonished - I am not sure if the version I have was the finished campaign version; I only thought about the others - that it would be nice, if it would be made available. But I understand it's part of the whole FM package, and that would only be annoying, if it had to be replaced with each new plane, again and again. So take your time to finish the others, and - hopefully - get it released before P4 comes out.

I just thought you talked about the Fokker D.VIII with the Gnome engine you had developed with me. Never heard of it again? But three wings? So you could get the Fokker Dr.1 closer to a flat turn? And hopefully get rid of those sometimes very strange tail first spins? PS: Hey, Kaische, I think you are not in the "OFF Forum Pilots Maps" yet? So, if you send me a PM with your town, I'll add you in there.
