  1. Here's my setup. I have made cutouts in the table, where the cables go down and continue under the board. Same for the mouse cable. The TrackIR is fixed to a rod about 5 inches behind the screen - works great now.
  2. Correct, Capitaine - they would not have written something so obviously indecent on their planes back then. My "Du kannst mich mal!" is very much borderlining - it doesn't use the "bad words" - "kiss my a**" and is not really translateable. In German it works, but in English it wouldn't look good: "You can ... my ...!"
  3. Welcome over Flanders fields, Sparrowhawk! The stuff you want to change should be in the ViewUI.xml - you find it here: C:(your computer's name) > AppData > Roaming > Microsoft > CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields But I cannot tell you which of the many lines are for the fonts. If you should find out, you could change them with Editor. You should back up the original file before any changes. The font colours would be hexadecimal number/letter combinations. The colour white would be FFFFFF.
  4. Well, even without wind, you may have gyroscopic effects on rotary engine planes; and slight rolling or drifting a bit sideways even on inline engine planes. The Sopwith Camel or the Fokker Dr.1 will not fly straight when you let the stick alone. But that is quite correct - the planes were like that.

  6. Well, I'm not sure about the "expert" - I just fly them. One important point about the Albatros D.III and D.V / D.Va, ataribaby - don't dive with full throttle, don't dive too steep and not too long - the lower wings start vibrating and can easily break then. Once you have found the right dive angle and speed, it won't be much of a problem though.
  7. Pilot Pics in Dossier

Ah, so you were the guy in High Noon, Lou ??? We got totally wrong credits for the German version then - confusion, confusion...
  8. Welcome over Flanders fields, ataribaby. You picked the Albatros? Well, let's drink a virtual Pilsener on this - good choice; beautiful plane. If you find something which you think isn't right, please ask - it may just need the correct set up; and most chaps around here will be there to help you. I'll add you to our "OFF Forum Pilots Maps" in the "Sticky Threads" above.
  9. Thanks for your TrackIR profile, Pol - I'll check it out tomorrow. Here is my profile, Flyby - throw it into here: Programs > NaturalPoint > TrackIR5 > profiles
  10. Time to travel to my hometown again, for two weeks. Time for Grünkohl mit Ammerländer Pinkel; Bratkartoffeln mit Granat; Seezunge mit Karoffelsalat; Matjes in Sahne mit Pellkartoffeln; Speckfetten grau Arten; Schellfisch in Buttersoße; Schnippelbohnen - ah, the delicious meals of home! I bet most of you don't know any of these - you don't know what you're missing! ... (... but you know what I'm talking about: the meals of home - you all have your own)
  11. Let's welcome the first OFF Forum Member in Saudi Arabia - welcome to this fine community, Abbay. Enjoy the flying over Flanders fields! Olham
  12. There was also the "Kurzschrift" (Steno) with shortages, which people back then used mixed with Sütterlin - then it gets real tough to read.
  13. OT: Back in two weeks

Why not? The fat is the best transporter for the flavours, isn't it? Thanks, HW! When I'm back, I'll care for slimming - Mmuahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!
  14. I'll give it a try, when I'm back from my holidays, elephant. No time now; must leave soon.
  15. OT: Back in two weeks

Oh, I love Nürnberger Bratwürstle! Hmmmmmm... Thanks, Creaghorn!
  16. Maybe kind of survival training there - like: when you can drink this and keep it inside yer, then the deserts are no more than just a cakewalk in the sunshine?
  17. Oh yes, I have! (Ghasp!) I thought it was a potion to help you to get through the Sahara by foot. Or to get a last round of a dying Formula One race car??? I still had a kind of black mud on my teeth two days after drinking it, although I brush my teeth at least twice a day. I admit, I gave it to a friend who like strong coffee. He was always very lethargic, and diagnosed being depressive. But after a cup of that stuff, it seemed to fall off of him, and he could move like everybody else.
  18. It only works, when you really have two seperate drives, I guess. If you have only one harddrive with the partitions C: and D:, it wouldn't gain anything.
  19. ...rattling and whistling like an olde steam engine, I suppose?
  20. It should make a difference, yes, simply because it mustn't all be read/written by just one arm for one drive disc. I always used to have even my games on my D: drive (or any drive, which doesn't contain Windows and Programs). What should also make a difference is the use of quad core CPU. CFS3 was designed before that, and I don't think it could make use of all four CPU cores - two perhaps? The other two cores can now provide all other necessary stuff, like driving TrackIR or FRAPS. The ultimate experience in gaining performance should be a SSD harddrive. They are a chip instead of a disc with a read/write arm. I will get me one in the new year hopefully, and report how much performance it will gain.
  21. Okay, what about tea then? In my homeland Ostfriesland we like a redbrown, malty blend of fine Assam teas. If you serve me a pot of strong tea, I'll be happy.
  22. PS: ...that was for Winder, Shredward, RexHannover, Paarma, Sandbagger, Makai and all other devels too, of course.
  23. Abbay, I'm not sure if you drink any alcohol yourself, but the boys here are used to celebrate every newcomer with a couple of drinks. Since I don't drink anymore, I will make do with a virtual Warsteiner Pilsener. Make it large - when I only drink a virtual drink, it should at least be large one.
  24. OT: WTF do I do here in BF3?

I guess I missed to find something. Happened before. I'll just search all buildings again and and kill everybody with a red target marker. Yesterday I killed a Chimera. They last a while in normal gunfire, but I remembered I had those M203 granade thrower. Hit it right in the mouth. It immediately stopped being so aggressive. Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!
