  1. Hihihi! You - the makers of OFF - must be thinking something like: Rats - not that much reaction on our video! Are people even still interested? I think I can assure you: yes, we all are - despite any "other sims".* But we don't know what to write anymore, after all the "aaaahs!" and "ooooohhhs!" we wrote about all the previous preview screenshots - many are not as wordy as I am. And now is a hectic time of year - the whole rush towards Xmas; at work it gets real mad and you need to find and buy all the presents etc. You could of course - to get better noticed - release more videos. I wouldn't mind at all! Mmuahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!! (* even when there are other pearls - OFF is the majestic jewel among them) .
  2. So you know them too, Hauksbee? Yeah, they were really killing. After the worst of them all, I had a "mind-expanding experience" without any additional drugs. I lived at a friends flat in Berlin for the 3 weeks of the whole building up. When I came home after the last work was done, I was totally finished. I was over-tired, but afraid of sleeping. So I asked him to make a mild tea and put some gentle, quiet music on, which he did. Then, when I tried to sleep a bit, on the sofa, it went nasty. As soon as I had closed my eyes, the "inner vision" was: my sofa free floating in space - with nothing around me - only the stars, lightyears away. And now my sofa with me on it, began a roaring descend, a screaming dive into the unknown, head first! I was awake immediately, and Frank asked, what I had. I tried to describe it, and he gave me a funny look with a doubtful smile. My next attempt to sleep ended the same way, and I went through that horror three times, before I finally fell into a deep, dreamless slumber. LSD? Who needs LSD, when you can work in trade fair design? Mmuahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!!
  3. off manager

TrackIR works fine on Windows 7 (32bit) with OFF. I found out, that I must sometimes press the TrackIR-Icon several times, until it "fires up", but then it works.
  4. ...and he really looks like that!
  5. off manager

Runs fine in Windows 7. You might have made a mistake during your installation? Make sure you followed all exactly - see here: http://overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm See under "Installation & Graphics" and "Windows Vista & Win 7"
  6. You always wanted a CD with Matt Milne's OFF Themes? Here's how to get there. Open your Windows Explorer. Open your main OBD folder there. In the upper right corner of the Windows Explorer you see the "search" frame. Type in there: *music.wav (Make sure you have the asterisk before the word "music") Now you should see all the music WAV files from OBD. You may listen through them all by double-clicking on a file. You'll find, that the same music may have been used under two or three names. Select the ones you want, and copy them to desktop, or to a music folder you have. Now you burn the desired tracks with a CD burn program like JetAudio or NERO etc. Enjoy!
  7. A classic! I could burst out loud when he comes to: "Oh, I see - the food is hot?"

  9. gaw, as far as I could see, P3 already has subtle head turn (30° ?) left and right. But maybe more is possible?
  10. Mmuahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!!
  11. Nope. I mean: no, you are not the only one - could be so.
  12. I wonder if they mean that seriously? After all, if I can just PLAY the Great War without getting wounded or killed, and without killing anyone, even my last well-conserved boyish brain cell wouldn't think of going to war in reality.
  13. My pleasure, gaw. You can use that way for any files you search, when you only know the file type/ending, and where to search. So, if you know, you had Jpegs on your D: drive for example, you select the D: drive in Explorer, and type into the search frame: *.jpg ...and it should show you all Jpegs you have anywhere on D: - I learnt it from a friend, and I'm glad to pass it on.
  14. I highly recommend to everyone here: use the highest (720p) resolution and the "Pause" button in YouTube, when it comes to the new OFF Campaign Manager and QuickCombat! Boy, the whole decent style! How much "closer" will it all feel! ... - In "QuickCombat" you can select fighters PLUS two-seaters now - so you could fly an escort or an attack on an escorted flight! - The new evasive flying should make it harder to hit an opponent. - Did I see correctly landing aircraft??? I couldn't resist and made a tableau - read the text bits, guys - we're in for something great!
  15. CaptSopwith, in the early 80s I have been working a lot in trade fair design. Now, in that business you are absolutely blown up, if you should not get finished to the hour, when the gates are opened for the public. The last 10 days before this date, we usually worked between 12 and 16 hours. The last "day" often had 32 hours. We lived on coffee to keep us awake, and beer to settle our nerves - an unholy mix (not to be followed!). The last hours I had grainy sand on my brain, which trickled forth and back at every headmovement. I controlled my face in a mirror to make sure, that there were no cobwebs on it, but I had just turned away from it, and they were there again. When I rode home in the Underground, I fell asleep standing, clutched to the hold rod; people were laughing at me, when they saw it. But we always made it. This I wish you too - you will later talk about it like a heroe from a battle. (Damn, 5 minutes lost from reading this - back to the books, my friend!) .
  16. Hey, good idea, Dej - or that the tracks are easy to find on the OFF-DVD, so we can make us an own CD of them? On the other hand - I'll play OFF so often, that I'l hear them in their right context almost every day anyway. I said it before, but the OFF Theme has still not lost a bit on me until this day, and I can't even say that for Hans Zimmer's "Gladiator" themes, which I do like a lot - they have a touch of "schmaltzyness", which the OFF Theme doesn't have - it is respectfully genuine.
  17. Inspired by the post "Camel", I took a little trip south from Sierentz into Switzerland. When I reached a town with a river running through it, I paused and noted the coordinates from the inflight map. Later I went to Google Maps and checked them. The green dart in the satelite pic is the position I had, when I took the above screenshot. The blue angle is my view angle. I find it always asthonishing, how landmarks you see in flight are really in their correct position according to Google Satelite Maps.
  18. Damn, that comes from always changing the avatars, Herrgottnochmal!!! I had thought it was Dej! (I was really asthonished about Dej flying a German campaign in Sierentz... Holidays? Yeah, why not? ... Dumdidumm; my brain is like a sieve, didumm! ...) Hasse Wind Dej ...only their mother would know who is who!
  19. Yes, the medals are fine!! Matt definitely has the right feeling for music for this work! I hope you guys will also keep the P3 main theme in the mix? I'd miss it.
  20. Gee, I have just "studied" the new OFF Campaign Manager, and it tops my highest expectations! Great documents and maps - and it has such a dignified look. Can one say that? - you know what I mean, guys - this beautifully designed Campaign Manager makes one feel 94 years back in time - and it pays respect to all the WW1 flyers wonderfully. Superb!!!
  21. Damn, did you "cigar smokers" see what I saw? Hey, the planes, the cockpits, the alley ways neatly northern European - I must see it again! (Whoosh!)
  22. Hey, then you must be eating with Hasse Wind in the same mess? He has a Roland pilot there!
  23. I didn't land. They'd first have to get me.
  24. Yes, indeed. In nicer weather, I might have flown on to Italy. If you press your key for "Zoom out", the inflight map shows more and more - until Italy appears.
