  1. NEW LOWER PRICES for OFF

    Yeah, nice try, Lou.
  2. Ah, alright, thank you. But isn't it faked quite well? Looks very severe to me; very convincing. Maybe they should have added a bit of motion, like this?
  3. Of course, Lou - yours are even original, as far as I know, while I think the above is a replica. You sure know how to live your passion to the full, Sir - respect!
  4. NEW LOWER PRICES for OFF

You should perhaps have added, that Winder recently said, Phase 4 would most likely not come out this year. That makes it even more worth to get BH&H and HitR now.
  5. Well, the S.E.5a and the SPAD XIII were very strong designs, and their inline engines provided them with greater speed than any German design had. But definitely, a better education for fighter pilots was, what made the Germans superiour early on, and what the Allied later caught up with. That, and the sheer numerical superiority, made it a lost case for the Germans. But what makes me really sad - and really angry - is the refusal of parachutes for the flyers, simply because one feared that they would abandon their damaged aircraft too easily. The Germans later ONLY got them, because the qualified pilots became more and more rare. How cynical that is!
  6. WWI Color Pictures...

    An excellent photo!
  7. Here are some more pics - Anthony Fokker with Kurt Wolff and MvR; and with Werner Voss. ...and A. Fokker 1912:
  8. Got me two black notebooks like these, with black stretch bands to hold them closed. They have a very soft high quality paper, which I can draw or write on with an ink pen. These are my new pilot notebooks now, and it is real fun to use them, to write in them. Seems I'm coming to the age, where you enjoy such minor details.
  9. I'm note writing diaries - I use these books for my pilots' notes. About the blonde next door, you should (perhaps) find other ways to get in touch?
  10. Fine stuff - I'll copy all drawings onto my rig. Thanks for posting, Pips!
  11. WWI Color Pictures...

    Here's a website with original colour photos from 1917 and 1918: http://www.worldwaronecolorphotos.com/
  12. Monitor Problem

Damn, we were so young back when the "Rats" played that song...
  13. gotha bomber

Welcome to OFF, blackbaron! You could download the user-built mission "Gothas along the Thames!" by RAF_Louvert. There you'd have to intercept the big bombers with S.E.5a from Sutton Farm, England. So you see, at least as AI craft they DO work in OFF. In the new Phase 4, we will be able to even fly them. http://combatace.com/files/file/8988-gothas-along-the-thames/ Or fly "Olham's Gotha Escort Mission", also made by RAF_Louvert - here you escort Gothas in a German Albatros scout. http://combatace.com/files/file/11352-olhams-gotha-escort-mission/ If you send me a PM with your hometown & country/state, I'd like to add you to our "OFF Forum Pilots Maps".
  14. The Aussie tourist board

Oh yeah, the answers are really great!
  15. Monitor Problem

Now you could grief about that disaster, Flyby - or tell your lady, that unfortunately you need a new graphic card. You could get a better one second hand, maybe?
  16. That's why guns are not allowed in British "Darts" - too easy.
  17. OFF Forum Pilots Maps

Update 7 November 2011 - 19:10 h Berlin time (= GMT + 1) lanny, Texas, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  18. Three of my favourite things

Lord Flashheart is doing TV commercials since the Great War???
  19. A new skin is almost finished after 4 hours concentrated work and corrections for the distortions etc. It is - I bet no one would have guessed it - another Albatros D.V skin, but this time for the early D.V with the hunchback. I wanted to do something a bit more of a design, not just the emblem/colour band stuff. A design of a proud, young ace - nowadays he would perhaps have a pimped out car? What do you guys say? If at least 5 people here say they want to use it, I will upload it.
  20. Thank you, Lou! If I survive until early July 1917, I will fly it with Jasta 32 (right now, 9 May, we still fly the D.II).
  21. "Mmuahahahahahahahaaaaaa!!!!"
  22. See also the editor's page here: http://www.paquet.li/bd/catalogue/85-le-grand-duc-luxe-3
  23. Just google pictures for the author and illustrator names: Yann Hugault and you should get some titles, like "Le Grand Duc". Here are two covers (it must be a series):
  24. Wise words indeed!

Hihihi - in my life I often used the sixth line!
