  1. The list of books to get is growing longer again. I'd like to read McCudden. Will do, after Cecil Lewis.
  2. You guys would have fitted well into Hitler's "Rammjäger"-Department - the "Wilde Sau"-boys!
  3. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Perhaps the only way for some of the cheaper Chicken Barbeques to survive?
  4. "Beasztly Hunz? Vhere are beasztly Hunz? Vee do nott intend to do you any harm you vould nott do to us?!?"
  5. Do they have a water closet on board, or a shower?
  6. Ah, good to hear - cause that was exactly what I had feared most! Take good care, Lou, and let the moose pass the road! I keep my fingers crossed, that your work may settle down a bit! Please send a photo from you in any highway coffeeshop (ask the waitress to take it for your friends!).
  7. "Ah, Kamikaze, my yellow friend!..."
  8. Never heard of this film

Thought I had answered it in post #10 - I don't think that you notice in the trouble of a dogfight, if another pilot spares your life. And if he hadn't noticed - yes, he would have shot him down. Now, what if he HAD noticed? At the time of that famous duel, I guess he was still the gentleman to spare Hawker's life. Later he became harder - can't say what he would have done then...
  9. Does P4 get it's own name?

"Height of Glory" is good indeed, Crossbones! Over Flanders Fields "Skies of Destiny" Over Flanders Fields "Fate & Glory"
  10. This was posted before, but maybe long ago. This site brings you all the battles of the Western Front on maps - enjoy! http://www.firstworl...esternfront.htm Note: at the bottom click on "Click here" for many more detailed maps. .
  11. Does P4 get it's own name?

Over Flanders Fields "War Zone Sky" Over Flanders Fields "Give Rudder!"
  12. Strange - I can't get Google maps to show the area again. I typed it in as yesterday, but no way - I don't get anywhere???
  13. I just typed in your Longitude and Latitude, and I got a green marker; and below that marker, there is a strange rectangular area. Have a new look in Google maps, zoom out if necessary.
  14. The videos are unfortunately not of the best quality, but it is still amazing to see how a SPAD XIII was built. http://www.museodelp...lo=Lo-SPAD-XIII SPAD XIII in flight
  15. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Well, if I couldn't have an Albatros, I'd love to be a Dragon Rider.
  16. Well, after all, the CFS3 map was for WW2 - could it be a WW2 area, which doesn't exist anymore?
  17. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Thank you, Hellshade and Bullet - it's on the top of the list!(Well, right below P4 of course!).
  18. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Thanks a lot for all the good info, Hellshade. Not being wealthy, I'll wait 3 weeks.
  19. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

Hellshade, would you say the other "Elder Scroll" games would still be of an acceptable graphic quality? Should one who is totally new to this RPG play the others first? Or is it a new story now?
  20. OT: Attention Fantasy RPG Fans

This is looking very good, Hellshade - like something for long winter eves. How is the movement & fighting control there? I have bought "Dragon Age" recently, but didn't like the way of the controls.
  21. Never heard of this film

I think that "chivalry" in a war may be a nice idea early on, which must get lost, when you face the truth. It may be an idea of those far behind the lines, or those who only read about war in a book. Once you get into the whole sh*t, these "finer sentiments" will quickly wear off (if you ever had them), when you see comrades die. They were soldiers at war, and they shot at the opponent to kill him. So why should they stop shooting, when his aircraft is only yet half damaged? To save a crew's life, who have made an emergency landing, would be almost arrogant pride in the eyes of the soldiers in the trenches; it would be playing god. Like "I decide, who deserves to live, or to die." Still though, many people are not "natural soldiers". Udet first had to overcome the hesitation to attack an enemy aircraft. And some may never have really tried to bring an enemy craft down.
  22. Never heard of this film

MvR didn't often get into such a situation surely. And if you do, you don't know the other one may have spared your life. He might have a gun jam. Or be out of ammo. How could you judge? It is said about Guynemer, that he spared Udet's life, when he had a gun jam. But who knows? Here is the video about that event:
  23. ....and make some pictures! You made me curious now.
  24. Never heard of this film

Not really, Widow! The movie poster did look great and inviting though. But the second one shows "Spandaus" firing in two different directions, and the Dreidecker doesn't seem to have wings and wingstruts at all!
  25. Ooops - got that wrong. NE - could only be Tournai then? How far north-east?
