You got every right to do so, Hasse Wind. You're not entitled to get them, but you have every right to request them. And a French two-seater would cause more commotion in the Marne region, round Verdun, and in the Alsace. (You see, I'm hoping to get your assistance some day, when I will begin to ask louder for a Roland D.VI).

That's all forgiveable compared to the Germenglish in Hollywood movies. "Ze Dsherrmans vill vinn ze varr!" Mmuahahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!

Lou, that was an outstanding fine version of a poem about an outstanding community. Thank you, Sir! -
You may have to make do with this footage until they are ready. You may know the first one already, I think. Rumpler Recon Craft over Laon Rumpler C.V II taking off

Does anyone know his "Hamlet"? (I don't yet). I heard it was good? I liked him best in "Lethal Weapon". That's a field he knows to plough.

Shiloh, I guess you had all your bad luck used up, and so the satelite missed you. I hope your cat will return. And that the car driver had an insurance. Here's a laptop sketch to show you: you're not the only one:

Damn, you are right - us happy few! :dance2: Now that you pointed that out to me, I must admit that I missed an occasion like this already twice: my 5.000st and my 10.000st post. But that must be, because I'm such a talkative - or must I say: writeative? Well, anyway - definitely an addict of OFF, and this of unique place with these great people. Cheers to you, Widow, olde chap - woof, woof! -

Yeah, elephant, I think the scorpio is such a lethal looking sign, that it is used a lot. But perhaps you can find a more old fashioned, more naive kind of illustration? -
Hmm - seems the fire fighters have come a long way, while the dogs - well, remained dogs.

End of April 1918. I made me this rather simplistic skin with my zodiac sign, the ram; to fly with Josef Jakobs and Carl Degelow in the black Jagdstaffel 7. -
Haven't watched this myself yet, but I wonder if this is what you meant, Flyby? 2oth Century Battlefields: Ep 1 "1918 Western Front" 1/6 http://youtu.be/rVarOtDZ7aE 2/6 http://youtu.be/9Gf0ZvVhYr0 3/6 http://youtu.be/A7lPssWoV0E 4/6 http://youtu.be/jKbU9tcFW4Q 5/6 http://youtu.be/FFpysSLgMzw 6/6 http://youtu.be/nobl_MFANGY

WW1 Aviation History In Color HD - it's in French, but even if you don't understand it it is well worth to watch. Enjoy! Part One Part Two

My tip, Lederhosen, is simply this: Create another pilot in 1918, in an active area (west of Cambrai for example). You shall definitely get involved into air combat soon and can see, if it works. As Creaghorn pointed out, even thin layers of vapour can hide you from the AI's view sometimes. So you should also deactivate HPW's weather/cloud mod, until you see fights and tracers. Now you could re-activate the mod, and test with the same "action-pilot". If you see fighting and tracers, you have the proof that it works alright, and that the 1916 pilot just is flying in a quiet area, or was lucky all the time.

I have seen light grey trails behind other planes; not sure if it was fuel. With a fuel leakage, you would almost certainly catch fire, so you need to cut the engine immediately and perform a glide down to earth. I have had fire popping up after the tank being hit. My Albatros D.II's engine recently got hit and sounded clunky, without cutting out immediately. Fuel was okay, no leakage. (Press F5 to check). So I fought down my Nieuport 24 and then turned towards our nearby field. The engine soon sounded weaker and weaker, and finally cut out. I guess that was an oil leakage.

That sounds like a challenging new job, Bullet. And that fire engine looks like so neat, as if it could even supply the men with soft ice in hot summers. Congrats!

Seeing through some alternative music videos, I just found this one from Dove: a video with a choreography of biplanes - like a strange English dream. Enjoy.

Yeah, LSD come to mind... That's what I like about it - you know it can't be true, but all model movements plus camera angles appear so realisticly. British rock/pop - and the videos to the songs - are hard to beat.
-
I posted this one before, but it fits somehow - I wonder how they made this.

It's cute indeed, Widowmaker. I'll use it for a "Happy Birthday"-Card - thanks for sharing.
-
Is it really several months already, since I last saw you here? Jeeze, the time flies! But you could be right. I have meanwhile finished two Louisiana thrillers, and I'm a slow reader. So, welcome back, Bullet!

A sweet commercial!

Isn't that the true situation today? "I'm afraid not..." These fellers were far ahead of their time.

Four More WWI Aviation Books Land On My Shelves

That's correct, Lou - his emblem was a white stag. I looked into AbeBooks.de, but no find. Must be a rare one. -
Irfanview is perfect for looking through the .dds skins, Lewie.
