  1. I don't know the answer, why I get the ace skins, but I can describe, what I did. After activating the mods, I got two error messages. When I ignored those and went on to the "Briefing" menue, I got a mission with an idiotic flight path (to Wales). So I didn't use it, but I pressed "Advance time" instead. The next mission I got was looking normal, and so pressed "Go to field". There I found the ace skins were used. Now I guessed, that the mods might not work, but I'm pretty sure they did, cause I have flown the Albatros D.V a lot recently, and now it felt really different. It seemed was quite a bit heavier in the controls, but appeared somehow stronger. (I have yet to take her to high altitudes to see, how she is there).
  2. Nope - I don't have your problems, guys - for me it is working fine, without all that circumstance. Mmuahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!! By the way - your FM for the D.V is great. She is heavier in the controls, but also feels stronger. Next I'll test her at high altitude.
  3. Well, I am flying OFF for some years now, and saw these situations: A. I have wingmen around me and make a kill - and get a claims form B. I had wingmen with me, but got driven away from them so far that I can't see them any more; I made a kill - but either get no claims form, or the form comes up, but the claim is getting rated as "Erroneus" C: I make the first kill with wingmen near me, and later a second, with no one near - I get a claim form and can fill in the first kill; but when I fill in the second, it is rated "Erroneus". After deleting the second line, the claim is accepted To me, that indicates, that the OFF Manager is well aware of my company.
  4. Unc got banned and removed from this forum for repeated bad behaviour, Carrick - see here: http://combatace.com/topic/66457-did-anyone-see-uncleal-here-recently/page__view__findpost__p__511236
  5. Herr Prop-Wasche, I just had this idea: What would happen, if one would move all the ace skins into the MODS folder and activate them there? .

  7. OT Got my Job :)

Congrats, old chap! A job is hard to get in these times - keep the foot in door, m8!
  8. Gaw, the idea of compiling a new "Tips & Cheats" sticky is a good one, but everyone seems to be either in the holidays still, or too busy with work & family. As for the BOC membership: go to the BOC thread here: http://combatace.com/topic/66089-the-barmy-offers-club/page__view__findpost__p__507458 ...and select at least four of the points you can agree with, or you may even write new ones. Do that in the same thread, and I'm sure we will regard you as "barmy enough" to give you the badge, Sir.
  9. Guys, Herr Prop-Wasche and also Winder are already aware of this, and seeking for a workaround. As it is now, the new FM and DM are still great. You just need to shoot a wing of the damn flamers to bring them really down. The claim file does not come up, when a) the craft never crashed b) when you have no witnesses near you
  10. It's weird - I made several attempts to provoke the "Error Messages" again, but they didn't come anymore. First I tried to remove the mods, started the sim, went into the briefing, left the sim again, activated the mods, and restarted the sim. I got normal briefings/flight paths now, and no messages. The I removed the mods, re-started Windows, and then repeated the above. But nothing. It just works now. Sorry - I wish I had made a screen print.
  11. They were from OFF or CFS3. Unfortunately, I didn't make a screenshot. But perhaps I can provoke them to happen again. Would you like to see them?
  12. Chiseled on a gravestone, it is rather a sad thing to see, but alive in OFF, it can be a great joy: to be an unknown airman yet. For doing some testing of Herr Prop-Wasche's FM and DM mods, I didn't want to risk a veteran pilot of mine, and chose the young Feldwebel Mahlo at Jasta 14, in April 1917. Weather was a dream - in April! - and our flying took place in a great scenery (thanks again, Winder - you're like God's own Gardener in OFF!). Even when we got under attack, I felt easy and took it in a sportive way - I was just not burdened by the many hours and achievements my more "serious" pilot would risk. Herr Prop-Wasche's DM is really great - it took me quite some time to bring down my opponent, and I guess, I had some help from the Flak. Combined with Creaghorn's hard to see tracers, it was so much more of a real dog- fight; the French was winding and squirming like a toad; and as long as I didn't hit any vital parts or the pilot, he would fly on. Well done, HPW - very good! Herr Prop-Wasche's FM was not yet very noticible for myself in the Albatros D.II - maybe there were only minor changes made? - but I saw, that the Nieuport behaved quite different. The French didn't simply fall down like a tumbling leaf, when he was finished, nor did he perform that "tail-first" sinking to the deck. He actually even landed his smoking craft with a left wing tip missing! I couldn't shoot at him anymore after all the damage and was very happy, when he landed at Chery- les-Pouilly airfield (yes, he really landed on the field; not just in a landscape!). Unfortunately he crashed into a tent and blew up - maybe it was his final strike on us? I will continue the testing; it is very convincing so far. What is most funny - after re-installing JSGME Mod Enabler, my ACE SKINS DO ALL SHOW! More later on. Here are the pictures: http://combatace.com/topic/37244-screen-shots-videos-media-off-posters/page__view__findpost__p__513194 .
  13. Our Albatros D.V from Jasta 2 clashed with Sopwith Pup from RFC-66. Our flight was 1.000 feet higher than the Pups. The Albatros - at an altitude of only 9.000 feet - behaved like running on tar or water, while the Pups shot down one after the other. When I saw, that the craft was useless at that altitude, I thought, I'd trick the sim and dive for 3.000 and fight the Pups there then. But diving at an angle of ca. 30°, the Pups (max. speed 171 km/h) were even faster than the D.V (180 km/h), caught up with my craft and shot me up. I know there were several aces among them, but did they also fly highly tuned engines on rocket fuel, while some saboteurs had filled sugar in our tanks, or what the heck was this meant to be???
  14. MODS_elephant Uploaded

Thank you for those fine mods - they came just right for today's flights, elephant!
  15. I will report later, but I can now say, that I am getting your FMs and the ace skins, Herr Prop-Wasche.
  16. My JSGME is Version v2.2.0.120 - maybe an old version?
  17. Thanks, elephant! I like your "moving pictures" - ah, it's always good to see Albatros in action!
  18. WWMD?

The best tricks are often the simplest - good one, Hellshade!
  19. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

Winder, I heard from JFM, that "Cliffs of Dover" still is a drag. The fraps go underground, the lower you fly - because of the detailed scenery surely. I believe you, that you could build much more complex trees. But that is perhaps something for the SIMS, when they plant a park there. In a flight sim, it would be rather counter-productive to enjoy brilliant trees on the cost of frame rates.
  20. A joyride in superb weather - and a fight, which ended with the forced landing of my opponent at Chery-les-Pouilly airfield. Not just anywhere in the green - no, on a real airfield! That was fun!
  21. They should be here, Lewie: http://overflandersfields.com/ .
  22. It isn't comforting to find out, that the "error" is most often the bloke in front of the monitor...
  23. OT Beautiful Comeback

The problem I see in this "dogfight" is, that the teacher is an intellectual person, while that Larry isn't. So she used her intellect like a razor-sharp blade against him and literally cut him to pieces. Now some kids like this Larry may go and get their daddy's gun and react with a weapon they know to handle. We could do with some more wisdom in our world, I guess. I'm not wise myself, so I don't know what a wise man would have done. But could you imagine the Dalaih Lama answering a guy as Larry like this? Would a Samurai use his sword against an obvious dumbbell, who tried to insult him? Could the dumbbell even find anything, that could truely insult the Samurai?
  24. OT Beautiful Comeback

Uuuuuuhh - he shouldn't have moved the chin where the fist was flying! ...7...8...9...10! Total knock-out!
  25. P4 DEVELOPMENT SCREENSHOTS

Yes, of course - but first he need to hit it. But I think you're right - the speed of a Mosquito is not yet so high, that he wouldn't get a chance to aim and shoot at the Albatros. But maybe we should go BACK TO TOPIC.
