Flying the Albatros - Kermit Weeks' "Kermie Cam" videos
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Tony, I found a great video filmed in the cockpit during takeoff and flight of a Mosquito. I put it into the "Mossie" thread. -

Holy Schnicky - an airworthy Mosquito! Were the wings also made of wood and plywood? Didn't know that. But it explains why that beasty was so fast! My dad said, most German fighters could not catch it. So you have two airworthy Rolls-Royce Merlin engines too? Boy, you MUST make a video of the outdoor tests and her maiden flight, Tony - that should be great to watch! I bet you guys will be proud as can be, when this beauty will lift off! -
Hello, Javito - good you are still around! How about some more info from your end? Where have you been? What are you doing?

Here it's even easier - you just copy the YOUTUBE address and throw it into your post, Hauksbee.

Yeah, not sure if he could also use a "normal" lense camera, Hauksbee - and why he uses this one. GASCAN, the engine is also a replica built by THE VINTAGE AVIATOR. They took an original MERCEDES engine apart and reproduced every part of it. That way they were able to build 3 or 4 Albatros D.Va, and 1 Albatros D.II so far. Here is a link - take the time and check out all their pages - there is so much to see! http://thevintageaviator.co.nz/projects/engines/mercedes-engine/merc180-report -
The Pup is one of my favourite British planes to fly in WOFF; she is such a cute and easy-going butterfly, isn't she? Great video, Hauksbee - thanks for sharing!

Are you saying that you guys are building an AIRWORTHY "Mosquito"?!? I had always thought this is gonna be a museum mockup replica, Tony. -
No idea, Jim, except: switch on LABELS, set to "Activity" - then you'd see LABELS for all planes within a distance of 20 - 25 miles (which you probably already did).

Well, at least they hand it back to you - Mmuahahahahaaa!!!

Here is a link to a Google images search for lactose-free milk. Seems to exist at least in England and/or America. Not sure about South Africa though... https://www.google.de/search?q=lactose-free+milk&safe=off&biw=1600&bih=788&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0CCgQsARqFQoTCPqjnYSlqMgCFQnWFAodxI8GOg

Thanks for that graphic, Hauksbee - I hadn't found it myself! Here's an answer about the Nullzone from a sim forum: RE: What is null zone? The size of the zone in which your joystick is centered; a large null zone will mean you have to move your stick a lot to get any movement in the controls, a small null zone will mean that you will use the controls almost the whole time, unless exactly (depending on the size of your null zone) centered. I suggest you leave it at default, like me. Works well. D@vid

SPAD's & D.VII's...and joystick settings.
Olham replied to Hauksbee's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Poor little TrackIR - you will hopefully get it set up again soon, Hauksbee - it makes such a big difference. I have made my profile smoother now, and it seems perfect for me for WW1. -
Well, let's fight for it then! Hussah! My favourite way of eating bananas is to drink them - as a smoothie. I put 1 - 2 bananas in the blender (mixer), add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 cup of pure tight yoghurt, 1 cup of grained almonds, 2 - 3 cups of orange juice, and blend that. Then I add lactose-free milk (2 - 4 cups) and blend that. Hmmmm - a fluid breakfast!

In the other forum I believe to have seen a thread, where they mentioned the "Nullzone" settings. But I'm sorry - I don't know where to set it up. Tried it with "Wind: off" ? (Workshop) Are you sure you don't have a Force Feedback stick ?

The CGI Air Combat Art by Japanese Artist Masaru Tochibayashi (aka "Tochy")

Couldn't find out much about him yet. But here is a link with more of his works. The 3 parts of "The Battle of Santa Cruz" are great IMHO. http://www.yourepeat.com/watch/?v=2QvNQS7HLYE -

New Red Baron sim in 2016? I honestly doubt it.
Olham replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Well, reading that article, I wonder how Slye will try to get those plans and his ideas of a less stressful development under one hat, as we say in Germany. But sure: give the man a chance to surprise everyone. -

However - I need only one great WW1 air combat sim with immersive single player campaigns - and WOFF gives me that. But then I never flew "Red Baron 3D" - I guess those who did, have their great memories. -
A rather sad thought about the WWI campaign medals
Olham replied to RAF_Louvert's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Lou, I am sure that all those medals that find their ways to Hasse or you, are in the best of hands. It is a shame that many families seem to sell them, but it's good that you can get them that way. -

Hauksbee, here are armament data from WIKIPEDIA: Me 262 A-1a „Schwalbe“ Interceptor Junkers_Jumo_004-jet engines 4 machine cannons, caliber 30 mm - the upper two cannons with each 100 rounds - the lower two cannons with each 80 rounds -

Maybe with those 30 mm cannons the Me 262 couldn't carry much ammo, and the pilot was a bad shot?
