To get to a higher resolution than 2048x2048, you'd first need to have skins with more res. The CFS3 / OFF skins are all made with 2048x2048 pixels, and you cannot get more, when you push the slider higher. I guess, that this 2048x2048 res is fully used, when you set aircraft on "5", and "Aircraft skins" on "High Resolution" in "Workshops". There is not any more possible right now.

Congrats on your recue, Flyby! But there is a way to make safety backups. You need: 1. a second hard disk or an external drive 2. ACRONIS TRUE IMAGE or another backup program You need to have OFF installed on the boot partion, which is C: All savegames and other stuff that might get changed by OFF is also on C: Now you only need to backup your whole C:partition with the above prgogram. You want to back it up on another drive or the external one. This brings you a lot of safety, cause you can restore your whole Windows, if anything goes badly wrong. You'd just write back the BackUp. Same for OFF and your pilots: write it back, and everything's there again.

I'm far from being a computer expert, but wouldn't it always be better to get you two hard disks? I have a smaller one, which is still partitioned into the Windows-part, and a games-part. The other harddisk is where I store my works; as well as my ACRONIS BackUps of my system. These can be written back to the C:partition, once there is a problem occuring.

Sounds like a joystick for lefthanders, flying with their left hand on the stick then, and operating the throttle with the right? But not every lefthander does it that way, guys. To make it even more complicated: I am left handed, but I operate the joystick with my right hand. I don't know how that came - possibly, because the throttles are mostly always on the left of the stick. Today, I wouldn't like it any other way.

During the last weeks I have been working on these factory-fresh Albatros D.Va skins, which I hadn't completed without the help of the other enthusiasts named below. I made two download packages; one for the Johannisthal-built 1917 and 1918 version, and one for the OAW 1917 and 1918 build. Here is a copy of the text which you will also find in the download section: ALBATROS D.V and D.Va Factory-new Johannisthal & OAW Skins / 1917 and 1918 Since several OFF-simmers had asked for generic skin templates which they could paint their own emblems or decorations on to, I have made four such templates for the Albatros D.Va. All four present the facory-new Albatros D.Va, freshly delivered. I know that many of you are into weathering effects. Well, such effects can much easier be added to a new plane, than to be removed. So please feel free to add as much weathering and battle-wearing as you like. While the D.V was only built by Albatros-Werke Johannisthal, the D.Va was also produced at "Ostdeutsche Albatros-Werke" (OAW). I got a lot of help (see below) about the details of these builds; the guys told me several differences between the two production lines. Many may regard these as minor ones, and perhaps call us "nitpickers", but we wanted to get it pretty close. The differences I regarded here are these: 1. while Albatros Johannisthal used salmon ribtape on the wings, while OAW used light blue tape. 2. The crosses on the fuselage sides were further back on the Johannisthal planes than on the OAW built ones. 3. The weight tables were different 4. The factory placards were placed under the cockpit for OAW-built, and on the side of the nose on the Johannisthal built ones. 5. The Albatros-Logo was looking in flight direction on the Johannis- thal-, and rearwards on the OAW-built ones. Finally, there is proof that the rudder was covered mostly with upper dark Lozenge, but there are also photos with light underside fabric. I didn't find any evidence so far for the OAW using the light, and Johannisthal the dark fabric, but I wanted to present both versions and so I did it that way. Scroll below the historical ace skins, and mine will be among the first skins. You can, for your identification, change the names "Johannisthal" or "OAW" into something personal, but keep the ending .dds - otherwise it won't work. Enjoy!

Hmmm - Never tried that, but I believe you. At the north sea coast, where I come from, we know smoked makerels, and they taste good when you eat them right after the proceedure. Then there are the smoked flank stripes of the spiny dogfish or mud shark, which we call "Schillerlocken" (Schiller's ringlets - named after poet Friedrich Schiller's hair); also very good. And smoked eels, which are good, when they are not too old. But carp? I had some good Chinese carp in a dark brown spicy sauce - that was delicious. Smoked - never seen yet.

Did you follow that step, that you left-clicked on the image in two steps? Left click 1 - now it appears single Left click on that single pic again - only now it appears largest, on a dark grey background. Only this one you should now right-click, and then follow the rest of the proceedure. Thanks for your instructions, Lou! You solved the mystery, why my signature pic was smaller than it should. I had not known, that I must go to the enlarged pic, and had clicked on the previous one. I had thought, they all have the same adress and therefor same size. My fault.
