You can watch the TrackIR demo or my last air combat, to see what it does: You may get a bit "air-sick" first, but later it feels very natural. I would get it - if I didn't have it already.

Jasta 2 was sent out to fly a patrol, but then instead... My last sortie I had fortunately recorded with FRAPS, cause it was surprising. We were supposed to fly a patrol south of Lens. Instead, we sighted Flak puffs short after takeoff. The video shows quite well a situation of surprise at rather low altitude. Without any Labels, TAC or other help, it is quite difficult to find out, what is going on around you; which of the specs are EA, and which are your friends, and all that; plus constantly checking 6. You could easily get dizzy. That's what this video demonstrates pretty well IMHO. Enjoy! Well, all I know is, that there is a number of people who are seriously suffering from E Coli, found of cucumbers from Spain. How the E Coli got on the cucumbers, and where that happened, has still to be researched. No paranioa - but nobody would like to get such a nasty infection.

Indeed, Widowmaker - and that wasn't the most black one. There was one about a guy who jumped with no parachute from 14.000 feet, smashing on the runway like a doll filled with strawberry jam. THAT one was so dark I didn't post it. After reading some about those days, I am thinking more and more, that the "common man" in those days was a lot harder in many ways. Not only tougher, but I really mean "harder" - against others and much against themselves. And they surely were far less fastidious.

Well, I had green cucumbers with friends last weekend, although we knew about this matter. We carefully washed them first, and then we totally peeled off the green. Let me take the chance to remember and to thank all those men and women, who helped fighting down the regime of the Nationalsozialisten - short: Nazis - I would have hated to live under such dictatorship. Those men and women fought a fight, that did cost so many of them their health, or even their lives, and most of them the inner calmness and peace of their souls. Thank you all!

I never liked the funny looking pilot faces - they looked like students with glasses. So I made a face mask for my pilot now. It still needs some work on it, but when it's ready, I'll add it to the download section.
