Well, Winder, olde chap, you should take some time off forthis more often. You may have missed, that the scenery in P3 was very beautiful already? I love flying in the Marne region with Jasta 15 or 21 for example. Now you got another step further - it's amazing. When you now connect the main towns with the roads, as they had been there, it's perfect!

In the "Download" section (button above) you find mods, maps, and aircraft skins made by users. There are lots to see through. I also recommend to get the free downloadable program IRFANVIEW, and see through the OFF skins. OFF offers the incredible amount of over 3.400 skins!!! You will find one, that suits you. Here is the download link. http://combatace.com/files/category/351-aircraft-skins/

Not automatically, but there are many stumps and posts, and many wires drawn between them. I only once found a patch were the landing worked well for me, more in the center of the mud. So I climbed out okay - but was caught POW; with no escape.

A rare hit is still a hit.

Yes, you can! You must! You're a soldier now!

Yes, I suppose there is a saying like: at war, and in love, everything is allowed.

In Quick Combat, you get a menue, where you can pick the plane and even a skin you prefer. You can fly all planes, but it may depend on the nationality of your pilot. Best create test pilots for each nationality, and activate the right one, before you go in there. You can pick the time of day and year, the number of own and enemy wingmen; and enemy plane type. I know nothing about Quick Scenarios. You can even fly the Quick Combat out of the "Workshop's" CFS3 Quick Combat. There you would get more choice - you could pick your home field, the exact weather etc.

Damn, the people were tough back in the days, when they were not yet unsettled by the insurance companies! -
You ever just zone out while in the air?

Bordeauxred Baron: "Zatt vass indeed vott I vass sayink; only ze laughter is wronk; it iss more like: Mmuahahahahaaaaaa!!!!" Hihi, I had a similar situation once, only that it wasn't me who was hit. It was like in Udet's book: we were flying west with 6 Albatros, the sun stood high in the south, and I felt very uncomfortable all the time. And really - out of the white glare, my wingman to the left was shot down burning; and only then I heard and saw the sandcoloured SPAD roaring past overhead. He was gone as quickly as he had appeared, and when I switched Labels on, it was too late to even read his name. But I'd like to believ it was Guynemer. -
That could be the British Mark IV tank, Hellshade. Here is a model:

"Bleech!!! Vere iss my Werkmeister! Feldwebel Zimmermann! Did you hand my Albatros out to der Crumpet?!?!" Isn't that great? That after two years, we can still discover such things?!

When you compare that, it was about time, that Mickeysoft gave the CFS3 engine to the devs, as a thank you present.

How Handy is the JS Generic Mod Enabler?

Okay, before you hang yourself - you better serve your country. The verdict shall be: - 3 patrols over enemy lines - 5 artillery spotting missions - 1 airfield or railyard attack Dismissed, Lieutenant! -
Oh, Bullethead - you surprise me once again! You know "Calvin & Hobbes"? Long time ago, I bought the first 5 books, and I still love them. "Bombay Sapphire" sounds great - so "Far East"!
-
Holy Moly! Look at the trees on the rims of the hills in the first shot - the failing sunlight is shining through them and makes them glow! The tones of sunset gold are wonderfully matched! I admit, that I didn't expect you to be able to drive the scenery much further - and I'm glad I was wrong. Marvellous, Winder! A virtual Warsteiner for the man - make it a big one!!

Yes, I am just trying it out. It makes more contrast, but that means, all dark parts get even darker. I'm not yet sure, if I will keep it. See my last posts in "Screenshots", they are made with it - and compare with earlier ones.
-
Yep, this was made using that mod from Creaghorn.

You can switch the TAC on, pause the sim, and then change targets to "Ground objects" or "Vehicles". Now you mark a ground target and go through the views with F4, until you get to the view of that target towards you. That way, you can see your fighters/bombers approaching, when you release "pause". Will be hard to fly though. But it's very good for paused screenshots. You can now press "next target" again and again, and so switch through all the views from those ground objects towards you.

I have just made my first flight with Bletchley's 1916 (III) Mod with my Jasta 2 pilot. I will make an exception and post the screenshots here once. As the "Battle of the Somme" is raging in that sector, I put "Active Sector" into JSGME. Here my report: We first encountered 5 BE2c and were about to attack them, when their escort of 3 Strutter appeared. We decided to let them go, as we had not reached our patrol sector at "Neuve Chapelle". Arriving at our patrol area, we came out of huge, thick grey clouds and found our 1. Kette, which was led by Leutnant Böhme, circling with 4 British Nieuport 17. When we arrived, Böhme's 5 Halberstadt, plus my 5 craft, vastly outnumbered the Tommies. When they realised that, they made good use of the dense clouds. I found it impossible to bring the one down, which I was chasing. I fired all my rounds after him, but he escaped me - although quite sieved through. Böhme's flight was luckier - I saw one Nupe going down, pulling a dark vertical line of thick smoke. Leutnant Bahr and Vizefeldwebel Holland from my flight could bring down another craft. The Nieuport exploded and fell to earth, burning. I collected my men and turned round to fly home, as some of us must have fired most of their ammo. On returning, we sighted Flak, and then 3 FE2b travelling along the line southwards, low. When we approached them, they turned west and ran over to their lines. We let them go and traveled on. Half way home, we sighted a flight of Roland "Walfisch" lower, flying in the same direction. We joined them for a part of the way, until they turned west. All our men returned to base unharmed and well. I found Creaghorn's tracers, as modded by Elephant, very good for even more realism, cause they are hardly visible and made it very hard to hit my opponent. This was a fine sortie!

I use TrackIR 4 Pro hardware, and updated the software to TIR5 - works fine for me.

Battle of Passchendaele 31 July - 6 November 1917 http://en.wikipedia....f_Passchendaele German side: Jasta 4, Jasta 6, Jasta 10, Jasta 11 - or: JG 1, based west - southwest of Courtai.

Boy, what a lovely story - why don't you write storybooks for kids, Bullethead? I want to know, what happened next!!! Let me guess, what you had today - Jack Daniels?
-
Hellshade, just pick the time of the Battle of the Somme, or Paschendaele, and then fly low over the front lines. It didn't hit my framerates negative in any way.

When I get one of those "non-realistic" missions, I always press either "optional flight", or even "advance time".
