OT Favourite TV Theme tune
Olham replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Hey - you know that series, von Paulus??? -
I have seen this often - it happens, when the enemy flight has an important mission task. They will follow their flight plan pretty stubbornly.

OT Favourite TV Theme tune
Olham replied to UK_Widowmaker's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Damn, von Paulus was faster - "The Avengers" Main Theme is absolutely brilliant! Well, I will present my next two choices here then: Title theme "Miss Marple" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zLU69kbagI&feature=related Raumpatrouille Orion (mid-sixties German SciFi) -
1. Soundtrack for "Gladiator" 2. Soundtrack for "L.A. Crash" (listen until the singing - it's overwhelming)

OT: Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
V.A.T.S. is great, when you're not the hunter, who needs to do the aiming over the gun. You often get slomos of the way of the bullet, right into your victim's head. What confuses me is, that the resolution of my monitor is not among the choices at all. I had to pick another one. Could that make it crash? -
PC requirements and a few questions
Olham replied to Av8er's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Av8er, I will soon upgrade my rig a lot, and I'm going for either the NVidea or ZOTAC 460 GTX with 1 GB, ot the ATI 6870 with 1 GB. You can get each card for around 200,- Euro, and you would have a very high reaching card. -
Your No. 1 All Time greatest Classical music choice
Olham replied to Dej's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Your the specialist here, Dej, with quite an interesting choice, I have never even heard of. My knowledge of Classical Music is not very experienced, and my choice may be more obvious. 1. "Symphony No. 9 "From the new World" by Antonin Dvorak 2. "The Blue Danube" by Johann Strauss 3. Symphony No. 1 "Winter Dreams" by Peter Tschaikowsky -

Yes, I have that one too; they were very nice - but Procol Harum were overwhelming. Weren't they? -

Funny, I just mentioned it the same minute! What a great first record to get! Von Paulus and Shredward, we must be soul mates. -

"Homburg", "A Salty Dog" and "Whaling Stories" would all be great choices by that great and so underrated band, Shredward. And you as a Canadian must be a bit proud of their live-recording with the Edmonton Symphonie Orchestra & the Da Camera Singers", I bet. For me the best work of a rock band together with an orchestra. -

Dej, why not make a thread about the favourite classical piece of music? -
Sunken WWI german submarine found
Olham replied to Hellshade's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
It is lying pretty deep in the water for some reason. Here is how they looked 1914 in Kiel. But they are smaller than the WW2 ones. -

Sade is the most beautiful sleeping pill I've ever seen. UncleAl, now you really got me totally surprised, Sir! Lennon's "Imagine" - who would have thought you came up with this song?! -
A Beauty: Wingnut's ROLAND D.VI by Ray Rimell

I don't get it, Dej - that DH-2 looks great. What's the difference to a flying model? The moving parts, okay - but is that really so much harder to do? Lewie, have you ever had a look at "The Vintage Aviator" ? There you will find great photodocumentation about building replicas. http://thevintageaviator.co.nz/projects/albatros-dva/albatros-dva-timelapse-construction-video -
Lewie, the way we drink it - deep brownred, with only a teaspoon of cream - is too strong for British taste, as I experienced there: they always wanted me to pour hot milk into it. Half and half! Gaaahhh!! It needs one "Kluntje" or candy rock. To hell with your sugar intake! Just drop other things like Coke or cake. But yes - it is intense! That's why I drink it!

OT: Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Thank you both, iti and Hasse Wind. But I'm not sure if I will be happy with FALLOUT 3. My Austrian edition keeps crashing totally. I got me a patch, but still it happens. It could me my rig, which is faul somehow (memory?), but I'll only know in May, when I have the new rig ready. -

Sigh! Dej and ReDDoT, yours are not available here... -
Lewie, I only drink "Ostfriesentee". My favourite label is "Thiele & Freese Silber" - a blend of fine Assams. Strong and heartwarming supply with new energy!
-
Again, Flyby - the "Review" of the mission is listing each and every event. Numerous frames will pop up during review, what you fired (number of rounds) and what you hit; or when you receive enemy fire. Just watch that "review" - that's closest to what you want to know.

OT: Fallout 3 - Game of the Year Edition
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Is "Cliffs of Dover" out already? I made my first steps outside the Vault, and killed several Raiders. Not sure, if I should have tried to talk to them. They shot at me, so I killed them. Wasn't easy with a pistol, but now I have a gun! -
Well, I would check the DVD carefully and if it looked okay, install the sim. This sounds very strange though, and you should report it to: support@overflandersfields.com In times of terrorism, you never know, who may be checking such stuff as CDs and DVDs. But the package damage isn't okay, of course.

A Beauty: Wingnut's ROLAND D.VI by Ray Rimell
Olham replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Yeah, I knew there is a lot with it, and I haven't yet made a decision. I think, that the Air Wrench/FM stuff would be done by the dev team anyway, and wanted just to build the plane. But then there is still plenty of work to do. They use 3 models for three steps of distance to it, which had to be built. And yes, I would very much love to still find time to fly OFF.
