  1. That might be, TaillyHo - although I usually get a claim form after victories without witnesses. When I fill it in, I receive a "Claim erroneus" then - but the form comes up. But you have named a truely good reason - in RL, I would not have had witnesses. I'll take it as that, and I don't grumble. I am getting the kills easy enough, as it is.
  2. Yeah, that's what I thought!

That is exactly what they are NOT showing. They are showing that they are pretty helpless with what they have now. And they have been showing before, that they were pig ignorant to the well known facts, that a Tsunami in that region after a heavy earthquake would be 10 - 12 Meter high. They have shown, that man is NOT capable to deal with such a dangerous power. I have just seen an interview with a professor for nuclear technology from Munich, Germany. He said, that the attempt to cool the reactor with sea water may very well lead to an explosion of the reactor. He said, that it is very likely, that all 4 reactors will melt down, and possibly blow up then. In that case, an area of at least 200 kilometers around the power plant - better would be 400 km - should be evacuated. This is not likely to be possible - Tokio is within the 200-km-range. See the picture below. It could - perhaps - be that, if it was in the right hands. That means: NOT in the hands of businessmen and politicians. Plutonium power plants are the most dangerous things to build for producing energy. The "greenest things" are: - to use less energy - the full use of solar power (most effectively possible in deserts) - the additional use of wind power But I am afraid, that this will not be done, before the businessmen haven't used up all other ways of producing energy. I speculate, why: wind and sun could be claimed by all people to be FREE energies.
  4. You should try 1916 - not so many enemy flights. And there is a time BEFORE getting under attack. If you fly careful and aware enough, you will spot the enemy flight, before they spot you. And then you must decide: do you have the advantage - or will you better run. Even MvR ran away, if he was in a disadvantage. Survival! Try it.
  5. OT: I'm Tired

I meant Apollo 11 - the first men on the moon.
  6. I can send you two or three basic ones with different wood tones. I can send you BMP-files in their original size - a PSD with layers would be far too big to mail. You can open them in Photoshop, and add your layers then. PM me your E-mail address, cause they would still be quite large.
  7. Ah, I see. "Vell, I can assure you, british Gentlemen, zatt der Dr.1 is NOT porked - or "versaut", as we say in Dsherrmany. It is not verry fast though - zatt is der only advantadge you Crumpetz vill hav over it! Run, Crumpetz, run!!! Mmuahahahahahahaaaaa!!!!

First, you press "Select next weapon" (whatever button you use); then "fire/drop ordnance". Here is what you get - 1. white; 2. red; 3. green. They go up first and then come down behind you.
  9. Flares

Did you try it with "External view" ? Cause they seem to go down right beneath your craft.
  10. Well, I had to look up "to pork", and, ahm... well, I don't quite understand, what - ahm... what you devs have done to the Dreidecker???
  11. OT: I'm Tired

When I feel like my problems are too big, I sit down and remember one picture I will never forget: the earth, seen from the moon through the camera of Apollo 11. Seeing that, I thought: what a well made pearl!
  12. Not normally, Hasse Wind. I use the tracers of Creaghorn and elephant, which are very hard to see at all, and I normally shoot down 1 craft, sometimes 2 craft per fight. In this case, I could not do anything else but fight - those Tripes were everywhere around us. I wouldn't have minded, if I had only been allowed to claim 1 craft. But none - that wasn't fair.
  13. That would be too much honour!
  14. Jasta 5: Vizefeldwebel Harms has meanwhile received the EK I and the confirmation of 9 victories. Being an ace now, he was "invited" by Josef Mai, Fritz Rumey and Otto Könnecke, to paint the tail plane of his Albatros green, with a red outline; and so he told his Werkmeister to do so. The morning sortie of 7 May 1917 was a balloon defense mission, which turned out to be impossible to accomplish. 12 of our Albatros were over the spotter, when we got under attack from 9 RNAS Tripes. We fended them all off, and at least 4 of them went down. Harms could down 2 of them, but then he found himself alone and tried to return home. But another RNAS flight of Tripes appeared - there were at least 8 of them. He tried to run home, but two craft came after him, catching up slowly but surely. Harms flew to the balloon base - now it should be their turn to help him. He circled around the balloon as tight as possible, and so did the Triplanes. While they played roundabout, more of the Tripes arrived at the balloon. With the help of the ground fire, Harms shot down 3 more of them - then he was alone again. The enemy had retreated! Unfortunately, the balloon ground crew had shot up their sausage with their heavy Flak fire. Harms finally landed at Douai, cause his way home was blocked by S.E.5a and SPAD VII. Bad luck for the player: the OFF Manager did not come up with a claims report after all this! Damn!

  16. OT: I'm Tired

It helps remain open for the love for something or someone. Von Paulus likes Bach; I rather hear more recent stuff, and can get absorbed in it. If you can merge completely into something, you can be happy as a kid. And when I notice, I am happy, then it's already going again - happyness is nothing one can preserve. I can only try to remain open for it - to stay tuned. I'm rather non-wealthy, but right now I'm rich: I have time, I have OFF, and I have two toasts with raspberry jam plus a mug of fresh, hot coffee! And now excuse me - I have to fly a mission.

  18. OT: I'm Tired

Lou, you had me worried there for a sec. I feel the same spring tiredness (at least I'd like to call it that - we don't want to think it might not go away ). As I don't have a granddaughter, I will have to work myself out of this depression. So I started with tidying and cleaning up. And - oh, lord! - it was not a minute too early. Sooooooo much to improve here! But I am grown-up (I often find it necessary to remind myself of that), and so I know: The best cure for mental suffering is physical suffering! When my soul is in disorder, I put the flat in order - it helps! (Only the way until then is nasty!) I know what you mean about playing with a little kid. I like to watch parents playing with their little ones in our nearby park, and there are always some astounding or amazing observations or remarks made by the "dwarfs", which show the world in a totally new light. Go and make those snow angels - and when the aliens watch them from their UFOs, let them wonder, what it could mean. Signs of infantile life. Enjoy it!
  19. OT - Another Disaster

The nuklear power plants in Germany are always said to be necessary, cause they do produce about 20 % of Germany's total power production. What they do not say is, that Germany is selling power to it's neighbouring countries. 20 % of Germany's whole production go to France. So it is not necessary for Germany - it is just a big business deal. Finnland may be one of the safest places to build them. But I hope the world will at least learn so much from the Japanese disaster, that they add a lot more safety for the worst scenario cases. We must be aware - we are trying to handle the most dangerous and long lasting poison. I have read, that only the small amount of 300 gramm Plutonium fine dust spread all over the world, would be enough to cause the whole of mankind to get lung cancer. The half-life of Plutonium 239 is 24.000 years. That means, that it will only decay to half in 24.000 years. Pluto was the Greek god of the underworld, by the way. The humour - or the awareness - of the scientists...
  20. OT - Another Disaster

How could it be over? All 4 reactor blocks need cooling. The power supply units are destroyed by the Tsunami. The emergency batteries are running down. The worst scenario is becoming more and more likely: that all 4 reactor cores will melt down and explode. So much for human safety standards.
  21. OT: Facebook?

To quote Douglas Adams: It's just the normal paranoia, that everyone has in this galaxy.
  22. OT - Another Disaster

Alright - I shouldn't use Latin phrases, when I can't read any Latin really: would you translate your lines, Bullethead? Didn't have Latin in school. That video UncleAl posted might be your cup of rum - did you see it?
  23. OT: Facebook?

I would be rather careful with sharing my personal informations in the internet. And if I want to find an old classmate, I have other ways. I would definitely not want to be found by each and every old classmate I ever had. So, no, I'm not on Facebook - nor any other such web portal.
  24. OT - Another Disaster

Not yet, Hasse Wind. The reactor can melt down any time, when they cannot build a circuit with sea water. Then it will explode.
  25. Flares

Yes, I know that Hasse Wind had a picture with a green flare. Hope he will read this.
